Back in January 2008 MobileMonday Madrid organized a session about Mobile Advertising. At that time the participation success was overwhelming and the feedback very positive. Since then all the community has been asking us to repeat the experience.

For this occasion, we have decided to widen the scope of the event and to treat not only the mobile advertising but the trend (incipient in some markets and a settled reality in some others) of considering these devices as another channel worth to be taken into account in the media planning, the customer relationship management, the communication, the product and service provision, etc. This way, we consider a holistic approximation to the mobile as a fundamental element of the “new” marketing.

Our speakers are:

Salvador Carrillo, President, MMA Spain
Founder and CEO of Mobile Dreams Factory, one of the leading worldwide mobile marketing and advertising agencies with offices in Madrid and New York. Since its inception, Mobile Dreams has been involved in the mobile area with innovative campaigns for brands (Mini/BMW, Diesel, Diageo, Coca-Cola, La Caixa, Sony, Microsoft, etc) and mobile marketing technology for operators (Vodafone, Verizon, O2, Orange). Mobile Dreams has been awarded with many different international awards such as MMA Awards, Cannes Lions, Eurobest, El Sol, etc.
In March of 2008 he was elected President of the Mobile Marketing Association in Spain and Member&Director at Large at MMA Europe. He is also mobile marketing professor at the IE Business School.
In April Carrillo was recognized for Mobithinking (the mobile Internet blog leader) as one the Top Ten worldwide Mobile Marketers.

Ken Hart, Senior Director Business Development, Yahoo Mobile Europe
As Senior Director of Business Development, Ken Hart is responsible for driving distribution partnerships with European media and telecoms companies. Prior to Yahoo!, Ken was VP for New Business at Openwave, responsible for driving multi million pound sales in Northern Europe. Previous roles include VP for Global Sales at Webraska, and Head of Strategic Sales at Netscape in Paris, France. Ken has over 14 years experience in the mobile industry.

Hart has been based between London, England and Madrid, Spain for the past ten years. Prior to this he spent ten years living in Paris, France. A native of New York, Ken is a graduate of Tufts University near Boston.

Agustín Calvo, CEO, Movidream
42 years old, Telecoms Engineer since 1990. In 2001 founded MoviDream and previous to this he held executive positions as a Director in Telefónica Móviles, Telefónica Sistemas and Nortel, working 2 years in Latin America and 2 in Germany. Co-founder of MMA Spain and Author of the book “Wake up your business” with over 8.000 units sold.

José Luis López, PM, Telefónica

Ignacio Riesco, CTO, Flash2Flash Digital
33 years old, married and with 2 kids.  Co-founder and CTO of Flash2Flash, currently he is the director of the Technology and Development department as well as of the Online Marketing and Mobile ones. Computing Engineer he has a wide experience since 1992 in the study and development of trends in the use of the network and the mobile phone. The integrator task of the technology inside all the marketing areas has been the foundation of his professional development. Among his specialties we have emphasize the Technologic Creativity focused on generating business.

In these days, being able to reduce costs and take the most out of every cent of a euro of investment is key. Most probably it´s not time for enormous new developments but for having access to new (sales) channels and the boosting of customer loyalty. Thus, the mobile environment is of paramount importance to P&Ls and a good bet for established businesses that want to have a better positioning towards their competitors.

MoMoMa is presenting a new event on Mobile Enterprise Applications on Monday, 2nd of March, pinpointing to some of the most important questions of the topic: interfaces and integration with services and Business Intelligence platforms, service delivery, sales and customer loyalty channels and enabling technologies.

We´ll hear about the BONDI initiative which is looking to standardize interfaces which enable web applications to access features on the mobile device, 3G video CRM, mobile usability for ERPs, PoC and Location Based Services.

Tim Haysom, CMO, OMTP
Tim Haysom is the CMO of OMTP, having moved from Orange in 2007, where he served as Industry Relations Manager. Tim has spent over 16 years in the mobile telecoms industry, working first on the standardization of the GSM system, through the launch of the Orange network and moving through innovation and strategy roles. Tim has extensive knowledge in the areas of technology evaluation, business case development, due diligence and the overall environment of the global mobile telecoms, media and internet industry. He participates as a speaker at industry conferences and is a member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology. Tim holds a B.Eng. degree in Electronics from the University of Southampton.

