I have recently gotten into no-heat curls, and I must say, they are AMAZING. It definitely adds more to my laziness. Don't know if that's a good or bad thing. Excuse my swinging of the feet in every picture. Sitting on ledges instantly causes a swinging-of-feet effect. A bad habit that stems from an impatient childhood and the need to urgently explore every bit of my surroundings.

I adore this dress with a passion. It fits so perfectly, and I love the slits on the sides. Have you noticed a trend with my outfits lately? All of them have slits! I really can't wait to wear this dress to a festival or concert. I really get a bohemian-vibe from it. Do you like it?

As Matt and I were taking these pictures, there was a lonesome college-aged student playing guitar by himself under a beautiful white gazebo while the sun beamed down on him. He started playing a beautiful song which made up this mood for the pictures. As we were about to leave he played one of my favorite songs, "Skinny Love" by Bon Iver. This was the perfect moment to an incredible day.

I'm afraid April Showers are coming over into May, and it's supposed to rain a lot after these sunny two days we've had. I haven't been able to post in awhile because it rained for 9 days straight before this post. Oh! A fashion blogger's ultimate woe!

My outfit today was definitely vintage-inspired. I paired a lovely vintage needle point purse with two gold cuffs, an adjustable gold vintage necklace I bought the other day for $0.99, and a vintage fringed-jacket. I usually hate gold, but couldn't resist the alluring trend coveting my being. Do you notice my love for slit things?? I love slits, cut-outs, etc. I'm afraid that's my new obsession.

22nd Birthday. (April 21st)

April 21st marked my 22 years on this earth. My, how time flies! Being 22 already feels better than being 21! I would like to thank my readers, well, for reading my blog, and to Matthew, my love, for supporting me in everything.

The Weight of the World.

By some sort of luck, the Blogging Gods endowed me with this picturesque location on a whim. Matt and I were driving home from Cincinnati and we spotted these two hot air balloons in the middle of nowhere. I yelled at Matt to pull over and we decided to take pictures here. With some of my posts, we sometimes plan the location or some poses(because I'm not photogenic at all) and you know, we have an amazing post. But this day, everything was un-planned and even though the hot air balloons were in the background, I couldn't really see them behind me so I was standing wherever and everything just seemed to fall into place. I guess that the universe is trying to teach me a lesson to calm down with having everything planned, and to just go with the flow of things.

It's definitely such a great lesson to take into my birthday this Saturday the 21st. I love April. I love life, and love how there is beauty is everywhere. Especially in the sky. Look up! Look up! as Mr. Chaplin has said.

My Heart Belongs to Cincinnati.

Every time I visit this wondrous city named Cincinnati, my heart skips a beat. This city will take your breath away, and is the best city in Ohio in my opinion. It may not be the streets of Rome, or the gardens of Paris, but it is my little Europe. I dream to live here one day, and maybe my dream will be a reality in a few years. I hope my photos have invoked a positive feeling in you, my reader, for we tend to look past the beauty all around us, when it was right in front of us all along.

To also add more excitement to this place, I wore a beautiful dress that literally made all heads turn towards myself. I honestly don't want to take it off because it has a lustrous flow to it that I adore so much. The back of the dress also adds allurement to the dress. Don't you love it? I find it perfect paired with my Chanels.

Okay, okay, I know what you all are thinking. These are from 2009! Why did she just finally get these?! It's always better late than never, right? (As is with most of my shoes nowadays) Trust me, I would have gotten them in a heart beat but fashion news travels to Ohio very slowly. By the time the news of this shoe reached me, they were already sold out. Trends don't nearly show up as fast over here and you're lucky if you can even manage to escape the non-existent fashion news bubble here. I've had my eyes on these shoes for over 3 years and could not hold my excitement when I recently found these YSL shoes in my size...brand new! Apparently they were special-ordered for Björk by YSL but somehow she didn't want them or something and they ended up purchased by me. How wonderful! After putting these shoes on, I couldn't take them off for an hour because they were so intricate and unique I couldn't stop staring at them. I don't know how I'm going to wear these out.

I haven't updated in so long that I've wondered how many of you have noticed! Things are really good here, as Spring came early in March. Here are the Magnolia trees in full-bloom. Magnolias are something that inspires me greatly and I hope it inspires you too! These flats remind me of something a Persian Goddess would wear. With its beautiful shimmer, and gold color. Don't you love it? I find it to be perfect and true to size.

Sweater: Theyskens' Theory Shoes: Chanel Tights: F21

Ohio has been having an unusually warm winter, and I have been able to wear tights and a light sweater out. I will be the last person to complain about not having snow! I believe this is the last "warm" day we will be having here so I will have to say good-bye to wearing these kinds of outfits for now.

