Chattanooga, Tenn. – In an unlikely display of cooperation between fringe elements of the world’s two largest religions, Christian radicals teamed with fundamentalist Muslims to bomb a Tennessee abortion clinic late last month.
“From the Crusades to the Battle of Lepanto to the cleansing of Kosovo, Christians and Muslims have been spilling blood between our people for more than a thousand years,” said Iranian Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani during a recent joint interview with U.S. catholic politician Rick Santorum. “But after a millennia of violence, followers of both religions have started to realize that our faiths are not as different as once assumed. We actually have much in common – from our weird rules about sex to our strange obsession with Israel.”
The bombing, which left three abortion clinic employees injured, marked the first time in nearly 1,300 years that the independent organizations have worked together to commit an act of religious violence.
“In many ways, Christianity and Islam are more alike than different,” added Santorum. “In several instances – condoms, women’s rights, homosexuality, the subtle push toward unification of church and state – hardline Christians have much more in common with fundamentalist Islam than with the godless heathens of liberal democracy. Parents were afraid to send their children to schools, young Muslims were afraid to leave their homes. The question arises that are we vigilant enough to watch for the signs of radicalism in the people we know? Do we say something when we see something?

Muslim Burial for Boston Bomber? NO!

Some are raising the question if Boston Bomber; Tamerlan should receive a Muslim burial. No one except the media has declared him a Muslim. His uncle and aunt have both said that he showed interest in Islam but he was raised as a Christian. There has been no verification from FBI to that affect either. Then why raise the question if he should receive a Muslim burial? He was NOT a Muslim! He may have gone on Muslim websites but that does not make him a Muslim. Media has been very irresponsible in declaring him a Muslim.

Mosques are also shying away from giving him a Muslim burial.

A Saudi cleric claims the best way for his country to prevent sexual molestation of young girls is to require them to wear burkas.

The comments, made by cleric Sheikh Abdullah Daoud, come in the wake of the Fayhan al-Ghamdi verdict. Al-Ghamdi is a Saudi cleric accused of raping and torturing his five-year-old daughter to death. On Saturday, Digital Journal reported al-Ghamdi was ordered to pay "blood money" to the slain girl's mother, but was spared a jail sentence. Following the verdict, Manal al-Sharif, a women’s rights activist, launched the "Ana Lama" campaign via Twitter. The campaign is aimed at forcing the Saudi government to enact legislation that would criminalize violence against women and children. Under Saudi Arabia’s current Islamic law, a father cannot be executed for murdering his children, or for murdering his wife. Daoud, whose critics have dubbed his idea the "baby burkas” campaign, made the comments in October of last year. However following the al-Ghamdi verdict, the comments are just now beginning to receive widespread attention. During a television interview on Islamic Al-Majd TV, Daoud said wearing veils that completely covered the face would help prevent baby girls from being molested. He went on to claim that unnamed medical and security sources say there is an increase in the number of babies and young girls being molested, citing the case of a 49-year-old man accused of raping his daughter no less than 288 times as an example. Former Saudi Board of Grievances judge, Sheikh Mohammad Al-Jzlana, is publicly criticizing Daoud for his comments, telling Al Arabiya that the comments were denigrating to Islam and Shariah and “made Islam look bad”. How will burqa prevent girls from being raped by their own fathers or brothers? Every woman in Saudi Arabia is covered in burqa and are completely segregated. There have been wide spread cases where men have dug up the graves of women and raped the dead women. They can hide them in burqa or bury them, these monsters will not leave them alone. Suicide Attacks in Afghanistan

(Reuters) - A coordinated attack involving at least three suicide bombers and a powerful car bomb took aim at the headquarters of the Kabul traffic department on Monday, followed by a clash between at least one insurgent and security forces, police said.
The attack took place just days after six suicide bombers attacked the Afghan spy agency in Kabul, killing two.
The Taliban claimed responsibility for Monday's attack.
"Today at 5 o'clock in the morning (8:30 p.m. EST Sunday) a number of mujahideen martyrs entered a government building close to an American training centre... Heavy fighting is ongoing," spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said in a text message to media.
Police said it was not immediately clear if there were any casualties in the attack, which involved a second bombing, a tactic favored by Islamist insurgents elsewhere but relatively rare in Afghanistan.
"About an hour after the initial attack (triple suicide bomb attack) a fourth man drove a car to the same compound and detonated another bomb," the head of the Kabul police criminal investigation department, Mohammad Zahir, told Reuters.
Violence across the country has been increasing over the last year, sparking concern over how the 350,000-strong Afghan security forces will be able to manage once foreign troops withdraw by 2014.

Canadian Authority summon Qadri for violating the Oath

Canadian authorities on Friday summoned Minhajul Quran International (MQI) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri on February 5, and sought explanation from him for violating the oath he took while seeking asylum, Express News reported.

The authorities said that Qadri violated the oath stating that he was not allowed to enter the country he had sought asylum from.
According to Express News correspondent Shakeel Anjum, Abdul Shakoor Qadri, otherwise known as Tahir Qadri, had sought asylum from Canada in 2008, fearing threats to his life after he met with the Danish cartoonist responsible for making blasphemous caricatures of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).
Qadri, through his lawyer Mendel Green, had requested that he was receiving death threats from Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan, Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (LeJ) and Sipah-e-Sahaba.
On October 17, 2009, his asylum application was accepted, while he was issued the Canadian passport about six months back.
The MQI chief has also been receiving welfare funds from the Canadian government, citing health issues.
Qadri, who led a 5-day long march in Islamabad which concluded Thursday evening, is currently present in Pakistan.
He is scheduled to fly back to Canada on January 27 along with his family.

