What a beautiful setting for a surprise proposal!! Captured by Lindsey Gomes Photography, Laura and Tim headed to Pismo State Beach in California for their annual Christmas card photo shoot with their adorable dogs. Little did Laura know, Tim had contacted Lindsey weeks earlier to let her know that he planned to propose to Laura during the session. He had a custom ring made, and when they found a spot with gorgeous light streaming through the tangled trees, Tim got down on one knee and popped the question. Laura said yes! The couple has an amazing set of images to remember this very special moment in their lives. I definitely love the new “modern bridal session” trend! Captured by Alisha Cryderman Photography in Riverside, California, Malerie’s bridal images are anything but ordinary. With gorgeous soft lighting, stunning fashion, and a beautiful subject, they are absolutely lovely photographs. I adore Malerie’s gown with its lace back accented with sparkly jewels. Her gown has an alluring vintage quality to it, but remains completely contemporary.

I have always wanted to visit Charleston, South Carolina, but after seeing this gorgeous engagement session, I am dying to go! Captured by Chi Photography of Charleston, Daniela and Adam spent the day wandering around Charleston’s Waterfront Park. The couple kissed among the beach reeds, went for a stroll down a tree covered path, and posed in front of some beautiful brick buildings. I love the eclectic mix of beach, park and urban scenery.

I love getting event submissions from other countries. It is such a great opportunity to see how people around the world celebrate! Captured by Lizzy C Photography, Kerrie and Eric were married last November in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia at the Yering Station. The couple enjoyed their day with many laughs and not an ounce of stress. Kerrie was a ball of energy, especially considering that she is carrying around a little plus one! Guests enjoyed a delicious array of food and wine while gazing out over Yarra Valley, Australia’s wine region. Scattered with modern art, the station grounds created a playground for this fun-loving couple.

Today’s feature wedding is overflowing with gorgeous modern details! Photographed by Karey Michelle Photography, Christie and Charles were married last June in a destination wedding in St. Louis, Missouri. Their Catholic ceremony took place at the beautiful Old Cathedral (Basilica of St. Louis, King), the oldest cathedral west of the Mississippi. The couple’s reception was originally planned for the Gateway Arch Riverboat Cruise, but unfortunately the river flooded the weekend of their wedding. An alternate plan was carried out with a fabulous reception at the Hyatt Regency Hotel at The Arch. Following the reception, Christie and Charles exited via horse and carriage…complete with a “just married” sign! I love the bold mixing of bright colors in the floral arrangements and centerpieces. Orange, pink, blue and purple are used to create a super modern atmosphere.
