It's been a long break, and we're so excited to be back on campus with residence halls and dining centers open and ready to serve you!

The RHA Executive Board just finished a week of training, and they're pumped for the coming semester.

General Assembly Representatives from the Fall 2012 semester - We need your help! Tell us why you love RHA on our Facebook page and (newly redesigned) Twitter especially from now until our first GA meeting (and don't stop there!). You are the best recruitment tool we have because you know what we're all about and why your friends on campus need to know about us! So tell your floor, tell your friends, and tell us online what's so great about RHA. Also, don't forget to come to our first GA meeting January 28 for a Disney/Pixar-themed welcome back to campus!

General Assembly members who couldn't make it to meetings in Fall 2012 - We're excited for another chance to serve you! Come to our first GA on January 28 to do any and all of the following: meet new friends, learn about our organization and our department and have a lot of fun!

Wondering if you were left out of these two options? Every MSU student who lives on campus is already an RHA General Assembly Member - you've already paid the club dues, so why not make it official? All you need to do is attend two consecutive meetings (every Monday at 4pm in PSU 313) to become a GA Representative, complete with voting rights and a fancy placard.

Marshall lives in Wells House. He is studying International Business with minors in Mandarin Chinese and Military Science.

Marshall is a fabulous General Assembly Member. Even though Marshall is just a freshman, he is already very involved with RHA. He volunteered at Hallapalooza, aiding in calculating attendance . Marshall is also enthusiastic about RHA and asks good questions of the Exec and speakers. Great job, Marshall!

MSU Football players and fans enjoy the 2012 RHA BBQ

The Residence Hall Association at Missouri State is excited to kick off the year with you! RHA is a student-led organization that works closely with MSU's department of Residence Life, Housing and Dining Services to make on-campus life awesome, educational and fun.

The organization is led by a group of students called the Executive Board (find their bios in the website's header link). The exec board works with RHA members and advisers to plan campus-wide programs like Green Bike and Hallapalooza games, along with many others. RHA also cooperates with other student organizations like NRHH and SAC to plan programs and lecture series, like BLT (Building Leaders Together) and Mini Golf Night.

RHA's purpose is to provide resources, support, and fun to student leaders (that means you!).

Does this sound like fun to you? We hope so!
Here's how to get involved:

How do I become a member?
Come to meetings! They happen every week - Mondays from 4-6pm in PSU 313. Each meeting has a theme, and information can be found for the next meeting in the left column of the RHA website.
If you attend 2 meetings in a row, you'll have voting rights as a General Assembly member - which means that you can vote on organization plans, budget, initiatives and more.

We are now accepting applications for the 2012-2013 RHA Executive Board. All positions are open, but the nominations for President are closed. All other applications are due to the Hutchens front desk or by e-mail to Angela Strider at AngelaStrider@MissouriState.edu by Monday, April 9 at 5:00 pm. By joining the Executive Board you will gain several new skills and hone skills you already possess through planning and presenting programming, developing leadership skills, and various leadership opportunities throughout the year. Compensation each semester - $1000 off Room & Board Fees, $600 for office hours stipend ($720 for President), and 35 Bare Fare/the equivalent in Declining Dollar.
