Nokia Firmware Hack

you all came to know now that the newest firmwares are preventing our phones to be hacked.

At least, it has with my Nokia N73, and I've heard also with Nokia N93,E51...

After the firmware update, it wasn't possible to establish comunication between TRK application as in Installing Unsigned Application using BiNPDA Secman and famous python script or in any other method!!

Now, all this is possible!

Its all working with S60v3 phones

Here is the complete procedure!!

First, you need to install any file browser, for example xplorer or Y borwser.

If you don't have xplore download here :

Start your file browser. Go to C:

Try to access c:\sys

It should fail because don't have permissions. Don't close the browser.

Start HelloCarbide. When you install the application just open it, open Menu1 and answer Yes when prompted (Yes/No) the app will exit.

You're phone has all the caps right now. But there is one problem, you can't open any new applications. So I suggest that you open xplore before running the application and downloading the installserver.exe from this forum before you run this application.

So:

1. Install the hellocabride app.

2. Copy installserver.exe to your phone.

3. Run X-PLore.

4. Switch to the menu and run the hellocabride.

5. Press options and chose Menu1.

6. Answer Yes (it will be the right soft key).

7. The application will close.

8. Navigate to X-Plore

9. Now copy the installserver.exe to c:\sys\bin (remember to set x-plore to see hidden and system folders/files )

Reboot your mobile!!!

you're done, you can install any unsigned application even with full capabilities from now on BiNPDA Platform Security. You can also turn off/on caps of the Symbian Operating system in the future.

Note: Edit in some phones, especially PRE-FP1 phones such as

3250,5500,6290,E50,E60,E61,E61i,E62,E65,E70,N71,N73,N75,N77,N80,N91,N92,N93,N93i

you will also have to put file - "CProfDriver_SISX.ldd" along with installserver.exe to C:\sys\bin to make this hack work.

If you face problems like nokia 6600 gallery is not opening, camera is not working, Bluetooth device of mobile is not working,mobile is operating much slowly, u’r celll is infested by viruses like commwarior (we’ve an alternate solution for this )..and many other problems then first RESET your phone so that it’ll get theoriginal factory settings. First format by secret codes here and then if the codes failed go for full hard formatting via keys (step 3). Resetting just solves many problems and if the problem still persists go for other alternatives found in our ‘PROBLEM SOLVER’.

RESETTING PHONE BY NOKIA SECRET CODES (steps 1 and 2)

1st step :
SOFT RESETTING NOKIA 6600 (for all s60 mobiles)
A Soft-reset is the process of resetting all the settings of the phone to the factory default! No applications are deleted.
Take backups of ur phone books,calender and others, then simply enter the code
*#7780#
It will ask for “Restore all phone settings-phone’ll restart….”
Then it asks for security code enter ur security code whose default value is 12345 then the phone is resetted after restart.The phone will be restored to the time when you purchased the phone.Default apps are not deleted.
2nd step :
HARD RESETTING BY CODE
A Hard-reset is like formatting a memory disk. It formats the phone memory. Everything that has been installed other than default apps at d time of purchase are deleted.The phone’s setting will be restored to the time when you purchased the phone.Default apps are not deleted.
Just enter the code-
*#7370#
Then it asks for security code enter ur security code whose deafault value is 12345 ….then proceed as in previous step…..

NOTE:
The battery must be full or the charger has to be connected to the phone so that it does not run out of power and make the phone unusable.
Take backup of the contacts and other important data in MMC .
FLASHING
3rd step :
’FLASHING 6600′ : ANOTHER METHOD FOR HARD FULL FORMATTING
If any of the above methods failed to make your phone formatted then try this step-mainly try this step if the problems are following-blank screen phone unable to boot, phone is only able to boot-up to Nokia screen ,unable to uninstall any installed software, unable to delete certain files on C drive(phone memory).This step is known as flashing of phone. Always do this step at last (after 1st 2 steps are over and u are not successfull) as these problems might be solved by resetting using codes.
To format the (restore factory settings) phone here is a way .
1. Make sure you phone is fully charged. (At minimum 3/4 of bettery should be left)
2. Backup your contacts list and personal files to MMC memory card (if possible).
3. Switch-off your 6600 phone.
4. Press and hold these three keys together
-Green dial key,-Star key (*)-Three key (3)
then press the power on/off to swtich on the 6600 phone.
Do not let go the three keys until you see the “formatting” screen displayed
5. After a few minutes, the format will be complete. Your 6600 will now be at its original factory settings (It will reach the same state as that in when you purchased it). All inbuilt applications provided by nokia will not be deleted)

After Hacking

–>Open X-plore
–>Goto “Z:\Private\10202be9\101F8809.txt”
–>Copy the file to “C:\Private\10202be9\101F8809.txt”
–>Edit the file “101F8809.txt”
–>At the end of the file, u will find the line

* NOTE: Please do a device backup using the Nokia PC Suite prior to testing the "HIDE" features. In some rare instances when the contacts exceed +/- 300 the application may not restore the contacts properly. Killer Mobile Software is not responsible for lost data as a result of application use.

* NOT 2: All commands are in ALL Upper Case. The Commands are CASE SENSITIVE and must be sent exactly as noted below. No other text should be included in the SMS command. You can send SMS Commands from any remote number you wish (it does NOT have to be a secondary number listed in the application)

* NOTE 3: All SMS commands must be followed with your password, which is by default 5555. In the examples below the default password is referenced, if you changed your password please use this in place of "5555"

Went Live Today For Selected S60 Devices
just like we expected, BBC's on-demand TV service also known as BBC iPlayer which lets you download a wide range of BBC television programmes transmitted in the past seven days is finally available for the selected Nokia S60 phones.
From today, you'll be able to run the BBC's iPlayer on your mobile phone and to catch-up, stream and download your favourite BBC programmes on demand for up to seven days after broadcast.
The S60 version of the BBC iPlayer allows UK audiences to download and stream BBC TV programming but only over the Wi-Fi connection for now although it was promised that player will be 3G and the Wi-Fi compatible!

Anyway, S60 version of the iPlayer is released as the Web Runtime (WRT) Unfortunately and soon or later they will release it as native Symbian application which will be available for wall 2nd and 3rd edition S60 phones, not only for very few devices that support Web Runtime (WRT)at the moment.
So far its confirmed as compatible with the FP2 phones like Nokia N78 and Nokia N96 of course, but it also works on the WRT extended FP1 phones like the Nokia N95!
Its work on N95 N82 fw 21 and fw 30
