Motherhood has taught me a lot of things but the one thing I am continually learning is how to slow down and enjoy the little moments. Soaking in the small things that I would other wise over look and realizing that these sweet moments of motherhood are so valuable and these days, hours and years I will never get back.

I am in a season where all my children are littles and need a lot of me and it can be physically and mentally exhausting. To any visitor that comes over ,my life and house could seem a lot like chaos, but in the mist of it all I find joy. Cherishing the little things like the laughter of my children playing together and developing friendships with each other, the sounds of little footsteps running up and down the stairs in the mornings or random hugs and kisses throughout the day. These are the things I want to always remember and never want to take for granted. These are the things that make my heart grow in love a little more and that teach me what life is really all

about.

Though there are sleepless nights, many sleepless nights, I wake up in the morning knowing that I have one of the most important jobs in the world. We as mothers are doing the good work and though it is hard it is worth it and this gives me peace .

When the living room floor is covered in toys and the kitchen sink is filled with dirty dishes I have to remember not to stress and that the life I live can be messy.

The mess can be cleaned but this time,these moments I can't ever get back . I would rather love my family and children well and have dishes not done than to have a spotless house that has no life,no love, no fun.

So everyday I am learning to slow down enjoy life and live from a place of peace. Knowing that this journey of motherhood has its ups and downs. I don't have to try to control it I just have to let go and roll with it embrace the day and embrace this season.

My natural birth story {Levi James}

January 25,2016 I woke up at 8:00am with light contractions and I just knew that it was for real. There is just this overwhelming feeling that comes over me feelings of excitement,joy and lthrill that tell me that it's the day I will meet my baby.

I made breakfast and got the kids set up with books and crafts that I had planned. While they were occupied I put the last couple things in my hospital bag and got through some contractions on my birthing ball. Now I am known to have super quick labor and delivery so I called the sitter to come over right away and made sure to call my husband to come home from work . I told my five year l old that her baby brother was on his way and her excitement was contagious. "Just breathe mama, that's what I do when I am hurt or upset." Is what she would say ( the girl surprises me everyday).

Though the plan is to have a hospital birth laboring as long as possible at home is best for me. It's where I am most relaxed and comfortable and when it starts getting bad we head to the hospital.

So for 3 hours i labored with my husband upstairs in our room while the sitter and kids were downstairs. We used the birthing ball , I got in the shower and tried moving into different positions. The contractions were 3-5 min apart when we decided it was time to go to the hospital. When I got there the contractions had slowed down and when the nurse checked me I was 5 centimeters dilated. The contractions started to pick back up and I asked for intermediate monitoring where the nurse comes in periodically to check mine and the baby's heart so I could still be up and moving around .

I labored standing up putting all my weight on my husband in what is called the slow dance position for the next 2 1/2 hours. The staff was pretty awesome they knew we wanted a natural birth and they respected that.They left us alone , dimmed the lights and said y'all let us know what you need . I started to get the urge to push but my water hadn't broke so I asked my midwife to break my water because I knew that was all that was holding baby back .She checked me and I was fully dialated .She broke my water and immediately I pushed two big pushes one after the other and before I knew it ...Levi James came into the world! 7lbs 11oz 19 1/2 inch long straight hair and puckered lips I was holding my baby boy. So many emotions came flooding in . I am blessed!

This year before we jumped into our homeschool year I had all planned out some goals ,themes and milestones that I wanted us to focus on and accomplish. The main ones are reading, handwriting skills, and mastering basic math.

But as I prayed and continue to pray about what God wants us to focus on he always points out character training,household chores and setting a consistant and firm discipline system up .

Wow! Is what I think to myself I didn't think of these areas as the MAIN focus. I realized I kind of put these areas off as side things that I thought we could touch on here and there ,but he reminds me that the heart and character is the most important part! If she can read and write well but has bad character traits and doesn't love and honor others then it's meaningless. This is what it is all about and I have had to continuely remind myself of what's really important at this age.

