I met this very special couple only a few months ago and it’s strange to say that only after spending a couple of hours with them, that I know them well.  How is that even possible?  I’m astonished myself cos’ I can spend a lot more time with friends.. & it often takes longer than a few hours to get to know them well.

I believe the answer to that question is mainly due to how much Euan & Grace gave of themselves and showed to me in this new type of photography session I’m offering - called “Beloved”.   I see the depth of their love for each other – through the look of admiration they have for each other, the emotion shown… and just that contentment I can so clearly see and FEEL.

There’s so much more I could say, but I’m going to let the images tell their story instead.

I asked Grace to share with me her thoughts after our beloved session together …

I was extremely emotional but I think it’s because the questions you asked reminded me of all the reasons why I fell in love with Euan to begin with.

Life as a couple isn’t only based on mutual love, but also on teamwork and since having kids, the teamwork aspect of our relationship has taken us to great heights. For me, I guess the romance has taken a back seat at the moment. (Not that I’m complaining about that at all!) But it was special to have that afternoon at Parsley Bay – just an hour or so – to sit quietly, laugh gently and remind each other why we made that commitment of marriage to begin with.  To me, the photo session felt as though I was renewing my vows.

We also came home from the park with this renewed sense of love and admiration for each other. And it was hard to believe that it only took an hour to reignite all those feelings again!

Of course,  I cried buckets when I saw the sneak peek image. But it was tears of joy and pure happiness. 

The photo will always remind me why I fell in love with Euan and I guess it truly captures how loving we can be with each other. 

Thanks again for giving us this fantastic opportunity.  

Grace & Euan, thank YOU for our time together.   I feel I experienced a little more about love through our time together.  And whilst I haven’t met that special someone in my life yet…  hearing and SEEING your love for each other – what you mean to each other, and how much you admire each other.. moved me tremendously.  Thank you for showing me who you both are for each other and I fell in love with you both in the process.

I’m sooo excited to announce that I’m planning to do more photography sessions with couples in the future…

BUT these aren’t going to be just a typical couple photography session… I’ll write a bit further on my blog about what a beloved photography session entails.

However, they say a photo says a thousand words, so here is a very special moment I captured in a recent beloved session.

I was so glad to see the sun come out today!  Not only because it was such a wet and cold week in Sydney, but because I finally met the lovely Ingram family, after having to reschedule their session due to the rain last week.

Hi Everyone,

Hope you had a lovely weekend… and for those of you in Sydney, that you enjoyed the lovely sunny Spring weather!

When chatting to Satomi to prepare for their fun family playdate photography session, I asked her whether there was a special place where they would like to have their family portraits at.  It’s something I typically ask mums, and  I was pleasantly surprised by her answer.   Did you know that you could sponsor a tree at Centennial Park?

Well you certainly can… and this is exactly where we went to capture their memories of Hiroto as a little boy!   Isn’t he one cute kid?

I’ve been looking forward to photographing this family for a while now and was so delighted when we finally set the date for our fun playdate!

You see, Carol and I were highschool mates all those years ago at MGS, and lost touch after I left Singapore all those years ago.. but thanks to a few other common friends.. and facebook , we starting chatting again earlier this year.   And that’s when I met cheeky Sophie!

I reckon I probably would have been that cheeky in my younger days

Carol owns a very exciting kids clothing store – Elly.  For those of you who haven’t heard of them, you HAVE to visit their website – it’s full of gorgeous clothing and I love the way they have designed their store in Cluny Court too!

let me introduce you to this very lovely family that i met on my recent trip to singapore

i loved that they knew how to have fun together.. and their funny faces were simply hilarious!

even as i was editing this session, i couldn’t help but smile

and it’s so clear from these images that karen + daniel are so very much in love!

karen + daniel – thank you for allowing me to spend time with your family.. you were all such a bundle of joy you to be around. &  we had so much fun…even if we forgot to use the bubbles!
