Mizuho OSI is looking for a&amp;amp;nbsp;Mechanical&amp;amp;nbsp;Assembler with a passion for quality in building our rapidly expanding suite of robotic patient positioning tables and accessories. This position will report to the&amp;amp;nbsp;Assembly Supervisor.SCOPE:Assembles parts and accessories (i.e.: subassemblies) or major products (i.e.: tables and other end items) partially or completely, working at bench or on shop floor, following written instructions.&amp;amp;nbsp; As more experience is gained and proficiency demonstrated the Assembler will be given the opportunity to work on more complex tasks and/or work on other product lines.&amp;amp;nbsp; The Lead Assembler is an assigned position by management and someone who can perform at a level III or higher.&amp;amp;nbsp; This position provides hands-on training and work direction to other Assemblers within the department.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:&amp;amp;nbsp;Understand, support and follow the Corporate Vision, Mission &amp;amp;amp; Values Statements.Support company goals and objectives.Understand, follow and support Mizuho OSI's internal Quality System policies, procedures and work instructions including but not limited to applicable external regulations (21 Code of Federal Regulations Part 820 Quality System Regulations and applicable International Standards). Assemble parts according to blueprints and/or work instructions.Assemble parts together with bolts, screws, rivets, or other fasteners using hand tools and portable powered tools.Operate drill press and hand tools to assist in assembly operations.Build quality into products through consistent attention to detail.May monitor or provide direction to other Assemblers as assigned and depending on level of expertise.Will cross-train to perform other tasks within assembly floor.Train other Assemblers to learn tasks as appropriate and according to level of expertise.Complete product packaging as needed.&amp;amp;nbsp;Other duties as assigned.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform essential functions of the job.&amp;amp;nbsp; Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.The duties of this job require the employee to stand and to use hands to manipulate very small objects and hand tools for long periods of time.&amp;amp;nbsp; The employee is required to walk and occasionally to lift up to 45 pounds during the normal course of work.