Now is the time to begin to instill the qualities ,traits and values that are so important into my children. This is the training time this is when habits are being formed and personalities are being molded . "Train your child up in the way they should go and when they are old they will not depart from it"

He always knows best and I can see on a daily basis why now this is what he says to focus on. The attitude of a five year old girl is no joke! How easily habits are being formed in the children are crazy (like tv and iPads) they love consistantcy and when something is different it throws them all off.

We have been doing morning ,afternoon and evening chores at the same time everyday .Everybody has a part and at such a young age they all think it's fun :) I am instilling in them practical life skills that they will need to succeed in life and also a love to help and serve others.

Same with discipline .We have established a good system and everybody knows what is expected of them and the consequences that will take place if they cross the boundaries. The training I believe is the hardest part it takes consistantcy, repetition and strength not to give up or in ,but it will be so worth it I just think of the peace that will come with it all. So if this year all that my children walk away from our first official year of homeschooling with is knowing how to do chores, good habits ,attitudes and character traits then we have done well.

Starting our Homeschooling Journey

July 5, 2015 my frist born will be 5 years old i still cant believe how fast time really has passed us by! People would always say " enjoy them while their babies it goes fast" and now i can attest babies really don't keep.

This fall we will be starting kindergarten at home and we are so excited ,she will tell you herself how excited she is to officially start homeschooling. We did preschool at home learning shapes,colors,letters and all of those fun things with the exception of 4 months in a preschool program outside of the home.

We been doing lots of interest lead, Montessori activities at home and i have seen her continuously flourish. We have learned about the us map, talked about the state that we live in and states that close relatives and friends live in, we have learned about the us flag , read the chapter book Chartlotts web and watch the movie with activities that went along with it we are also learning about addition, and starting the reading process!

I have so many plans for us going into kindergarden and cant wait to enbark this journey please follow us along on our homeschooling journey!

Birth story {Alayna Nicole}

I woke up around 9:00 am on November 3, 2013 with some mild contractions , i had been having contractions on and off for the last couple of days, but on this morning i knew it was time. The contractions just felt different. So i got in the shower packed the few things that i had left out of my hospital bag and continued on with my morning routine of taking care of the other kiddos. When a contraction would come, like while i was in the middle of making breakfast, i would just stop and breathe through them. I also got on my birthing ball in different positions that helped elevate some of the pain. I labored at home for 3 hours until it was time to go to the hospital, the contractions where about 5 min apart but didn't last long, when we got to the hospital the nurse checked me and i was 7 cm dilated! The nurse couldn't believe i was so far dilated she said because i was so "controlled" the nurses were pretty good they left us alone for the most part and i was able to walk around get on my birthing ball and in different positions as much as i wanted. I asked for intermediate monitoring so i didn't have to be strapped to a machine the whole time they just came in every now and then to check mine and the baby's heart.

There where times when I felt i couldn't do it anymore, it hurt too bad and in my weakness My husband was amazing i am not even exaggerating on how awesome he is during birth. He reminded me that every contraction was one step closer to having our little girl, he told me how strong i was, and that this was a normal process my body was doing exactly what it was supposed to do , "don't fight the pain he would say just work with it." I had him massaging my lower back and moving with me during the contractions. We worked awesome as a team and i really couldn't do it without him.

Still at 7 cm i started to have the urge to push my water still had not broken so the midwife asked if i wanted to let her brake it. I agreed and like 30-45 min after that i was fully dilated and ready to push! I pushed in a half sitting position ,pushed 3 times and out she came!

November 3, 2013 at 4:00pm 6hrs of natural labor weighing 5lb 15oz 18.5in long.
Big brown eyes, head full of hair and so teeny tiny!! we welcomed Alayna Nicole. Our third and precious child. My heart and my home feels so full i am truly blessed among women <3

Letter Of the Week

This Week the letter Of the Week was the letter "c" and the theme was fall leaves because She is so amazed At how the leaves are orange, yellow and red.

she glued the paper cookies i made on to the letter C and then we made chocolate chip cookies!