This is a short post to depict my new Theyskens' Theory sweater. The material is very rich in warmth for how thin it is, and I love the deep V-cut neck, especially since you don't really see these kinds of sweaters in the winter! I am also wearing my Chanel shoes for the first time. I love these shoes so much due to it's uniqueness.

Dress: LOVE ASYMMETRICAL MAXI DRESS Shoes: ALDO

I didn't really have time to take outfit pictures, because our mini-vacation was cut short. We stayed at the French Lick Resort in Indiana. I have to admit I was a bit worried there wouldn't really be anything to do here, but was I wrong! The first official day was spent at the resort's spa to receive an infamous "French Lick Mineral Bath" which was super relaxing and afterwards I felt as if I could climb Mount Kilimanjaro. This little town intrigued me in many ways, and I hope one day to return again. After visiting French Lick, I realized how much I miss Mont-Tremblant in Québec! I definitely recommend visiting this area once in your life if you live in the U.S.

I can't believe it will soon be the 1st of January 2012 in less than 24 hours. So many things have happened to me this year, from having the courage to start my blog, to almost losing a loved one. There were many obstacles to overcome this year, and I'm honestly glad 2011 is over. I feel as if my life is just beginning, and I cannot wait for what 2012 will bring. As I have said in one of my previous posts, I would like to post more often, do more DIYs, and to make my readers more entertained with my blog's content. I will not let living in a small town deter my dreams in anyway.

I would like to take this time to thank all of my readers, especially loyal readers. I read each and everyone of your comments, I try to answer every e-mail with a thorough response, and I want you all to know that I love you. Each and everyone of you. If I could all give you a hug right now, I would. As the Beatles say, "All you need is love." Here's to loving yourselves, and showing love to every one you encounter.

I hope that all of you had a great Holiday! Christmas was spent at Matt's parent's house this year, and this is my 3rd Christmas with his family. I love them very dearly! My Christmas was also fantastic, and Santa definitely brought me what I wanted! For this Christmas, I received my new Nikon D5100. I was thinking about making videos for my blog as well. What do you think?!

I found this vintage dress the other day at the thrift store for only $5!! I thought it was so beautiful, and all throughout the night I received numerous compliments on it. This proves that fashion doesn't always have to break the bank!

It's supposed to snow next week and to tell the truth, I am not ready for colder weather. Today was the last "warm" day of the year, and I'm dreading next Friday when it's supposed to snow. I really have no clue how to stay fashionable in winter, really. Do you? I find myself engulfed in non-flattering sweaters, with 2 layers of sweatpants, and 3 coats on. I get cold easily, and when the cold hits me, my body physically hurts.

I'm wondering if I have to do my blog posts inside of my home when the inevitable cold comes!

I've noticed in a lot of my posts I always look so serious. But I'm totally not! Usually what goes on behind the scenes is me constantly giggling because I don't know how to pose which frustrates Matt which then frustrates me. I have never been one to go in front of the camera. I've always been the person behind the camera so it's a big change for me.

I tried to make this shoot a lot more fun, I hope you like it! These past 2 weeks for me have been the unluckiest of 2011, so I'm trying to stay positive in light of all the bad things that have been coming my way. Keep positive guys! It works!

Matthew found a couple of houses built in the 1800s only a few minutes away from our house the other day. I was persistent in visiting this place, as I love anything that has history to it. It saddens me to see things nowadays built with lack of passion, or lack of true humanity, and to have seen these houses made me severely happy.

Anyways, here's my outfit for today, a more laid-back outfit for Fall. I still can't believe how cold it has gotten and how un-prepared I truly am for winter! I badly want to protest against the cold weather by weather summer clothes!

Fall is here and the weather has been quite a bit enjoyable. The weather makes me want to snuggle up in all my fuzzy blankets and drink some hot chocolate all day everyday. I can feel my being change as the days past by. I feel more mature, and in-charge of my life. As 2011 comes to an end, I want to confront all of my fears, dreams, hopes, and questions about my future.

By next year I would like to start making my own clothes, doing more DIY-projects, and post more for my blog. I can't wait for what next year will bring!

Hello all!

I am so sorry for my absence. I feel like the weather has been draining the energy out of me since it's been very dark & grey mixed with rain. Winter is coming fast, my least favorite season! I despise the cold all-together as I grew up on an island for most of my life.

Remember awhile back when I returned those Pour La Victoire shoes that I received from Matthew on my birthday? Well, after months and months of trying to look for the perfect shoes, I stumbled across these Chanel ones. My first designer item! I went a little crazy with the pictures. Finally, my April birthday present is here! I don't know if I can wear these out just yet!
