Antarctica, 9 February 2012, 16:31 UTC – After having completed successfully the Antarctic ICE Expedition and 80 days on the ice, Belgians Dixie Dansercoer and Sam Deltour were expertly picked up from their final campsite and safely flown to the Russian Progress Station. During the Antarctic ICE Expedition both polar explorers achieved the world record for the longest autonomous and non-motorized expedition in Antarctica.

Mobistar has decided to conditionally waive a debt of 30 million euro owed by his subsidiary Orange S.A. in Luxembourg. reported turnover and a net result higher than the guidance. The EBITDA margin of service revenues and the investment level are in line with expectations. On 30 June 2007, the operator counts 3,199,735 active customers, an increase of 5.9 % compared to end of June 2006. The customer base including the MVNO cards amounts to 3,240,516, an increase of 88,061 customers compared to end of 2006. The share of postpaid customers continues to grow and on 30 June 2007 reaches 53.4 % of the total number of active customers, compared to 48 % the year before. The growth in number of postpaid customers cannot prevent the ARPU being influenced by a reduction of the mobile termination rates (MTR) and the lower wholesale roaming rates. Today, Mobistar (Euronext Brussels: MOBB) has released its results for the first half of 2006. On 30 June 2006, the operator had a total of 3,019,508 active customers**, an increase of 5.3% over the past 12 months and 106,702 more customers than at the beginning of this year. At the same time, the proportion of postpaid customers in the customer base increased to 48% of the active customers. This allowed Mobistar to further increase the average revenue per user (ARPU) to € 39.05, a growth of 5.9% compared to June 2005. The combination of strong customer growth and a rising ARPU generated a 7.7% increase in service revenues. This growth is also reflected in the EBITDA, which rose by 8.8 % to € 308.9 million and in the net profit, which increased to € 147.8 million, a growth of 9.2% compared to June 2005.

The operator has a total of 2.9 million mobile users*, 67,044 customers more than one year before. Despite reduced growth in the market, it achieved 10% growth in service revenues and 11.2% growth in its net profit. The strengthening of its postpaid base, now almost 44% of its customers, has made it possible for Mobistar to achieve a monthly average revenue per user in excess of € 38.