We went on a nature walk and she found a bunch of leaves that had changed colors and fallen. We talked about fall and how the leaves turn colors and fall off the trees to make room for the new leave that will grow in the spring, then she glued the leaves on a piece of paper and I added the tree trunk.

I drew an uppercase letter C and a lowercase letter c and then let her glue cotton balls on. We talked about how cotton stats with the letter c and the sound that it makes.

This is a pintrest idea that i found, I let her trace the letters and pictures with water and a paint brush. She also had to tell me the letter and the sounds that they make.

Mariah is 3 Now and She has always had love for learning .She loves the Whole process Doing art and activities,memorizing,practicing,and repition. It All come so Easy to her, She catches On so Quickly.
And Of course i love to Teach her, i mean who wouldnt She Makes it fun, so i have Been incorperating themes and learning activities into our everyday. I Kinda Let her lead and we chose a theme based On What She is Most interested In that Week. we are also Working On learning lowercase abc and Thier sounds ( She is set On the uppercase letters) and recognizing numbers for Now 1~10 .

I have taken a very Hands-On /Montessori aproach but i do like to mix it up When needed.

I will be sharing activities and ideas :)

33 Weeks

Im Ready to have this baby, plain and simple. My body Just feels Ready. I have In the back Of My Head everyday that today could be the day. i feel like i could Go into labor. I Know i Still have about 7-9 more Weeks left but maybe not..

Iam eating like a pig, My body aches and All i want to do is sleep. On the flip side i can feel her every Move and as She becomes more and more real to our family and i, My Heart beats a little faster. I cant stop imagining How it will feel to hold and nurse and love On a newborn baby again. And.words cannot describe How much joy it brings me to Hear Mariah ask "can i Help Change baby Alayna`s diapers, and feed her and Hug her. "

33 Weeks pregnant with life, with our third little person and fith member of our growing family. I cant Wait to give Birth to Another Beautiful, healthy bundle.

Her name & 26 week update

I am excited to share our baby girls name. I am so in love with her name and its meaning. It didnt take long for use to decide on this name, as soon as it came to mind i knew that this was the name for our baby. It just felt right.

26 weeks pregnant
baby girl is kicking around, i am eating EVERYTHING and my belly is itching( don't scratch).
I have been having the hardest time sleeping through the night and i have rearranged the house at least 100 times in the last week. Been daydreaming about what she will look like and imagining myself rocking my tiny little newborn. I cant wait, but i can wait. I just ordered some fresh new cloth diapers to add to our collection. We have more than enough hand me down, practically new clothes from my 3 year old ,that praise the Lord I couldn't ever get rid of and now i know why ;)

Pregnancy week 25 {baby #3}

hellooo! I am 25 weeks pregnant craaazy. Getting really excited and nesting and preparing for this precious one, we will soon be a family of 5 :) My heart is happy . This week i have been growing in more ways then just getting a bigger belly. My mind and heart feels like they are are growing too.

I havent really had any new changes still eating, sleeping and drinking lots of water. I have gained about 7-10 lbs so far and its all belly( praise the Lord) . Next week i have my glucose test not looking forward to that even though i know everything will be fine the drink is just nasty...

I have been trying to just take it easy and really take in the special things about pregnancy. Its alot different then when i was pregnant with my other two. I guess my mind and focus are on the other 10000 thngs i have going on and i havent really been loving this season of carrying life.

A burning heart

Sharing my heart today, letting down some walls and being vulnerable.

