We could spend hours snuggling into a comfy womb-like bean bag.  Sure you sacrifice your dignity when trying to get in and out of them-most unflattering, but the squishy seat can’t be beat in the cozy department. Once a staple of 1970’s apartment living, the bean bag’s popularity has diminished over the years. Swedish designers, Form Us With Love, have tried to change that, by giving the simple bag a  much needed face lift.

Introducing the dated relic to a whole new generation was going to require this sad sack have a full body makeover.  Swedish design group Form Us With Love took the deflated bag and bolstered it’s image,  not to mention it’s height, by adding a ‘cage’ base that not only gives the bag form but elevates it to a more comfortable (and attractive) seating position.

To make each pencil sculptures, she takes hundreds of pencils, cuts them to size , drills a hole in each one so she can sew them together.  She takes care to sharpen each pencil before she beads the pencils into shape.

Love being outdoors in the winter but want to keep warm and toasty? Design group AK47 have designed an outdoor circular fire pit aptly named, Zero,  that will give you and your friends a cozy place to gather and relax.

Zero’s round design allows for seating but also wood storage, so you won’t have to stop the party to keep the home fires burning. Go to Ak47 to see all their firewood inspired designs.

Despite a close call with the Fred Campfire Candle, (it created a towering inferno but still love the effect just got to keep a close eye on it) we still love candles in the winter. A little flickering candle light makes us feel all warm and cozy . We love this candle because it gives you more than just a flickering flame, as you burn the candle a little spirit emerges to let you know the dark dreary winter will soon be over. Remember when you were a kid and your mom made goofy little pancaked shaped animals to bribe you to eat your breakfast? Same concept here except we’re betting if someone made you a Gun Egg you’d be sure to gobble it all down. ‘Eggs Benedict Arnold’ Anyone?

Who says urban dwellers can’t have gardens?Vertical gardens are not a new concept but designer Xavier Calluaud’s Urb Garden is the first one we’ve seen that actually composts as well.  Vertical gardens are a space saving way to farm your own fresh herb and veg.

We get it. Hair as a design resource, groovy. We dated a Heavy Metal dude once with really long hair. Kinda skeeved us out. We broke up with him because of it. Shallow we know, but there’s just something creepy about constantly picking your boyfriend’s hair off you. The designer of these coiffed creations  Dejano Kabiljo of Kabiljo Inc., designed the PRETTYPRETTY Collection  to ‘regulate the erotic allure that surrounds us’. If your ‘erotic allure’ is dating a dude with long hair these chairs may be for you. But as for us, we feel the same way about these chairs as we did about that guy. We think they’re cool but we don’t want to date them.

This chair has a Dolly Parton circa 1970’s vibe we dig. Definitely Dolly. There’s a busty blond with a touch of sass coming from this chair. If a chair were a spunky girlfriend this would be the one you’d want in your corner. Just like 9 to 5.

LOVE the Geisha Pouf!  It’s got us turning Japanese (we really think so). Keeping every single hair in place is going to be a challenge, must begin geisha training now.
