this photography session was different.  typically i take photos of families with kids.  but this one was different.

this shot reminds me of some advertisement… i reckon it highlights the fun aspect of the vespa!

first fun photography session of the year, and i was so excited when jase and cath asked me to help them with some lovely portraits of their first born james.

he’s soo adorable, and seriously has the bluest eyes i’ve ever seen. (for those of you who don’t know this lovely family, i assure you this is straight out of my camera and i have NOT saturated james’ lovely blue eyes!

james might only be 7+ months old, but i can already tell he’s one smart kid.  guess that’s only natural, having parents like both of you

one of the best things i love is experiencing family lives of those i’m privileged to photograph.

and jase, it was so great to see you in the context of being a father. i knew you were heaps capable whilst working together at macquarie bank.. but seeing the love you have for your family was beautiful.  and i even found out another hidden talent of yours – the rubber face!  check out james’ big smile when he looks at you with that face

cath, from our short time together, i can see you soo enjoy being with james – singing him lots of cool songs which keep him so amused and happy.

together, you guys are a great couple and awesome parents -  james is one lucky kid

i’m so looking forward to showing you the rest of the photos soon!

So glad the sun is out and shining today!

Last weekend, I was supposed to meet this gorgeous little lady, but due to the wet weather our fun meeting was postponed.

Today, the sun was out and little Grace was simply adorable – it certainly was worth the wait!

hi everyone,

it’s been cold and rainy weather here in Sydney, and i couldn’t help but smile when i saw these images.. i thought i’d share it with you all – as we can always do with more laughter in our lives!

i simply adore this sequence of images – kids just have such natural expressions!  the more i observe kids, the more i think life is more enjoyable when simple things in life make us happy!

it’s made me think – maybe i should have a regular blog post each week.. of images that make me smile!  what do you think? would that be something you would be interested in?  leave me a comment and let me know whether you would like that?

Last weekend, I photographed a uni friend of mine – Marino and his lovely family.

Looking back at the images, I simply can’t believe how fast time has flown!  It seemed like only yesterday that we were at Uni.  Now Marino is happily married to Dharshia and they have 2 lovely and energetic boys

One of the things I love about what I do is getting to know families – I consider it a real privilege seeing how they interact with each other and seeing them as their close friend would.. not simply as a stranger with a camera!

I saw Marino in a different light today – as a father and from the way that his eldest son Dharshan looked at him, I can tell there is so much love in the family.

Thanks Marino & Dharshia for the lovely afternoon with Aarya & Dharshan!  I had so much fun.. especially at the end with the surprise gift for my special helper Dharshan

Hi All,

Last week was a week of many “firsts” for me…  including photographing a chilly winter wedding!

The couple were so laid back and certainly braved the sub 5 degree cold and windy day in Bowral on their lovely wedding day last Saturday.

I met this lovely family this week and  I’m so glad they braved the tentative weather as it was only raining 1h before our photography session.  Luckily, the rain stopped just in time and we even saw the sun during our fun picnic dinner!

I remember growing up as a kid and being the eldest in the family, I always wanted an older brother or sister.  To see the beautiful caring interaction that Alessi had for Amelie was simply beautiful

Adam & Karissa – it was a real pleasure getting to know your family better.  Adam – I’m so glad we met all those years ago and that you rang me when wanting to surprise your lovely wife with a special Mothers Day gift!  Your daughters are simply adorable and a real testament to the love and care you’ve raised them up with.

I met this lovely family in a triathlon group a few years back.. and have also admired how Mark & Lisa find the time to train for their Ironman triathlon events whilst raising up two gorgeous kids!

Hi Everyone,

In response to some recent feedback, I’m excited to announce that I will be holding my first ever Special Mini Photography Sessions for Mother’s Day this year!  One of the things I love about what I do is having the opportunity to meet some fabulous families and capture their special family moments.   I’m passionate about families having wonderful photographs that display the love of their lives whilst having a great experience and these Mother’s Day sessions have been designed with that in mind.

My Mother’s Day package will cost $300 and includes a forty five minute photography session outdoors for a family of four.  It also includes three 5 x 7 inch matted prints as well as one 8 x 12 inch matted print.  At the time of booking, we will also make a time for viewing these photos at my place in Randwick, where you will choose your favourite photos.  When you place your order, there will be an opportunity to get these framed or made into canvases or make some lovely albums at 10% off my normal prices.

Currently, I’ve listed two dates in May for these Mother’s Day sessions at either a Park (on the 21st May) or a Beach (on the 28th May) location.  Please note that a $100 deposit is required to secure your booking, with the balance due at the time of session.

These mini sessions are shorter than my normal photography session and if you have more than 2 kids, it’s best to book two back to back mini-sessions or simply book a normal photography session.   If you have a newborn, it’s probably best to book my normal photography sessions as more time is needed for those precious young ones!
This package makes for a wonderful Mother’s Day gift so do spread the word to your friends with kids!
