One of my favorite bloggers has a new venue....Marian of Miss Mustard Seed had a vision {another of many successful ones}. Her leap of faith ? A line of milk paints in her favorite colors. Anyone familiar with her blog knows how talented she is with her re-purposed furniture.

Her bio: Mustard Seed Interiors LLC is a small business that was born out of a 
love for antiques, decorating on a budget, and giving old pieces of 
furniture new life. While the primary focus of the retail business is 
painted and refinished furniture, MSI also carries upholstered pieces, 
found objects, vintage-inspired painted signs and handmade accessories 
for the home.  All of these products are currently available for sale on
 the first floor in The Old Lucketts Store in Leesburg, VA.

AND: a freelance writer for HGTV.com and a contributor to Cottages and Bungalows magazine (DIY Essentials Column.

I'm sure you've seen her work she's been featured in:  

Romantic Homes magazine (January 2011), Flea Market Style (Spring 2011),

.....she writes inspiring and healing books for women. I read a sample (1st chapter free HERE ) of her book called GRACE FOR THE GOOD GIRL

I HOPE you are moved by this first chapter and it effects you like it did me and you go out and buy several copies too and you pin it on PINTEREST also and I really hope you spread this to as many women that you love dearly ....because I think we all need this!!!

Double Take

While enjoying my coffee this morning I headed over to one of my favorite blogs, Design Dump by Autumn Clemons. I try to make my blog rounds regularly.....but In an older post of hers I spotted it and did a Double Take. There it was the {almost}twin to my Free Updated Dresser {Here}. She did hers in white ....I had the hardest time deciding between Grey or White and even though now I see them side by side I'm thinking......that it might go White later. I love this dresser and can't wait to see where it evolves to. {the furniture in our home rotates with out warning}

My list this summer just keeps on going and going, page after page. Even though everyday I work on it. I thought about it this morning - maybe if I stop going on Pinterest for just awhile I could catch up{insert long pause} ....I will just have to get more paper. I Love the fact that everything she does is on a budget and loaded with creativity! The best part of this fort/hideaway {no trees needed} Our newish backyard {8yrs old} can barley hold a bird house, so this is Perfect.

Family-Friendly English Country House

Su Harr wasn’t particularly daunted when she first walked through the 1840s Georgian-style Sussex house that she and her family now call home. Though scaffolding appeared to be holding up several walls and the basement ceiling was all but collapsing, Su saw potential in the rambling yet classic home.

With three children (Dominique, 24; Mackenzie, 10; and Mungo, 8), Su’s 
first priority was to convert the house from a formal English country 
house to a family-friendly home.

Almost storybook, in fact. A child’s imagination is given free rein here. Outdoors, the children have 2 1/2 acres of gardens to roam. Roses and wisteria flourish. A pool offers respite from the (occasional) English sun. There’s even a “Children’s Wood” that’s worthy of enchanted-forest status.
