Mission for Area People would like to extend a heartfelt “THANK YOU” to all the generouse people in our community who helped make the 2011 Holiday Season brighter for over 600 families and 1,400 children in our community. This past year has been a struggle for many families, as well as agencies, but somehow the most giving, generous people in our community came through.

Thank you to all the corporate sponsors, the individual sponsors and all the volunteers. Your donations and time make a difference in all we do. The support of our community is very much appreciated. May 2012 bring Peace, Hope, and Prosperity to those we serve and to our generous donors.

Mission for Area People would like to thank the new Philanthropic Organization, Muskegon County Men Who Care for choosing MAP as the first recipient of their generous financial gift.

Mission for Area People received $9,100.00 from the Men Who Care Organization. Their generous gift is very much appreciated and needed to help MAP continue the work in our community and serve the most vulnerable.

Paper Products Needed

The Supper House is experiencing a decline in paper product donations. Increasing numbers of people being served not only raises the cost of the food we serve, but also raises the cost of the amount spent on paper products.

Donated products help a great deal in keeping our costs down. Those looking for ways to help might consider giving a gift of money that would go toward the purchase of paper products, or purchasing the plates and cups, which can be dropped off at the kitchen anytime. Items needed are 10-1/2″ divided Styrofoam plates, 9 oz. cold cups, and plastic silverware. Of course your donation, whether it be monetary or in items, will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for all you do!

Mission for Area People is looking for 3 or 4 dedicated volunteers to help out in the Food Pantry and Clothing Pantry every 3 weeks for about 6 hours per week.
