It was revealed to us that both Dogen and Sayid made deals with Jacob and Fake-Locke to save someone they cared for at the expense of them staying on the island with a “job.”
If you recall, Juliet also made a similar deal with respect to saving her sisters life for staying on the island and doing her research.

Can we assume that Claire made a similar deal regarding her son, maybe one that she doesn’t recall?

Also, Sayid was instructed to stab Fake-Locke before he spoke. Does that mean that Sayid would have been able to kill him if he had followed directions or do we take Fake-Locke’s word that Sayid would never have been able to kill him, Dogen was just trying to get Sayid killed?

Did you catch tonight’s Olympics Opening Ceremonies? I was bored out of my mind. Sure there were some high points like projected Orcas swimming across the stage and the mind boggling hair of that opera singer… but the rest? come on.

I wanted excitement and impossible daring feats. I got a poet from youtube and a boy twirling in the air performing “can you see the wind.” Is this the impression you wanted the world to have, Canada? Is this what you wanted me to take away from the opening ceremonies? Boredom?

Should have used the Disney Epcot Pavillion sound track (Oh Canada, you’re a lifetime journey for the traveler) or the whole attraction would have been fine also.

I wonder if there is a transcript of the speech the CEO gave, which was a series of lists combined to form a speech.

Regardless, the torch is lit and the games have commenced! Can’t wait to watch the events!!

Does this mean we should expect new music from Garbage? Is their hiatus finally over?

Not too long ago, the studio Garbage recorded most of their music in (Smart studios owned by band member Butch Vig) announced it was officially closing so I figured that would be the end of Garbage… I’m glad to hear they are back to recording regardless of whether their “home studio” is closed or not.

On a side note, I live in the same area as Shirley Manson and have failed to run into her. Can someone make this happen already? Seriously.

Saw the squeakquel, reminded me of when I used to watch the cartoons all the time as a kid.

Slumdog Millionaire – I enjoyed watching it, but it wasn’t the “MOST AMAZING MOVIE EVERRRRR” like everyone was telling me. It was fine, it was enjoyable, but I’m not watching it again.

Old Dogs – A pretty decent family movie with lots of silliness. Kept me amused.

Sherlock Holmes – I thought this was great. Mystery, light action, some romance… See it.

Made of Honor – A good romantic comedy. Watch it on TV like I did…
