Why does ROM Manager ask for account permissions?
Web Connect only needs to access your Google account to connect it to your google account. It can't access any private data or passwords.

HTC Users: Flash recovery not working? Try fastbooting a recovery on.
Droid X/2/Pro Users: You must run the Bootstrap application first to use ROM Manager.
Samsung users: You must flash a Clockwork compatible kernel first (see XDA forums)

FasterDownloads is a download accelerator that avoids Android's limitation when downloading files and gives you a much needed speed boost when you enable it's built-in Multithreaded Download! (Check the video for an example).
Note: Many file locker services with paid accounts block multithreaded downloads (Megaupload, FileSonic, Fileserve...). This is a limit set up by themselves and there is nothing I can do to get it working.

This app will register itself as a handler for most well known file types, allowing you to download them however you want, whenever you want. It is specially useful on phones using Touchwiz (the Samsung Galaxy line), since their browser has a mediocre download manager (Have you ever tried downloading an APK? It won't let you. Don't ask me why, I don't get it).

You can also send your links to a Mac or PC running JDownloader with its plugin "JD Remote Control" or see a complete list of the downloads in progress.

Note: If you want to download with a Premium Megaupload, Rapidhsare or Uploaded.to account, you only have to log in using the app's integrated browser. It will automatically use your cookie to enable premium downloads :)

* IMPORTANT *
Some third party browsers (Firefox, Opera, Dolphin...) block other apps from directly accessing the URLs that you are browsing though, with a bad side effect: This download manager (and many other apps) can not intercept the Intents required.
Miren Browser is an awesome third party browser AND it is fully supported :)
Long story short: Don't worry! You can long tap any link and "Share" it and this app will try to download it. And if you share a website, it will let you navigate through it until it catches the attachment (Useful for the sites that require you to be logged in).

* PREMISSIONS *
- Internet: This is a download manager, you NEED access to internet :)
- SDCard read/write: Same as above, this should be obvious... you must put the files somewhere.
- Wifi State: This one is trickier, this permission is only needed to know about the wifi state and is currently used by the JDownloader Setup Wizard. Soon you will be able to restrict some/all downloads to download only when you are connected to a Wifi network.

PLEASE UNINSTALL TRIAL VERSION FIRST AND THEN INSTALL FULL VERSION.

This program records phone calls from the phone line on some phones. Such recording is not usually available out-of-the-box, it needs hardware support in your OS kernel and root access. If you have an HTC device, you're in clover if you've got a custom ROM. Otherwise, please visit the xda site, there're plenty. Basically any device is supported, provided that it's based on a Qualcomm chip, say, their Snapdragons, etc. If your device has no such support, the program still records phone calls, but you need to select Android API in preferences and the recording will most likely proceed from the mike, not from the line. Please feel free to make any comments or send suggestions.

[Notes]
- Regina Launcher is a 'Home Replacement Application'. So you won't be able to see Regina Launcher if there is any default launcher already. In this case, please dismiss the previous default launcher in application setting menu.
- Because Regina 3D Launcher is pure 3D graphics, your device must have a decent graphics chip to gain usable performance.
- After installation, select "Version x.x.x" item in Regina Settings menu and update all app in list.
- Supports Eclair, Froyo, Gingerbread and tested on Galaxy Tab too.
- Live Wallpaper is not supported because of performance issue.
- You may face frequent re-initialization if there is not enough memory(RAM) remaining. Please reboot your device in this case.

Regina 3D Launcher is a 'Home Replacement Application' which uses pure 3D graphics showing various dynamic 3D effects for your pleasure.

In another blow to troubled BlackBerry maker, RIM, IDC and Appcelerator recently released a report that shows app developers are choosing Windows Phones ahead of BlackBerry devices, yet still behind Android and iOS.

With Nokia’s recent commitment to the platform, Windows Phone has seen a boost with the support of a major phone manufacturer. Here are the numbers:

38% of developers are very interested in a WP partnership

28% very intersted in developing specifically for Nokia’s Lumia line

48% have become more interested in WP because of their relationship with Nokia

BBX to be Released on the Rumoured BlackBerry London

Ever since the announcement of Rim’s upcoming unified platform for all Blackberry devices, BBX, there has been a lot of speculation about which device would be the first to feature the new OS.

With the recent leak of an upcoming BlackBerry device codenamed the London, it is widely believed to be the first device to feature the new software. Additional specs are being attributed to the questionably designed device:

1.5GHz TI dual-core processor
1GB RAM,
8 mega-pixel main camera (two-megapixel front-facer)
16GB of internal storage

As rumours go, this image is supposedly a mockup without a working screen so it may be far from what the final device may look like.

Displays for upcoming iPhone5 and 7.35 inch iPad coming from LG?

After LG’s CEO confirmed that they will be making the Retina displays for the iPad3, an unamed source has come out and stated that they are also working on the displays for the yet to be announced iPhone5 and smaller iPad.

Reports of the iPhone has been circulating the web, it seems forever ,so there’s not much of a surprise that someone is creating the screens for it, but the inclusion of a smaller form factor for the iPad is indeed a surprise. This new iPad mini it a direct attack at other tablet makers, namely RIM and their PlayBook. Although nothing has been confirmed, we can probably expect to see announcements of the new devices sometime this spring or summer. We’ll take the usual wait and see approach.
