Expansys USA is now selling unlocked Samsung Galaxy A3 and A5

Expansys USA has become the first US retailer to offer both the Samsung Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5 smartphones, both in unlocked, contract-free versions. Both Android KitKat smartphones support dual SIMs and are available only in white. Expansys USA is selling the Galaxy A3 for $329.99. The smartphone has a 4.5-inch screen, a 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 410 processor, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of onboard storage, along with a 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front facing camera. The Galaxy A5 is priced at $409.99 and has a 5-inch screen and the same processor as the A3, but increases the RAM to 2GB and the storage to 16GB. There's also a 13MP rear camera but the same 5MP front facing camera.

Samsung launches Galaxy A5 and A3 in India, introduced the Galaxy E5 and E7

At a media event in Mumbai, Samsung announced a total of four new devices for customers India: The Galaxy A3, A5 Galaxy, Galaxy E5 and E7 Galaxy. Metal chassis Galaxy A3 and A5 are already available in some countries, but this is the first time we heard about the Galaxy E5 and E7 Galaxy.

Better hardware comes at a price, with the Galaxy A5 is set to retail for Rs. 25,500 ($ 402). Both Galaxy A3 and A5 Galaxy will be offered in a variety of colors that include white pearl, midnight black, platinum silver, light blue, light pink, and champagne gold.

E5 galaxy similar to the Galaxy A3 in terms of hardware specs. There are some differences, however. With a 5-inch 720p screen, this device was larger, and there is a dual-SIM connectivity offered as well. To explain the larger display, the battery is a 2400 mAh variant. Prices were slightly lower at Rs. 19,300 ($ 304), which may be due to the fact that the matter is not metal like the A3 and A5 Galaxy Galaxy.

Like the Galaxy E5, E7 Galaxy Galaxy similar hardware with the A5, and offers a 5.5-inch 720p display along with a 2,950 mAh battery. In terms of software, the four devices come with Android 4.4 KitKat with a side portion of TouchWiz. One area of differentiation (besides design) between the Galaxy Galaxy series A and series E is in terms of connectivity: Galaxy A3 and A5 offer LTE connectivity, while the E5 and E7 only have 3G connectivity.

Samsung officially presents the Galaxy J1, the first J series smartphones

After the Galaxy series which was introduced last year, Samsung started in 2015 with two other new family of Android smartphones: Series E (announced earlier this month), and, now, series A. The first member of both the Galaxy J1 (already seen in some images leaked ).

On this day, the Galaxy J1 - SM-J100H model number - Samsung Malaysia presented on the website, so we assume it will be released in the region. Previously, we reported that J1 will be powered by a quad-core 64-bit processor Marvell, but this contradicts the official specs sheet, a list of dual-core processor 1.2 GHz instead of make unknown.

J1 is the entry-level smartphone with a 4.3-inch WVGA (480 x 800) display, dual SIM capabilities, and Android 4.4 KitKat on board. It has a 5 MP camera with LED flash on the back, and a 2 MP snapper on the front (this one assisted by Palm selfie function that detects motion and lets you take selfies using hand gestures).

The new Galaxy offers 512 MB of RAM, 4 GB of internal memory, microSD card support, and a 1850 mAh removable battery that should be able to provide up to 10 hours of talk time. Ultra Power Saving mode is also available. Weighing 122 grams and measuring 129 x 68.2 x 8.9 mm, Galaxy J1 comes in three color versions: blue, black, and white.

The lack of a press release (or something like that) on the Galaxy J1 may indicate that Samsung does not intend to launch the handset too much market - although we know that, apart from Malaysia, to be released in Russia. We assume we will know more about this soon.

ZTE Mimosa X, The First Tegra-powered Smartphone and Icera Modem Technology

ZTE is preparing to release a smartphone with dual-core processors this year. Android-based handset, named Mimosa X will use mobile processors NVIDIA Tegra 2 and NVIDIA Icera 450 HSPA modem.

ZTE Mimosa X will carry Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and equipped with capacitive touch screen TFT 960 x 540 pixels.

LG Optimus Vu, thinnest LTE TabletPhone from LG