Adolfo Martín, Sales Director, Cystelcom
Adolfo is currently managing the Sales department of Cystelcom Sistemas. Telecommunication Engineer and Executive MBA, he has developed his career in the telecommunication industry, recently in the 3G mobile market providing solutions for telcos and big enterprises such us video contact center, mobile video banking, video assistance for the elderly, or mobile marketing, and for more than 15 years in the Customer Relationship Management solution provider market, supplying customized solutions for customer care departments in several industrial leader companies, first on the technical side and afterwards in the sales department.

Juan Mateu, CEO, Solaiemes
Juan Mateu holds a MSc in Telecom Engineering and MSc in Economy. Juan, currently Solaiemes co-Founder and CEO (from 2007) have developed his career at Motorola Networks (with long term assignments in UK, Germany and China) and Motorola Mobile Devices with different technical and business roles, DMR (aka Everis), ICEX and Colortex.

Javier Martín Payen, International Alliances Director, Navento
Telecommunications Engineer (UPM) and Executive MBA (Instituto de Empresa).
A more than 20 years professional, involved in big technical national and international projects and start-up teams and companies. WorldCom European Project Team member, Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs Technical Director for international network and infrastructure deployment and Red.es Programme Coordinator, among others.
He is currently the International and Alliances responsible in Navento.

MobileMonday and MVNO’s started in Spain around the same time in 2006, so we thought it’s about time that we got together! Philip has spent more than four years working for Simon-Kucher and, as a consultant and project manager, has done projects for leading companies both nationally and internationally. Philip has an MBA from Instituto de Empresa Business School in Madrid, Previously, he graduated in economics at WHU Vallendar, Germany. Philip is the author of several articles on price management and is a frequent speaker at conferences and seminars.

Maini Spenger, Co-Founder & CEO, MásMóvil

Law Degree - Graz / Austria and Trieste / Italy, Maini has an MBA at the Instituto de Empresa (IE) and the Italian business school SDA Bocconi (Milan). With a wide international experience in Austria, Germany, Italy and Spain, worked for five years as a consultant at McKinsey, where he served as Engagement Manager and was a member of the European Committee of Experts on Telephony.

Sergio Martínez-Cava Camacho, Innovation CTO and Head of Strategy & Marketing at Bankinter Móvil

Born in Spain, Industrial Engineer from the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and holds a MBA from the Instituto de Empresa. He began his career with Telefonica Moviles, as the technical officer of the interconnection and roaming agreements at the international level and delegate of Telefonica in the GSM Association. In 2005 he joined the department of mobile banking - in business development and marketing with the aim of boosting the financial business through this channel. In 2006 became part of Bankinter, as director of innovation projects. Since December 2007 is responsible for strategy and marketing of Bankinter and CTO Mobile Area Innovation Bank.

Jochen Doppelhammer, CEO of KPN (Simyo) in Spain

Jochen is responsible for the business of the Dutch operator in the Spanish market. Bachelor’s degree in business administration and computer science from the University of Passau, Germany, has over twelve years of experience in management and development in in mobile, Internet and Media. Doppelhammer specializes in business development, marketing, strategy and product management. Previously he was at ‘T-Mobile International’ as head of European strategy and business segment marketing; ‘Institut Futur’ (now ‘The Node Company’); and ‘DiamondCluster International’ (now integrated into ‘Oliver Wyman’).

For the opening of the 2008-2009 season, the next MobileMobile Madrid in IE Business School, on September 29th, will address the topic of Mobile Internet Platforms with three major players: Google, Yahoo! and Microsoft to know their plans for the mobile business.

José Antonio Martínez Aguilar (Director of the Telecom and Media Division at Google), Alex Romero (Director for Strategic Partnerships for Portugal, Spain and France at Yahoo Europe) and Iván Lozano (Mobile Manager at Microsoft Spain) will share with us their view about the industry.

In addition, we´ll also have three Spanish start-ups that will present their elevator-pitch and will get feedback in return from the GYM.

Enrique Dans, Professor of Information Systems and Techologies at IE Business School

He holds a Ph.D. in Management from UCLA, an MBA from Instituto de Empresa, a B.Sc. from Universidade de Santiago de Compostela, and post-doctoral studies at Harvard Business School. His research interests include the effects of technology at three different levels of analysis: people, organizations, and industries. Professor Dans keeps a permanent presence in Spanish and international media, and is also an extremely prolific blogger: his blog, enriquedans.com, started in February 2003, is considered a very influential reference in today’s Spanish technology panorama.
Alex Romero, Director for Strategic Partnerships for Portugal, Spain and France at Yahoo Europe

Alejandro has over 12 years of experience in the telecoms industry. Alejandro joined early this year Yahoo! Europe as Director for Strategic Partnerships for Portugal, Spain and France. Alejandro joins Yahoo! from Vodafone where he held several positions in Vodafone Spain; most recently as Head of Mobile Internet. He has also worked for Vodafone Group in the UK and Germany as part of the Vodafone Global organisation where he played a major role in driving Vodafone’s global mobile Internet strategy across Europe and Asia. Prior to this, Alejandro worked as a senior consultant for Alcatel Telecom Software & Services in Spain & South America. Alejandro Romero has an MSc in Industrial Engineering from the UMA, Spain, a MBA, with an Economics major from Henley Management College (UK), and different management courses by IMD, and INSEAD.

