It has been a good week and a lot has been accomplished. The internal plastering has been completed as well as the relevant plumbing and the water pressure is on to the installed pipe work. The roof is completed.

The tiled roof is been fitted one side down one to go.

Great progress has been made in the last couple of days. We should have the roof on by the end of the day on Friday. Electrician was on site today and all the chasing work has been done. Plumber should be on site tomorrow.

Progress was made again today and by tomorrow we hope to finish the block work and be ready for the roof trusses. Should be ready for electricians and plumbers to do all the chasing by Tuesday.

In the last three days we have made some good progress on site. We hope to be ready for the roof by Friday. We are thankful for some good weather which has allowed us to get this far.

We achieved the goal of getting the floor slab thrown by the 13-12-2011. We did continue with the layout of the walls on the 14-12-2012. Some blocks were put in place on the 14th but the weather was not in our favour and no further work was done. We look forward to the New Year and the completion of the house.

The weather held today and tomorrow looks good so we should get the slab thrown tomorrow and then the rest of the build will wait for the New Year.

The team worked hard today to get all the work done and be ready. Well done.

After a bumpy start to the day a lot was done. Foundation fill is almost done if all goes well tomorrow and the rain holds off we may be able to throw the slab on Friday morning.

We are making progress but the rain is making it difficult. We also are waiting on a decision as far as the fill goes. The ground on site is not good we may have to take a another route.

We have made some progress in the past day and have the foundation rim almost complete if the weather holds tomorrow this work should be done by the end of the day.

We finally go the foundations thrown. The weather did not work with us and we had to pour in the rain. The concrete is hard and we hope to start laying bricks tomorrow.

We are making progress but rain although it is needed is setting us back a day or two. Hope to complete the digging tomorrow and then throw concrete on Friday morning.

The foundation are completed and we now wait for the building inspector to have a look and give the go ahead to pour the concrete.

The container is now in place ready to store materials. If all goes as planned we should be on site tomorrow marking out the foundations.

The soil test have been done and all looks in order. We hope to move on site next week and start leveling the site and laying out the foundations.

In a number of weeks time there should be a brand new home standing in this space, giving hope dignity and a better future to another family.

It has been a while since I have last posted as things have been a bit quiet on this end. So the reason for the post is that we are looking at an exciting project next year in partnership with eMi. We hope to assist a church with a master plan for the development of there site. Please click the link below for more details. A great new classroom for some of the learners.

The kids just love Amanda, the heartbeat behind the school and the work of Hearts4Standerton.

Amamda, Bongi Sibeko and two of the ladies that work in the engine room of the school, the kitchen.

The Pre-School Classrooms. These need to be upgraded. I am not sure what MMM role will be here but they are the kind of people that you want to work with as they are getting things done and making a huge difference in their community.

COSMOS Private Academy

Had a great visit at the COSMOS Private Academy. A team of awesome people doing a great job with a great vision and a great school.

There facilities although old are well looked after and every spare space is used. They are looking to expand and MMMSAT may be able to assit is some way as they look to the plans for the future.

Had a great visit with some of the parents as well as the administrator of the school on Friday evening.

The school, staff, and parents have accomplished a great deal with limited resources and are providing a quality education for children from various backgrounds.

EMBO Educare Official Opening

Today I attended the opening of a creche in EMBO KZN. MMM was involved in a small way with "The Unlimited" company who through their social concern arm "the unlimited child" saw the dream become a reality.

MMM's role in the project was getting the right people involved at the right time to see a very successful outcome. John Benn and some of the members of his church, Westville Baptist were instrumental in the successful completion of the project. The donated time, money, and experience to see the creche completed.

I was asked to cut the ribbon. A first for me. Had to do it twice as the first time the photographers were not ready.
