Well I had planned to use Audioblog.com but they don't (yet) have the ability to podcast videos. So I searched around and found the FreeVlog site....you can follow the link from the button on the right under links. This site is excellent!

Check back for a repost of the videos.

How to Make an Intro Video

Ok so how did I make my Intro Video? First, you need software for editing together different types of media like images, video, and audio. I'm using Camtasia Studio because this is the program I use to record my classes, but much more on this later (there will be a future MobileEDU Session on this topic).

Music: You need to find some music that you like or better yet fits your Vlog topic well.
Titles: I just put my iPod on my scanner and scanned it in. I think I got pretty lucky here. Then I added some text in PaintShop (but just about any program will work).
Video: I took some quick shots of my equipment, and me, with a digital camera using movie feature.

Then I put it all together to give me about a 30 second Intro Video. It only took about an hour or so.

Teachers Improving Learning with Technology

Great blog by Danny Maas including vlogs as well http://tilttv.blogspot.com/

Great Education Site

Great educational vLogging link. http://wearethemedia.com/2005/10/25/videoblogging-in-education/

Ahh the first post

OK so I'm just starting to figure things out...wasn't sure where or how to begin. I knew that I wanted to be able to post pictures and videos in blog format with the ability to podcast and publish my video. I did a few searches and figured out that Eric Rice's (www.ericrice.com) Audioblog.com site seemed to be really easy to get started with.

Here was my first leason....you need to start a Blog first then use Audioblog to add video and audio content. So I backed up and went over to blogger.com. Starting an account is free.

I have to say it only took about 15 minutes to get this first post up.

Now I'll head back to Audioblog.com to post a video....stay tuned.