Iván Lozano, Mobile Manager at Microsoft Spain

With 9 years of experience in the mobile market area, Ivan has always been involved in mobile internet and services. His experience, allows him to have a global vision from the operator side and the service provider’s. Ivan has worked for different worldwide leading companies in the mobile industry, including Alcatel, Fujitsu and Telefónica, holding Product and Project Manager positions. Currently, Ivan Lozano is Mobile Manager for the On-Line division of Microsoft Ibérica ,and his main objective is to mobilize the company´s Internet services such as Windows Live Messenger, Windows Live Hotmail, MSN Mobile Portal, etc.

Jose Antonio Martinez Aguilar, Director of the Telecom and Media Division at Google

Since 2006, José Antonio leads the growth of Google in those industries in Spain. He started his professional career at Soluziona and after this joined the newly born Airtel in 1995 in several positions of responsibility. He was later appointed as Director of the Internet Business Unit at Airtel, before he founded mCentric in 2000 where worked as VP for Sales and Marketing leading the international expansion in Europe, LatAm and Africa. José Antonio holds a MSc in Telecom Engineering from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and a MBA from Instituto de Empresa Business School.

Sarah Keefe, VP Marketing, Bango
A seasoned Marketing executive with over 20 years experience in the hi-tech sector, Sarah oversees all aspects of Bango’s marketing, with particular emphasis on media and customer relations.

Sarah has worked in public relations, in market research and then as Marketing Manager at IXI Limited where she oversaw marketing from the start-up stage, to its position as a world leader in its sector and through to sale of the business to SCO Inc. While at SCO, her expertise was focused on product marketing and extended into web marketing in the early years of the Internet . While at Creature Labs, Sarah developed web marketing for the community of 1 million plus games users world-wide. Prior to joining Bango, Sarah was Marketing Manager at Amino Communications.

Patrick Dost, Director General, Nedstat España
Patrick was appointed to this position on November 5, 2007. Before joining Nedstat, he was in Jet Multimedia España (formerly known as Mediafusión) since 2002, where he was the Premium Sales Director. Prior to Jet Multimedia, Patrick worked as Telemarketing and Database Director for Cafe Bar Holland B.V. in the Netherlands. Patrick has a degree in Business Administration from the Higher European Studies of The Hague.

Sixto Arias, managing director of Mobext (Havas Digital Mobile Marketing Division)
Mobext (www.mobext.mobi) was launched a year and a half ago and currently is the larger mobile marketing agency in the world with presence in eight countries. Founder of Mobile Marketing Association Spanish Chapter (www.mmaglobal.com) and cofounder of Movilisto. Besides this, Sixto teaches mobile marketing at Universidad Complutense de Madrid and is one of the lecturers at Thinking Heads agency.

Jaime Lanchares, CEO of Unkasoft.
Jaime has 10 years of experience in the Industry leading different projects in EU, USA, ASIA and AFRICA.
Jaime holds multiple degrees: Computer Science from Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca, Economy from Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, Executive Education from Instituto de Eempresa, EU FP7 Independent Expert. He won the NETI award in 2005, thanks to the business plan for a mobile games company.

Luis Esteban is Managing Director at Arvato Mobile where he is in charge of Spain and Portugal activities. Luis is working in the Internet industry since 1994 and founded companies like BrandMedia (an interactive agency), DoubleClick (a joint venture with Telefonica) and Digital Mood (an incubator company). In the Mobile industry, Luis worked at Netsize and _Hands on Mobile to finally join Bertelsmann for leading Arvato Mobile in 2006. Luis holds a Masters degree in Marketing from IEDE Business School.

Ricardo Mena Muñoz (September, 1974) is Marketing Director at Digital Jokers and Mayhem Studio.
In the past, Ricardo worked as Content Manager in Lycos working from its foundation, as Project Manager in Design Factory and he has been in charge of non-conventional media and community and social networks management in www.soytu.es. Ricardo has authored several articles for Spanish and international newspapers and entertainment magazines.
