Colour blocking head to toe is iCatching to say the least. Miroslava Duma has a particular talent for combining the perfect hues and creating a classic look, almost coming alive in its vibrant colour. But I admire those above who have put together 'mix and match' items, while effortlessly giving an impression the outfit originated as a set.

The beanie hat is no longer an item your Mama forced you to wear - only to keep your ears warm and, of course, make you look extremely uncool. This winter had outfits rocking this once undesirable item, and coming in all shades brightened up dull, rainy days.

Living in Manhattan has had the opposite effect on my blogging to what I had predicted. It really is the city (well, so far for me) where it is all work and no play. This has had a very negative and non-productive effect on Molly Pocket, and for those of you who are followers, I am very sorry. I plan on boosting MP bag into gear, and pumping her full of juicy outfit posts and in-vogue iCatchers.

I have just returned from Las Vegas (yes, it was as amazing as ever!) where I was finally able to where some of my many purchases that I have made over the past few months. This jumper is overly snug, and I admit it was thrown on every day at some point. It definitely lived up to its 'worn' look.

I have truly missed you all.

I included a few out-takes in here which I am dedicating to the wonderful and always entertaining Man Repeller, Leandra Medine. Her latest blog post was questioning the lack of smiling by bloggers. I am guilty of only revealing my sullen pout on Molly Pocket, and maybe I should start splashing out with a few dorky grins. What do you think? Is TMR right? Does the blogger pout equate to vanity? I always thought my smile gave a sense of 'cheezyness'! Maybe thats what my blog needs: more CHEESE.

I probably should have worn tights today....but black from head to toe gives me the willies. Studded jacket, shaggy dress and velour cowboy boots: nice combo if I may so myself!

I am letting you in on a little secret of mine: I am totally head of over heels in love with this street. My grand master plan is to make millions and live in this overly french inspired building, 311 Lafayette Street. I actually joined the gym opposite where I am standing above, for the sole purpose of visiting this place daily.

So, I know this isn't quite a 'statement jumper,' but it's close! It's a far cry from Kenzo, but it will do for now until I am living the high life on Lafayette. Finally got around to buying a hair straightener (Walgreens finest for $20!) and am trying to get back into the routine of actually doing something with my mane.

The fashionistas today have wonderfully transformed and occupied it into a feminine entity, by manipulating its fitting qualities and accessorizing with jewels and glitter. So we have finally been restored with power in East Village. Yesterday morning EV looked even more beautiful than I remember it to have been pre-Sandy!!! This outfit was also pre-sandy, and even though it was not so long ago, the weather has changed so dramatically that i will need to be adding many more layers to current outfits. The heating has been switched on and we are preparing for a very cold winter in NYC. Ps I love the subtle yet almost identical colour crossover between my hat (favourite new purchase) and these plaid pants!

This simple jumper took fashion week by storm, and might have just lead the way into another trend and my next iCatchers post: 'Green Machine.' In my eyes this jumper is a throw back to something I would have worn on my first day of school. Combine it with a pair of dungarees and ditch my hand bag for a backpack and the 90's transformation would be complete.

I attended my first NYFW show today, Norisol Ferrari. The constant flow of eye-catching outfits, combined with being in a space where you are literally breathing in fashion, made the Licoln Centre my favourite place so far to be in NYC! I thought, since I am a recent resident of Manhattan, I thought I'd give my outfit a NY twist, by having the baseball cap the main and outstanding feature of my outfit. Incorporating the leather skirt into my outfit was a hit with DNAinfo, since they pulled me aside to interview me on my view on the popular leather trend. To top the day off Olivia Palermo sat opposite me at Norisol Ferrari. She is as perfect as ever, and her ensemble has to be my favourite so far at NYFW.

Another hot and sweaty day in Manhattan. Spent my day strolling around East Village and getting to know what will hopefully, one day soon, be my new home-town! This top is the perfect shade of red, and has made me realise my love for it's delightful result when combined with blue. I have had my eye on a pair of nikes with a similar colour clash and this outfit might have just given me the push to complete the purchase.

iCatchers: Classic Black&White

Never underestimate the dramatic effect a simple black and white combination can have. The likes of Elin Kling and Emmaneulle Alt, demonstrate time and time again, the outcome of pairing a white shirt with black jeans and a belt is always striking, modern and highly chic. I find COS always provides simple black and white items with a more contemporary twist.

There hasn't been enough opportunities to wear this dress. Originally I had planned to style it very simply, with a tuxedo black blazer, black strappys and some needed layers of tan! Unfortunately the weather in Ireland does not allow for either the summer clothing, or the opportunity to tan. Look forward to wearing it in New York, a city considerate of these vital fashion conditions.

Haven't worn my fringe pinned back like this in a while. I was alarmed at how my forehead seems to have grown. Scary. On a lighter note, Penneys are pulling out all the stops for their Autumn Winter line making it almost impossible to justify shopping anywhere else!