(Reuters) - The United States said on Wednesday that U.S. citizens were among the hostages taken when Islamist militants raided a gas facility in Algeria and that U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton had telephoned Algeria's prime minister to discuss the incident.

"Beyond confirming that there are Americans among the hostages, I will ask you to respect our decision not to get into any further details as we try to secure these people," State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland told a news briefing.

Nuland said Clinton had spoken with both Algerian Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal and the U.S. ambassador in Algeria on Thursday, and that U.S. officials were also in contact with the security office of British Petroleum, which operates the gas field together with Norway's Statoil and Algeria's state company Sonatrach.
The militants said they had kidnapped up to 41 foreigners, including seven Americans, in the dawn raid in retaliation for France's intervention in Mali, according to media reports. The raiders were also reported to have killed three people, including a Briton and a French national.
U.S. Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta, speaking to reporters in Rome where he was on an official trip, said that "by all indications, this is a terrorist act."
"Obviously we're continuing to review the situation to determine exactly what happened," Panetta said.
"I want to assure the American people that the United States will take all necessary and proper steps that are required to deal with this situation."
Panetta said he did not have any firm information on the number of hostages, or on whether there were links to the situation in Mali, where French troops launched their first ground assault against Islamist rebels on Wednesday after six days of air strikes.
"I do know that terrorists are terrorists," Panetta said.

A Canadian cleric, who has twice played a part in backing military juntas in nuclear-armed Pakistan, is back in that country. And once more, he appears to be facilitating a military takeover in Islamabad.
Tahir-ul-Qadri is better known for his role in the creation of the infamous “Anti-Blasphemy Law” of Pakistan, that has brought untold misery to religious minorities and agnostics.
In the 1980s, Qadri backed the military junta of the Islamist General Zia who had overthrown former prime minister Z.A. Bhutto. In 1999, he backed the administration of General Pervez Musharraf, which had staged a coup against former prime minister Nawaz Shariff.
By the time democracy was restored in Pakistan, Qadri had emigrated to Canada, where he went into political hibernation until he became eligible for a Canadian passport.
With that in hand, Qadri left Canada to manage his worldwide network of devotees, who believe the Prophet Muhammad has appeared in Qadri’s dreams and gives him instructions.

No School; it's Missile Day

There is no bound of happiness among children when snow falls from the sky and schools are closed, it's snow day! Parents complain that their routine is interrupted because now they have to make arrangement for the child care so they could to go to work. Most of the kids sit by the windows waiting for the snow to stop so they could go sledding.

What happens when the schools close and it 'missile day'. When it's not the beautiful snow falling from the sky but missiles, when parents are not worried about going to work but worried about saving their young ones, when there is is no sledging other than sledging into bunkers. Missiles were being launched by Gaza into Israel indiscriminately, and they were landing at schools and populated ares. Same way Israel was sending missiles into Gaza killing hundreds, including children. Pictures coming out of Gaza were horrific, wounded children, veiling mothers and helpless grand parents.

Schools were closed on the both side of the border and children were traumatized on both side of the border. Will these children get any therapy and consoling? Will the the adults work towards the lasting peace? When these children look at their missing limbs will they hold the their adults accountable or will they hold grudge for the enemy? These children have deep wounds both physically and emotionally. My fear is that if these children are ignored and they will turn into the new crop of extremists.

We need two State solution, we need the parties to come to the table and work toward peace. Israel is here to stay and no one can will it away. Sooner Palestinians realize that the better it would be for them and the World. Children need to be children where they ran and laugh and not have a care in the World and not worry about the loud blasts that would rupture their ear drums or worse kill them.

Foreign Minister Mohammed Kamel Amr said the truce would take effect at 9 p.m. local time (2 p.m. EDT.) He made the announcement alongside visiting U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton.

In Jerusalem, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed the deal, saying he had agreed after consulting with President Barack Obama.

The deal is to end a week of fighting that has killed more than 140 Palestinians and five Israelis.

Malala Yousufzai was shot and seriously wounded on Tuesday as she was leaving her school in her hometown in the Swat valley, northwest of the capital, Islamabad.

The Taliban claimed responsibility, saying her promotion of education for girls was pro-Western and she had opposed them.

The shooting has outraged people in a country seemingly inured to extreme violence since a surge in Islamist militancy began after the September 11, 2001, attacks on the United States.

Libyans Apologize for American Deaths

Libyans took peacefully to the streets of Tripoli with banners in hands apologizing to the United States for the the killing of Ambassador Stevens and three other Americans. Most of the Muslims are in shock over the barbaric acts of the terrorists in Benghazi. The Muslims do not believe in portraying Prophet Mohammed in any way and when the movie about him came out which portrayed him in a manner that is offence to many Muslims, terrorists found the the opportunity to bring chaos and terror to the American embassy. They set the embassy on fire and killed innocent Americans.