For the last year or so {maybe longer} i have felt a need for friendship. I mean real friendship not just surface level relationships im talking about real heart connections with other women. Lot has been going on in my life and sometimes i just need somebody to just vent to somebody i can be real with. I know i always have my husband and he truly is my best friend but he just cant be all that i need, if you know what i mean, women need other women were just wired that way. I have brought it to my husbands attention that i need some girlfriends! and i ask him does he feel the same ? He says " naw im good, i have you, your my best friend, the kids and Jesus." So with his answer i did, i started to re evaluate my feelings and set them aside i have tried just being content with my family and husband, but like i said no matter how hard i try its just not enough. So of course i have taken the issue to the Lord and this is what He said:

He took me to the time of Mary and Elizabeth.. And reminded me of the time when Mary( a virgin) was pregnant with Jesus and Elizabeth( way too old to bear children) was pregnant with John the Baptist. Mary went on a trip to visit Elizabeth and as i read the passages i could picture it all in my head.

As Mary arrived i could see them both running in excitement to each other with tears of joy running down their faces. Finally there was somebody, somebody who could understand, somebody who could really relate. There was such relief they could be real with each other they didnt have to hide or put up a front , they could just be vulnerable bearing it all. Not feeling judged or misunderstood but just feeling loved and accepted . And as they hugged each other they were in such amazement and begin to laugh with so much joy as they could feel the babies leap in their wombs.

"Wow" is what i said as i came out of that vision/daydream i guess you could call it. Then the Lord began to give me understanding.

Mary and Elizabeth going through similar situations at the same time both strong women of God in need of each other. Just in need of a friendship, a sisterhood where they could let it all out.
Both destined and chosen to give birth to Gods plan, not being understood by those around them. They needed to lean on each other cry with each other they needed each others support. Just as we as the body of Christ ,we as brothers and sister, and we as women need each other.

And then the Lord showed me that for us the babies in the womb represent our dreams, our visions, gifts ,talents, destiny. As we come together as vulnerable people full of love for each other our dreams began to move .And i began to see how important fellowship, friendship, community really is. Not just surface stuff where we have our walls up pretending we have it all together, but i mean the real thing. The kind of relationships where we can cry about the bad, laugh about the good and dream about the future . Where we don't judge and there is just love.

Its A …[Gender reveal ]

On June 20, 2013 At 3:30 pm we had an ultra Sound appointment for the.Gender reveal. We did decide to find Out ..the anticipation was just too much. Then When i really thought about it with My personality,that Likes to plan Ahead ,and two Other small Needy Children, i thought aint Nobody got Time for that.

Anyway i am Proud to announce we will be welcomming on November 9, 2013 Another Beautiful... Baby GIRL!!!! Yaay more Pink ,more bows and Another Little mini me. So excited for our Little princess.

Its Been 5 Weeks since iv blogged and i really wanted to consistantly Post and document this pregnancy Week by Week, but its Just not happining for me so Im not even gonna promise a Weekly Post. I will.Update as frequently as possible .

Well iam 24 Weeks pregnant today! I Just cannot Believe How incredibly Fast This is happining. I am amazed and excited. How have i Been Feeling? Thats the big and Most frequent question these days and the Answers is..Great! I Méan Now that i am in My second ( Almost Third) trimester Things have Been Going smooth. I have tons Of much needed energy and have Been nesting like a mama Bird. Still no Real Cravings and Feeling This Baby dancing in My Belly 24/7. I Bought My Fist Baby buy the cutest Little outfit i couldnt resist and we decided on a Name to be announced later ;)

These Hot Summer days are Flying by but will definitly always be remembered , cherished and loved.

week 18 & 19

Everything is happing so fast I can't keep up. update on the past two weeks; I had a mid wives appointment and everything agent great we got a pic. of our little person which is always exciting. I have been feeling baby move around a lot and my belly is really growing.
Caleb has been rubbing my belly and reasting his head on it. he def knows somebody is in there :)

I bought some maternity clothes although I still fit a lot of my regular clothes. Still.trying to.decide if we are gonna find out the sex or keep.it a surprise. Feeling great for the most part

Week 16 {baby #3}

This week flew by and I must say it was a pretty good week. Energy has finally kicked in and my belly has really started to pop. I am loving the prenatal vitamins that I'm taking this pregnancy their Called prenatal one by rainbow light their all natural and I can really feel a difference in my energy level when I take them. Still having minor break outs and still pretty grumpy and emotional ( poor hubby). Not too much has changed this week feeling good and baby is growing.

week 15 {baby #3}

This week has been a rough one... I have felt very lethargic, lazy, overly tiered and even faint. During my other two pregnancies around this time my body had an iron deficiency and I felt the same way so I started taking iron supplements and trying to eat more foods that have iron in them. Also this week I have been breaking out on my face :( not too bad, but with me having for the most part naturally clear skin one or two zits freaks me out so I have been washing my face like crazy and trying to drink plenty of water.

