Sierra-Cascade Nursery, Inc. was founded in 1977, with headquarters located in rural Susanville, California and is engaged primarily in growing high-elevation strawberry plants which are sold to fruit growers in central and southern California.  Sierra-Cascade grows the plants, then sells them to fruit growers once they reach a certain size and before they flower. They need to track the plants all the way through the process from harvest to warehouse, to cutting and shipping. • New Feature: For web layouts, you can now specify a minimum size for resizable forms. The resizing of the layout will not go smaller than this amount if set. This will allow your screen layouts to look acceptable regardless of the browser size.
• Enhancement: Dynamic data definitions will automatically create a description tailored to the configuration.
• Enhancement: The simulator files for the Test Site have been updated to a more modern look. A new simulation file for Generic Desktop Browser has been added.
• New Feature: Zoom has been introduced into the Test Site so it will make it easier to test on devices where the simulation file produces a large screen.

Based in Canada, Phoenix Recycling specializes in document destruction, records storage, and commercial and industrial recycling. Their customers include over 1400 businesses and they are a four time winner of the Consumers’ Choice Award for business excellence in paper shredding from 2007-2010.

Prior to implementing the MobileFrame solution, their drivers were collecting data about their assigned pickups on paper. This resulted in roughly 6,000 paper forms a month landing on the desks of the office staff and that data had to then be manually entered into their CRM system. T.D. Williamson wanted a mobile application platform that would not require them to become an expert Windows Mobile development shop. The company’s first priority was a mobile asset tracking application using RFID technology. TDW  has assets located in 10 locations around the world, so selecting a software provider that could scale in size was very important. Because these devices are very expensive, they needed to have real-time, accurate data about where the devices are at all times.  The devices are installed at oil wells and pipelines, so assigning a job site to each one was the first step in the project. As the devices come back in from the field they inspect each one for quality control purposes, so they also needed an inspection app.
