Supermodel to star alongside Mischa Barton in three seasons of ‘The Beautiful Life’

Elle MacPherson has every right to be pleased with herself. Not only has she just received a complimentary Jaguar XJ for a year, her latest TV show, The Beautiful Life has just been commissioned by American network CW.

When I caught up with the Australian Supermodel last week she seemed over the moon by the News. ‘They have just commissioned three seasons of the show and I’m really looking forward to filming it,’ She told me. ‘The pilot was a huge success so they are backing the show and are giving it prime billing.’

The film will be shown in Los Angeles, New York and Lousville from July 17th and will then expand to additional cities including Denver, Colorado and Madison, Wisconsin  from July 24th. Follow this link for exact cinema locations.

Mischa Barton is an British-American film, television, and stage actress, perhaps best known for her role as Marissa Cooper in the American television series The O.C.

Launched at this year’s Australian Fashion Week in April, the works are now online at www.sassandbide.com – where fans can place bids on them before the bidding continues at an event at The Dairy in London on July 23. The proceeds of the auction will be donated to Barnardos UK and Australia to help fund workshops for abused children, hosted by the Sass & Bide designers; Heidi Middleton and Sarah-Jane Clarke.

“We are so excited to be back in London for our Shine project,” the designers told VOGUE.COM. “London is where our label was born so to be back here celebrating 10 years, exhibiting the works of 10 special friends for a cause that is so close to our hearts, it’s a really wonderful feeling. Each child we help will also receive a grant to pursue a dream.”

To celebrate ten years of creating, we invited ten of our favourite souls to interpret what ’shine’ means to them…Kate Moss, Barry Humphries, Rankin, Daisy Lowe, Sam Taylor-Wood, Emma Hawkins, Darren Middleton, Twiggy, Daimon Downey, Mischa Barton, and Sarah-Jane Clarke & Heidi Middleton have each created artworks which will support ‘The Shine Collective’ project, a sass & bide and Barnardos initiative. The charity collaborative launched in April ‘09 at Australian Fashion Week with an exhibition of the artworks. The artworks will be auctioned in London on July 23rd, 2009. The proceeds will fund creative counseling workshops for abused children and will be hosted by Sarah-Jane Clarke (sass) and Heidi Middleton (bide), in Australia and Britain.
