You may recognize this Vivienne Westwood for Cole and Son wallpaper from my Red Red Rooms post a few weeks ago. To tell you the truth, I can't get enough. I'd love to use it in a bathroom or kitchen -- or everywhere! I'm partial to the red, but the blue is just as fabulous. What do you think?

In decorating our new house, I've noticed that I'm using a lot of red. Our bedroom, the living room the kitchen -- they all have notes of red throughout. I never thought of myself as a very redcentric person (I usually veer towards greens and blues) but I am starting to really love this potent shade. The rooms pictured above offer quite a bit of inspiration too!

Gwynn Griffith's San Antonio is eclectic, chic and truly one-of-a-kind. The designer has made her home out of an 1880s factory and has won me over in the process -- these photos from Elle Decor are to die for. Does anyone know of any old factories for sale in Austin?

I spotted this picture on Pinterest (originally from Martha Stewart Living) and I couldn't help but be inspired. I have an old wooden screen that now serves as a headboard, but I love the idea of painting it and then wallpapering the panels to create a pretty room divider. Maybe a "before and after" project is in order....

The Cabinet Bar

We are relocating to a little house in a few weeks (so long, apartment life!) and are taking an armoire with us. I was flipping through old issues of House Beautiful and spotted this shot of Mary McDonald's cabinet bar. I love the idea of mimicking this with our armoire, with other pretty glasses and maybe my stash of candlesticks. Perfect for entertaining, right??

Santa Fe Scrapbook

I got back from my Santa Fe honeymoon months ago but I'm still dreaming about the place. Before going I had no idea it was such an old city, with so much history. It's full of museums, wonderful shopping, custom cowboy boots, turquoise jewelry and fabulous art. Oh and the food! I still dream about the food -- there wasn't a single meal I didn't love (especially the caesar salad at Coyote Cafe).

One day when I'm hustling antiques I'll make my way back to Seret & Sons, a huge store with antique rugs stacked to the ceiling and a yard full of ancient artifacts. I wanted to take it all home with me. While I couldn't exactly do that, our souvenirs do include a belt buckle from Nathalie on Canyon Road, a turquoise bangle pour moi at Shiprock on the plaza, and the best pair of vintage Frye boots from Kowboyz.

Besides my all-time favorite artist Georgia O'Keefe (of course she was a Santa Fe-er), I also fell in love with the work of Kathleen Frank, a painter showcased in our hotel lobby. Her vibrant pieces are all painted on a red canvas -- absolutely beautiful. Take a look.

I'm afraid to admit how much time I spend on the Sotheby's website looking for my dream house and imagining what it would be like to live in SF full-time, but until we get back there I can dream (and buy this sticker for my car).

Flipping through an old issue of ELLE Decor today, I was excited all over again to browse through pictures of Fabrizio Rollo's Sao Paulo apartment. I love the way he layers textures, patterns, objects -- everything. An apartment for the eclectic sophisticate.

When I saw the home of Brazilian artist Isabelle Tuchband on The Selby I knew I had to post about it. The photos of her maison are so fun and vibrant, it would seem impossible not to be inspired there.

Black and White and Cool All Over

My bathroom is beyond repair at this point. A mishmash of different towel sets, two random rugs, and ugly fluorescent apartment lighting (you know the kind I'm talking about). We're moving out of our apartment into a house in the next few months and I can't wait to have a clean slate! I love the idea of sticking with a classic color palette -- black and white. You really can't go wrong. I've rounded up some uber-chic WCs in the standby shades.

I almost fell over when I spotted the glorious Charlotte Olympia "Rapunzel" shoes on the Outnet during my daily browse. They are just as fabulous as her signature kitty flat, and I don't think I've ever wanted anything more. Imagine them with a flowy white dress for spring... or really cool skinnies... or even just with a retro-inspired swimsuit (if you dare). And it doesn't help that they're only available in my size! Eeeeek!

I love a good screen. Not only can they be used to stylishly divide a space, they can also bring texture to a bare wall or serve as a chic headboard. The classic Coromandel is my favorite (my perfume is called Coromandel too!) but I also love a boldy colored one or a modern mirrored version.
