The service will begin at 7 PM with a season of repentance and confession and then times of prayer and then continue with special prayers for the people of our community.

This will begin a period of 40 Days of Prayer that will lead up to the kickoff of our Celebrate Recovery ministry March 25th and Palm Sunday.

To listen to the Prosperity Gospel proclaimed today, if Paul were truly “faithful”, he would have been content to “manifest his belief” by luxuriating in a mansion in Tarsus overlooking the Mediterranean!

If that’s what the Good News is, why did he risk his life preaching God’s Word?

What explains his profound sense of obligation and amazement that the Good News is for Gentiles too?

The “Prosperity Gospel” cannot explain it.

So what can?

Celebrate Recovery Begins March 25, 2010

Lawrenceburg, TN (February 9, 2010) “Celebrate Recovery” is a nationwide Christ Centered 12 Step Recovery ministry for anyone seeking God’s help to overcome their “Hurts, Hang-ups, or Habits”.

Celebrate Recovery in Lawrenceburg TN will start at 6:00 PM on Thursday March 25, 2010 for a kick off meal, Worship Time at 7:00PM , and Small Groups for men and women at 8:00 PM in the facilities of St. Andrew’s Church. St. Andrew’s Church is located at 1025 W Gaines in Lawrenceburg, TN next door to the Westside Gym and Nature’s Nuggets complex. The Church meets for Bible study each 10:00AM on Sunday and then worships at 11:00AM as well as sponsoring Celebrate Recovery .

Got a hurt, hang-up, or habit? Struggling to get your life back after a military deployment? Just need someone to listen without trying to “fix” you? Want a Christ centered environment for dealing with life’s struggles? You’re welcome here.

Aslan the Lion and Christ figure of C.S. Lewis' "Narnia"

In C.S. Lewis’ book The Weight of Glory, Lewis reminds us who it is we really meet each day as we go through life. Perhaps if we do dwell upon and remember these words, we shall be able to live each day with an eternal perspective that prompts us to honor Jesus Christ by sharing His Good News. After all what follows is only try by virtue of our union with Jesus Christ – being found “in Him” – or not:

…the dullest and most uninteresting person you may talk to may one day be a creature which, if you saw it now, you would be strongly tempted to worship, or else a horror and corruption such as you now meet if at all only in a nightmare.
