I fell in love with the original once it hit the radio waves but Ahmir's cover is amazing.

For some reason this makes me miss Lagoon City. For the first time, I can't wait to get out of the city and head to the peaceful country side. Play tennis, ride the paddle boats, go biking, go on the swings overlooking the beach, go to the town church, visit little shops, all the yachts lined up along the lagoon...

Russyvalenki Foulard Boots

Summer 2010

These are so adorable. Italian made, but inspired by Russian Valenki boots Russyvalenki, these foulard boots are made out of 100% silk and can be worn at different heights. Kind of like "Scarf Boots". These would never be your everyday shoes. However, if you ever stained these sweet things, half its value would go down the drain, haha...sad. But nonetheless, they are pretty and breezy for the summer days!

Which reminds me of a story of how I was at Holt Renfrew one day, and I had picked up a Marc by Marc Jacobs wallet. This lady beside me was clearly eyeing the one that I had picked out. Then she turns to me; trying to be all smooth and whatnot, takes it from me and goes, "Oh, I love this too!!...isn't it pretty?"...and swiftly walked away with it. She was lucky I wasn't some sort of materialistic bitch.

Life happens. I think what we fail to realize is that life is our storybook. Sometimes stories were cut out to end the way they do. People spend too much effort controlling stories, leaving themselves in more bewilderment. Everything is a guessing game because not all people are opened books who wear their emotions on their sleeves. Where to go? What to do next? Concentrating on what you want or what you don't want is tiring. People spend too much time thinking. Thinking is a self doubting process, it's inevitable. Although it's true that you can never neglect to regret. But then again, life happens right? So I guess all you're left to do is press play, and let life be your soundtrack.

You tell me to follow suit, but I don't. I can't. For every green light letting me pass, there are just as many red lights stopping me. I try to look back. But the trails we left, begin to turn into blurred images as our echos become as transparent and thin as the air. It's a dead end. I've caught up to you by now. You're at the edge of the cliff, with trembling lips that mimick the rhythm of your quivering heart. With one last breath, you lean forward and gracefully let the wind wrap its arms around you. You fall as serene as the waters cascading down a waterfall. So beautiful, yet so tragic. The tears rolling down my face quickly turn into droplets of ice. It's cold. The night is dead, and so are you.

Ivanka Trump Jewellery Collection

So basically this is my current obsession. I absolutely adore Ivanka Trump. She gots the beauty and the brains. Her jewellery line is the kind of jewellery you wouldn't be able to buy unless you're a) an heiress b) married to a rich husband or c) a tremendously successful business women. Nonetheless, there's no harm in just admiring. As ya'll know I love anything asian inspired. Top left is from her Pagoda line..hence why it looks like a pagoda...but that is my absolute favourite piece (if only I had pierced ears) and it is selling for a whopping $45,000. I definitely wouldn't mind the top middle as my engagement ring..oh joy :) (and it so happens to be a part of her Bridal Bar line! but it's so expensive that the price isn't even listed on the site). The bottom left just screams bold glamour from her structural Octagonal line (you can never go wrong with the collaboration of gold and diamonds my friends); selling for $18,000. There's so much more I want to say about this collection but I am just left in awe. The jewellery speaks for itself, representing everything classy, elegant and sophisticated.
