The Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis was first established as a diocese by the Vatican in 1850 (originally Minnesota and the Dakotas), and elevated to archdiocese 38 years later. The Technician II is accountable for resolution of cases escalated from the help desk as well as the resolution of high priority, in-depth technical problems and the design and implementation of networks they support and oversee.

Essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to:

1. Performing support tasks, including onsite and remote escalated cases

2. Developing, using and maintaining network documentation

3. Proactively maintaining networks, in accordance with documented standards

4. Participating in internal efforts to continuously improve service delivery efficiency, profitability, technical competence and customer satisfaction

The Information Systems Officer provides strategic leadership and oversight on information technology, leading the efforts to ensure that ServeMinnesota has state-of-the-art data systems that allow it to effectively and efficiently achieve its goals. This position will focus primarily on the data systems to support the Reading Corps, which is a multi-state AmeriCorps reading intervention program that serves 30,000 students annually. Specifically, this position will have primary responsibility for oversight of a contract with TIES to build a data warehouse for Reading Corps, serving as a liaison between the vendor, staff and end users to ensure that an effective and efficient system is built and maintained.

The primary near-term objectives are three fold:

1. Data Warehouse: Serve as the internal Project Manager for the data warehouse project, working closely with the contracted firm that is developing the warehouse (TIES), staff at ServeMinnesota, staff at the ServeMinnesota Action Network, and Master Literacy Coaches to ensure the data warehouse is designed to meet the needs of all individuals and is moving forward according to an established timeline

2. Stakeholder Reports: Extract data from current software systems and / or Excel spreadsheets to prepare summary reports for stakeholders with 2011-12 data

3. Operational Data Systems: Support the ServeMinnesota Action Network, the organization responsible for implementing the Reading Corps, Math Corps, and Opportunity Corps, in the structure and maintenance of their internal operational database (Quickbase)

Additional specific responsibilities of the position include:

• Serve as lead point of contact on the data warehouse project and take charge of all aspects of project management

• Create and implement project plans for data warehouse implementation with timelines and benchmarks, and monitor progress to assure deadlines and standards are met

• Lead a cross-departmental task force team to continue to understand the needs of the organization at all levels, and ensure those needs are being fulfilled in the design of the data warehouse and data management systems/reports

• Create and maintain a database map to provide a clear picture of the flow of information within the system, this will be of particular importance as the organization transitions from having three disparate databases to having one data warehouse

• Develop documentation and/or user guides for processes related to the data warehouse

• Develop training materials for all users of the data warehouse, and work collaboratively with staff to develop a training plan for all users

• Continually build and refine the organization's understanding of its data needs and opportunities, and work collaboratively with other members of the organization to develop strategies to continue to use data to advance the efficiencies and impact of the organization

• Lead the efforts to develop data quality assurance systems and provide ongoing oversight to the implementation of the system to ensure data is accurate and complete within the data warehouse

• Work collaboratively with the ServeMinnesota Action Network to support any additional database needs, as well as additional database needs at ServeMinnesota

• Managing distribution of reports to a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders, as well as creating ad hoc reports within the data warehouse

Experience:

• Solid foundation and experience in project management and information technology; in particular experience in managing software rollouts

• 3-5 years experience using data warehouses and relational databases, and managing their implementation

• Excellent oral and written communication skills, includes ability to write clear training manuals and documentation, ability to listen to understand individual and collective needs within the organization and also communicate the organization's and stakeholders' needs to ultimately serve as a link between the organization and the software vendor

POSITION PURPOSE:

The position of Unix Systems Administrator in the department of Infrastructure Systems & Services for Information Technology Services (ITS) is an important position that supports critical components of the enterprise computing structure of Hamline University. The primary responsibility is to provide Unix (Solaris) and Linux (Oracle Enterprise Linux/Redhat Linux/SUSE Enterprise Linux) Systems Administration to the university's Unix/Linux environment by performing all functions that require 'root' level access on the Unix/Linux servers to include networking and storage allocation. • Develop, implement & maintain Cisco Switches, Cisco Telephony, Microsoft Systems & Applications (ie. Exchange 2007, Office Communication Server 2007 R2, SQL 2005, Microsoft Hyper-V) , security, and network configurations.
• Deploy and maintain applications using Citrix presentation Server.

• Identify, research, and resolve server and network performance issues.
• Create and maintain infrastructure documentation.
• Maintain healthy Information Systems infrastructure by performing regularly scheduled maintenance of systems and equipment.
• Implement, monitor and maintain network security architecture including firewalls, routers, switches, and VPN.
• Monitor various systems performance such as: Hyper V, HP & Lefthand SAN’s, Exchange 2007, WebSense Web Filter, Windows 2003 & 2008 R2 based servers, Vipre Anti-virus, and as assigned.
• Maintain current knowledge of computer technology, technical manuals and brochures to suggest new types of equipment or operational methods.
• Maintain the confidentiality of IT systems, their applications and employees.
• Provide end-user desktop support and 1^st level help-desk support on a 24/7 on-call rotating schedule.
• Develop and deploy upgrades, patches, updates, applications and Operating systems remotely to desktop workstations and servers.
• Support an enterprise environment consisting of 250 workstations & 40 Servers.

Job Summary:

The EMR Application Specialist plays a key role in the maintenance and enhancement of a Network deployed General Electric Centricity Electronic Medical Record (EMR).

The Network is comprised of three organizations - Indian Health Board, Neighborhood HealthSource, and West Side Community Health Services.

The EMR Application Specialist provides technical expertise and ongoing training and support for staff using the EMR.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Content development

a. Help develop needed clinical content as directed by the EMR Project Manager through the use of technical tools such as Visual Form Editor and CCC text file editor.

2. Training

a. Assist in developing training materials.

b. Perform trainings in groups and with individuals, e.g. new hires.

c. Perform trainings to improve our efficiency with the EMR.

3. Support/Help desk

a. Work with the NetGain help desk and field support questions from staff. When needed a case will be filed with GE support and the specialist will be responsible to follow through to an adequate resolution of the problem.

b. Work with the IS department of each Health Center to troubleshoot technical issues that arise.

4. Data quality monitoring

a. Work as a member of the team to assure ongoing data integrity of the EMR through maintenance of scheduled reports and data clean-up as needed.

5. Interface management

a. Work as a member of the team to assure management of the LinkLogic interfaces, in tandem with the IS department and other clinical departments, such as lab.

b. Troubleshoot error resolution issues

c. Maintenance of cross-reference file.

6. Reporting

a. Work as a member of the team to monitor and improve clinical outcomes.

b. Understand on a basic level the use of Crystal reports to provide custom reports to key clinical leaders in support of clinical programs, grants, and other reporting needs - such as P4P and managed care quality reports.

c. Understand on a basic level the use of Meridios to provide custom reports to key clinical leaders in support of clinical programs, grants, and other reporting needs - such as P4P and managed care quality reports.

Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in computer sciences or related field.

Excellent computer skills and strong communication skills.

Experience with data reporting tools.

Experience and skills in training and teaching others.

EMR implementation or maintenance experience preferred.

Experience in quality improvement or information systems in a community health center preferred.
