A totally empty house does not sell as well for a few reasons. Most people have a hard time picturing how to lie out an empty room or even decide if their furnishings will fit in each space. An empty home just feels cold, lifeless and deserted! By putting in some vignettes it at least softens up the look, gives some color and style to a home. Here the kitchen appears bare and deserted.

You can see by just adding a few decorative items to the counter and island, it adds instant life to the kitchen! The home all of a sudden appears lived in, simply by adding a scene that shows “getting ready to serve dinner”. We can use your items or you can rent mine on a monthly bases. I will come and charge by the day to set up these scenes through out your house for sale.

Guest Bathroom

The room was very plain looking and needed some color to be welcoming to guests.

The bathroom had no style and the only color was in the golden tile on the floor. I suggested going with royal purple and gold to compliment the tile. We shopped and added the color in the shower curtains, towels and accessories placed stylishly throughout the bathroom. The once not so impressive bathroom is now a bright and stylish place to offer to guests.

Den

This den was very neutral in only whites and browns and did not portray the owner’s colorful personality.

We shopped to add color by simply adding some accessories to add tints and shades of green to compliment the brown and liven up the room. We added color in curtains, pillows, and a throw over the couch, a new print above the couch and plants placed around the room. The out of scale clock above the mantle was moved to the wall and a family heirloom mirror was honorably put in its place to reflect light into the room. The once drab room was brought to life! They love spending time in there now!

Bedroom

This resident had just moved from a home to an apartment and had no idea as to how to place her furniture with this odd configured room. She was planning to buy all new furnishings to make this room come together.

I showed her how to rearrange the room and add lots of color through bedding, curtains and accessories to give it a very stylish and comfortable feel. I assisted her in shopping and making bedding choices. I found curtains that she had in a box, and rearranged and decorated the room. After the room was redecorated, she decided that she no longer needed to buy new furniture after all! She was thrilled with the room! She felt like a princess in her newly redecorated bedroom!

Formal Living Room

The furnishings and accessories are beautiful but their positioning does not give the room a sense of style. The clutter also shows that the formal area is not getting its proper respect. It is the first room that you see upon entering the home so it must be welcoming to all who enter the home.

The living room feels so much more welcoming as you enter the home. The beautiful furnishings are highlighted in a new position. This new redesign would be a great place to cuddle up to a book, with lots of natural window light, or even have great conversations with guests.

Outdoor Dining Room

A great sophisticated outdoor area, but it must be cleaned, straightened up and organized and have some decorative touches added to it to make it more inviting.

Now the outdoor dining room shows style and comfort. The table all set for company makes you want to buy the home to entertain guests. You could even have a nice romantic outdoor dinner.

Kitchen

All surfaces must be cleared and very clean and organized. The kitchen must be cleaned top to bottom and the granite must be shining.

The kitchen has a much cleaner, brighter and open feel. Anyone would love to cook in this kitchen. All clutter and appliances were removed from the kitchen counter to give it a much larger open feel, showing lots of counter space to cook and bake. Anyone would love to cook in this kitchen!

Entryway

Looks clean and orderly, but still not the best first impression as a buyer walks through the front door. The cabinet surface must be cleared and cleaned with minimal decorative items.

Now the entryway looks larger, brighter, clean and orderly. A space anyone would feel comfortable upon entering, leaving a great first impression.

Formal Dining Room

Before the formal dining room is staged it needs to be de-cluttered and have a thorough cleaning. The formal dining area has become a collect all and is not very welcoming upon entering into the room.

All non-dining room items were put in their proper room. Furniture, pictures and accessories were moved around or replaced. All items were cleaned. An intimate seating area was created in the bay window area. The more expensive colorful oil painting was switched to a more prominent view at the end of the table to draw your eye straight into the room. Soft music was played to show off the dining speakers located in the ceiling. The table was redecorated welcoming guests to sit down and eat. A great first impression upon entering the house!

Built-in Office Niche

Too much going on in this office to work! All surfaces must be cleared and polished. The whole area must become clutter free with a few office and decorative items.

All surfaces were cleared, cleaned and polished. The card table, extra desk and computer were stored away. The shelves and desk surface are primarily open but decoratively enhanced. Now the office niche appears as a very nice use of space with plenty of room to work on the computer.