I felt a faint, but for sure, kick this week so exciting. Love when the baby moves it just reminds me that I am a life carrier and how amazing this whole process is.

I know its been a while and to be honest with you I gave up on blogging.. I mean quiet, alone time in this house is very rare and I didnt really see a point in using it to sit down and blog when there are tons of other more "productive " things i should be doing . Until my husband reminded me that writing is a gift of mine and something that i love to do and by blogging i get to write and improve on my skills and not to mention it makes me happy .. so im back at it :)

Update ; Mimi is 27 months old and is thriving in everything from learning ABC and 123s to learning to share and love people,but we are working really hard on discipline methods and potty training is coming soon..again (looking forward to it, but not looking forward to it)

Big Boy is is 9 months old and is so much fun! He loves to laugh, smile, dance and clap his little hands. I can honestly say that this little boy truly has my heart <3

As for me, being a SAHM of two definitely has had its ups and downs. There have been days I have wanted to throw in the rag and call it quits, but that's pretty much impossible, and there are days where all i want to do is hangout around the house with my babies. I am still learning and am happy to know i always will be. All in all life around here has been quit an adventure with still a long journey ahead!

Blogger i miss you i love you lol well this summer has been.. an interesting one to say the least and i still cant believe it is practically over. Well i wanted to come by and do a quick little update on the kids. We are doing awesome, by the way, despite some not so comfortable circumstances God is always good and my hope and trust is always in him! So on that note Caleb turned 6 months on Monday July 30th he is the happiest healthy little chuncker ( his nickname is bug cause he is my cuddle bug) and it feels like he was just born yesterday for real. Mariah turned 2 July 5th and has been doing wonderful.

I know it has been FOREVER since iv written a blog i have been super busy with our new addition and chasing Mimi around the house, that blogging hasn't even been in my vocabulary. Well to update you a little bit our princess is now 22 months old and will be 2 in July and Big boy is 12 weeks! Time is going by so fast and i am just trying to take everything in. Lately i have constantly been reminded of how blessed i am to be able to be a stay at home mom with a husband who sees the importance of it, just as much if not more, then i do. It doesn't matter the circumstances my husband does what ever it takes for me to get to be the one raising, teaching, nurturing and influencing our children. These last couple of weeks i have kinda been taking staying at home with my kids for granted im not gonna lie its hard and there are times when i say to myself what am i doing putting my dreams on hold? i mean im young i could be out working or going to school and put the kids in day care or just give then to Grama.. But then i just couldn't imagine it, someone else getting to see my daughter go potty on the toilet for the first time? or someone else getting to teach her shapes and colors? or Someone else getting to see my son smile and laugh for the first time. O no i couldn't have that. The Lord has been showing me that all this hard work is paying off and its not in vain! Staying home with my children teaching them, being their main influence, teaching them about God , loving and nurturing them and praying over them. Sowing into their lives and hearts not only will i reap but they will reap and their children will reap and their children's children will reap. What i am sowing now generations will reap!! I have been encouraged Iam anointed for motherhood and its a high calling.

Having two little ones around the house isnt as crazy as I thought it would be. We are adjusting pretty well( minus the whole family being sick with a cold/flu) and im so proud of Mariah and the way she is handling it all. Iv found that just taking my time in doing thing s really helps and its okay for one baby to cry while waiting for me to finish what im doing with the other one. I still havent been out by myself with both of them yet ,im kinda nervous. But all in all this being a mommy of 2 thing, I can handle this.
