My Flower Girl | Old St. Patrick’s Church in Chicago

As a wedding photographer, having your little one being a flower girl is a dream. When Chris and Sam called to let me know they wanted Annahlu to be their flower girl, I was jumping off the chair. To be guests in this beautiful wedding and having our little one walk down the isle, is more than words can explain. Here are a few pictures I captured throughout the day.

The ceremony was held at Old St. Patrick’s Church in Chicago.

The entire wedding was truly exquisite, where Ali Phillips from Engaging Events By Ali did an amazing job.

The reception was held in the Renaissance Ballroom at the InterContinental Hotel Chicago.

My blog posts lately have been shamefully few and far between. Blame it on the crazy busy season or the holidays or the fact that my children went bananas with the time change… in any case I owe you a LOT of blogging… and it will be coming soon! To tide you over here are a few random sneak peeks from a bunch of family portraits I did in the last few weeks (’tis the season and I have a few family portrait sessions left before the holidays if you’re still interested!)

Mount Merino Manor: Hudson New York Wedding

John and Lindsay are such a joy, and they have one of our favorite qualities: they were up for anything! Nothing inspires Joe and I more than a client who takes our suggestions as challenges to accomplish! Their venue choice of Mount Merino Manor in Hudson, NY had a quaint charm that was enjoyable. And they also had a bagpiper at their ceremony, the 3rd wedding in October we saw this!

They arranged for a first look so we could hit up a couple other locations for portraits. Don’t you just love John’s emotion?

Joe found one of the two moments we had a little sun that day. Since the forecast was calling for monsoon-like conditions, we really lucked out!

Jonathan & Emma Getting Married – McLean House, Sunnybrook Estates Toronto

Weddings at Toronto’s Sunnybrook Estates are always beautiful. They are classic English designed houses, with beautiful decor, and tons and tons of character. Almost like our amazing couple Jonathan & Emma. This beautiful couple just oozes character, they are fun, lighthearted, and a perfect match for this location. These two are so much in love, and everyone can tell.
This year we have photographed quite a few long distance couples. Jonathan is from Canada and Emma is from the U.K. They met in College and have been traveling back and forth ever since.

It rained on their wedding day, and even though the ceremony had to be brought inside, we are firm believers in the Hindu belief that rain is a sign of good luck and wellness.

Tappan Hill, Tarrytown, New York

We started our day at the Westchester Marriott in Tarrytown, NY. On the way in, we momentarily got swept away into an Indian wedding baraat (processional with the white horse), but the crowd soon dissipated leaving us to a quiet lobby…. until Mark walked in! Our whole day was fun and adventurous this way. We never seemed to know exactly what to expect, but things always seemed to turn out right.

The weather held out, allowing us to not only shoot our portraits outside, but also enjoy an amazing river view ceremony. A bright red firetruck showed up in time for the bridal party photos! And, we got to get down and party hard with our favorite band, The Original Faze 4 (who played at our own wedding last May).

greystone mansion | emilie + ross

i could not wait for emilie and ross’ wedding. not only was their location a dream, but they also used the same caterer and bakery we used for our own wedding! emilie and ross were married at the beautiful greystone mansion where two of my favorite celebrities, elizabeth banks and jamie king had their weddings. with catering by truly yours and a delicious cake from hansen’s cakes, all of emilie and ross’ guests had their taste buds delighted! the look, feel and perfect flow of the day was handled by one of our favorite coordinators, alicia from in the now weddings. we started off with getting ready at the beverly hilton and then headed over to greystone. emilie paired purples with whites which all came together in the most stunning centerpieces and bouquets. The weather could not have been more amazing, and emilie and ross were a dream to work with. we had such a wonderful time capturing this wedding and i think the photos just speak for themselves in showing the vision this couple had for their wedding day!
