<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Immediate Need <p>Full Time Job <p>The primary responsibility of the Information Architect (IA) is to meet the product/business objectives by applying research and user-experience best practices to organize information in ways that are meaningful, intuitive, and add product/business value. The IA is critical to the success of each interactive project. Success requires thorough understanding of all aspects of user experience practice, including interactive strategy, usability, persona/scenario development, interaction design and information architecture. <p>The IA must be a team player that is able to collaborate with all internal teams to create and document site architecture via task flow diagrams, site maps, content models, wireframes and related deliverables. The IA reports to the Senior Design Manager. <p>The IA conducts and writes competitive analyses, conducts best practices research, creates detailed site-map and wireframe documents, and works with the Product and Engineering teams to insure project vision is realized. The ability to understand and communicate complex user interfaces and detailed information requirements is essential. Experience conducting usability testing is considered an added value but is not required. <p>The IA uses various research methods to understand customer needs, business requirements, and brand-related design issues, and uses these findings to create documentation that satisfy all three. This person is able to work in a collaborative, iterative and agile fashion by incorporating incremental improvements into architecture throughout project evolution. <p>Duties &amp; Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Ability to assess competitors and compose comprehensive analyses and recommendations</li> <li>Ability to define and articulate business requirements and user goals</li> <li>Create detailed site-maps, wireframes, and related documentation that define solutions to address product/business, user, and functional requirements for the project</li> <li>Approach problem solving from a customer or user-centered point of view</li> <li>Work closely with the Product and Engineering teams to translate IA documentation into completed applications</li></ul> <p>Experience &amp; Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>A strong understanding of the principals of information architecture, usability, interactive media, interaction design, and dynamic graphic user interfaces</li> <li>Expert user of Visio and/or OmniGraffle and Microsoft Office applications.</li> <li>Experience with Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Flash, JavaScript, AJAX and DHTML a plus but not required</li> <li>4+ years of experience in web-based information architecture/interaction design and/or interactive strategy</li> <li>An outstanding portfolio of detailed functional specifications, interaction flows, site-maps, navigation systems, wireframes, and related documentation</li> <li>You must be a team player, detail oriented, comfortable working with highly technical teams, able to accept criticism and move on to the next idea, and able to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment</li> <li>A strong understanding of advertising, marketing and design principles, and how they apply to, and are used on the web</li> <li>Past experience in a studio or agency</li></ul> <p>Education: <ul> <li>Four-year college degree, or equivalent experience</li> <li>College degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Information Design, Industrial Design, or related area is a plus</li></ul> <p>All positions are in or near Minneapolis and St. Paul. The candidate should have some experience with web based applications and e-commerce related sites. Best practice, functional and process knowledge of consumer web e-commerce engines is a critical part of the position. Web experience and understanding in areas such as: customer registration, checkout, shopping cart/basket, product catalog navigation, product detail, and other standard web site attributes are highly desirable. The goal is to help establish secure and stable network infrastructure foundations for projects and upon which clients can confidently build.  <p>Behaviors Desired in all Roles: <ul> <li>Professional consulting skills including communication, time management, and client interaction <li>Researches issues by consulting procedure manuals and systems documentation <li>Knowledgeable of industry best practices and industry standards <li>Knowledgeable of Defense In-Depth practices <li>Appreciates the importance of a project plan and how to work from one <li>Provides input for creative recommendations based on area of responsibility <li>Prepares written materials that are clear, specific, to the point and complete <li>Experienced with MS Office tools: Microsoft Word &amp; Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project <li>Mentors consultants who are less senior <li>Comfortable working with client’s management team <li>Interviews client personnel to gather information as needed <li>Ability to simultaneously handle working on multiple projects <li>Self starter with little need for supervision <li>Enjoys working in a team environment</li></ul> <p><strong>Network/Security Consultant</strong> <ul> <li>BS in Computer Science or equivalent with 8+ years of network infrastructure and security experience <li>Demonstrated ability to perform infrastructure assessment and document/implement recommendations  <li>Experience in designing network infrastructure and sizing <li>Experienced with server configuration, optimization and performance monitoring <li>Network Technology Experience: VPNs, routers, load balancing and clustering, network protocols, LDAP, Active Directory, backup and recovery, data centers, etc. <li>Network Security Experience: Security policy development, firewalls, intrusion detection and incident response, server hardening, vulnerability and risk assessments, penetration testing, patch management, etc. <li>Server Operating Systems Experience: Windows, UNIX, Linux, Novell <li>Application Server Experience: MS SQL Server, Oracle, Exchange, Groupwise, IIS, Project server, Apache, Tomcat, etc. <li>Certifications : MSCE, MCP, CNE, SANS or other security certifications, LPI, Cisco, etc.</li></ul> <p>All positions are in or near Minneapolis and St. Paul.
