mobile phone has moved from simply being a tool used to make calls and
sending texts to become a multifunctional multimedia device. With the
technologies of the mobile handsets being at various stages of their
lifecycle, they can offer new possibilities while there also can be
limitations which might not only be of a technical nature, but could
also be due to operator restrictions or cultural contexts.</p>
<p>Through
sharing her insight into the experimental and explorative work that new
media artists create using current mobile phone technologies, Feren
Calderwood will discuss what can be learnt from the choice of
technologies used and how these creative works can be adapted to become
functional solutions that translate into business products or can be
used for marketing, entertainment and dynamic social networking<span style="font-size: 0.8em;">.</span></p>

We had a great Mobile TUESDAY event this month. Following our summer break, attendance was at record levels. The audience was treated to two strong presentations by Refik Çağlayan and İlker Yenice on Mobile Content and New Approaches. We had a great Mobile TUESDAY event this month. Following our summer break, attendance was at record levels.
