Anyone else remember M2M?

I frickin’ loved their song “Mirror Mirror”. Remember when the Disney Channel would show music videos within the last 5 minutes of every half hour or hour? I used to flip to Disney just so I could see if they would show my favorite music videos.

Yes, MTV did exist back then. No, I didn’t care. Disney was cool back then.

M2M even did the theme song for the Pokémon movie. But they weren’t as popular as S Club 7 or B*Witched. I was one of the very few people amongst my classmates who knew this song. I sang it (well, just the chorus) every time I saw this music video during school the next day.

Now, on to the music video. My thought process while watching it:

Singing in front of the mirror like a bunch of weird emo kids.
Ooo I love when they do that moving-back-and-forth thing during the shot of them at the piano and playing the guitar.
How come only one of the girls gets a hot guy?
Why must they practice their music in their attic? Random.
Seriously, did their evil stepmother stick them up there with a mirror, a couch, a guitar and a piano, only bringing food to them one a twice a day?
I bet they have to pee in a bucket.
Whoa, is she about to have sex with the hot guy in the rain.
Definitely just took his shirt off. But why is she standing behind him?
Brunette:“Excuse me while I roll around in the grass because I’m so sad.”
Brunette: “I love it when he caresses my neck while we lay in the grass.”
Blonde: “I have no man so I’m just going to to caress this “sexy” couch.
Hot guy says douchey voice “Yeah, I love rolling around in the grass shirtless. It makes my skin feel smooth.”
What’s up with that random black bird. “Heartbreak will come to all those who touch me!”
I’m pretty sure that bird was also completely confused as to why it was there.

This music video inspired Stephenie Meyer to write the Twilight books.

Yay, JYP Entertainment has a new addition!

Boo if he overhypes them like SM Entertainment overhyped EXO-K and EXO-M.

Though their name isn’t epic and exciting, I don’t expect anything less than epic from this JYP duo. I know nothing about their acting in the show Dream High 2. What I do know is that JB (the blonde one) is 18 and Jr. is only 17. Not exactly unusual for KPop. Anyways…Welcome to KPop!

They made their official debut recently and I’m hoping they don’t let me down. Though that would be surprising since I love almost every group/singer that comes out of JYP Entertainment. The image to the right is from their new campaign as spokespersons for LG’s teen cosmetic line (wait LG has a cosmetic line?? Can I get free makeup with my next cellphone?).

JYP entertainment is made up of mostly Hip Hop and R&B (with a little bit of Pop) genre bands (I can’t think of any that aren’t under those categories). Bur I think this time around, they wanted to try their hand in bringing rock to the JYP scene.

Or that’s just what I’ve gather from watching this music video and listening to the song several times. The song/video mixes the usual “bounce” or headbanging when you “rock out” and the “shake it” dancing when you are listening to…pop…dance music…whatever?

Yeah, I was confused the first time I watched the video. I mean I was totally into the song at first. It was all hard and badass…then the song completely changes up during the chorus. Bouncing/headbanging and shake their butts? What a weird and random combo.

Though, I’d have to say that the second time I listened and watch, it actually wasn’t too bad. They stick to what they are trying to say with the song by adapting the scenery and atmosphere according to each major song change. You might be onto something here, JYP.

Recipe of the Day: Cinnamon Roll Pancakes

What? Where? Can I have some?!

I tested out this recipe the other day and oh my, how amazing they were. Though my second batch this morning kinda were lame, but that wasn’t because of the recipe. My pancake making skills aren’t what they used to me.

Also, I overestimated the amount of “butter” (the delicious vegan kind) I needed to melt more so they weren’t as cinnamon-y as last time.

Overall, I think this recipe is fantastic! The only thing is that besides the fact that there is a cinnamon swirl in them, they didn’t taste like cinnamon rolls. It was more like a churro or a sopapilla. Maybe it’s because I didn’t add the cream cheese glaze.

You try them and let me know how they turn out for you, okay?

Ingredients:

Flour (I used a rice flour mix because I need it to be gluten-free)
Sugar
Baking powder
Salt
1 egg
Milk
Cooking oil

For Cinnamon Swirl/Filling:

1/2 stick of butter, melted {completely}
Brown sugar, packed (I used Agave nectar)
Cinnamon

Pretty in Pink

I’ve been jipped.

Spring didn’t stick around for long this year. It came for a quick visit at the end of February and was gone by March. Soon came the summer showers with some fierce thunderstorms.

When was I suppose to enjoy the fantastic weather? My springtime color flaunting would have been scrapped if I was still in college. When else does it make sense to wear pastel colors?

That’s why I feel jipped. I don’t even wear PINK often enough to complain about not having any spring spirit, but during my Pinterest adventures, I couldn’t help but wish I did.

Today I’m feeling…PINK. I want to dress up in PINK and drink PINK lemonade with my PINK macaroons. Hell, I’ll even go out with PINK hair.
