I was sent two varieties of Puffins to review, the Multigrain and Honey Rice which are both gluten free.

-Puffins Multigrain are lightly sweetened GF whole grain pure oats, brown rice and corn crunchy pillows.
They also contain natural prebiotic fiber. These were great, we all enjoyed them.

-Puffins Honey Rice are whole grain brown rice pillows with a honey sweetness. To me, these tasted like they have almond extract in it. I liked the little sweetness of these.

I absolutely loved the thinkThin Crunch Coconut Chocolate Mixed Nuts, chocolate, coconut and rice crispies yum! Oh boy!! We were sent these beautiful macaroons from Sucré (French for sugared), a Sweet Boutiques and Confection Studio in New Orleans. They offer a variety of treats from chocolates, caramels, marshmallows, king cakes and more, both at their shops and online. Don't they have the most adorable packaging?

We received the Sucré Signature Macaron Collection, 15 Piece valued at $30. These very delicate French macaron cookies are filled with luscious mousseline. Flavors include: Pecan, Chocolate, Salted Caramel, Almond, Pistachio, Strawberry, Hazelnut, and Bananas Foster.

Even though a few of ours almost didn't make the trip, they were still delicious and loved no matter what. We all loved them. My favorite flavor was the pecan, the white dark speckled one under the yellow there. These are also gluten free, so yay!

not sure the color of mine, but I love it

I was sent this Farberware Triple Pack for a review. I love me some new pans! These pans are lightweight and on the more shallower side (their walls are not really tall) and so far they've been great. They've held up in the dishwasher just find as well. They do not come with lids, but that's ok, if you have other pots and pan lids, they'll fit. I was thinking these would be great to keep in our toy hauler for nights we spend at the track, when we want to cook breakfast in the morning, but maybe my older ones will go in there. ha.

Lately I've been cooking myself a few eggs in the morning and I love using the small 8" pans for them and cooking up a little potato hash. The larger sizes were great for dinner items as well.

I was able to choose and review this beautiful Floral Vine Etched Hummingbird Feeder. I've always wanted a red glass feeder for my backyard so I chose this one. I love it! It a mouth-blown recycled glass feeder from Mexico. It's a nice heavy sturdy piece and comes in the red, green or aqua colors. I love the etched design of vines and hummingbirds on it. It comes with an S hook ready for hanging (though I have a larger one I used for mine), it's 4" x 12" H.

I was excited to use this, as I already have a few hummingbirds that come to my regular feeder, so when I hung this up with fresh homemade food (see below), I was a little sad that they took no interest in it. So I hung my other one back up and have this still hanging there should they change their mindsl. It is pretty to look at though. I just have picky birds I guess.

Homemade Hummingbird Food
2 cups water
1/2 cup sugar

Combine all in a small saucepan, heat over medium heat until it boils and the sugar is just dissolved. Remove from heat, allow to cool before adding to feeder. Refill as needed, about once a week. If feeder starts to grow mold, wash out and use new food.

Let's make some breakfast!

For breakfast I made four different recipes with Eggland's Best eggs. Cute little macaroni shapes!

We were sent a case of six of their many selection of snacks. They included Baked Fries in Cheddar Cheese and Bold Buffalo, Cheese Puffs in Grilled Cheese and Mac n' Cheese and Eat Your Vegetables snacks in Sour Cream and Onion and Sea Salt flavors. We all loved them and were great for after school snacks as well as for the lunch boxes. The flavors were great, the snacks were crunchy and the styles/shapes are fun.

The Everything Guide to Living Gluten-Free by Jeanine Friesen: Giveaway and Review

I was so happy to be asked to review The Everything Guide to Living Gluten-Free by Jeanine Friesen, she's also the blogger of The Baking Beauties. I have been a fan of her blog so getting to review her book is a treat! I remember when I realized I think I might be Celiac (or those were my symptoms anyways and no I have not had an official Dr. diagnoses of it.) feeling so lost in the gluten free world. I read everything online about this new eating lifestyle I'd have to do if I didn't want to feel so horrible anymore. This book has everything covered if you are new to the gluten free lifestyle of eating. It's a must read, and wish I had it when I started eating gluten free. It can all be confusing and over whelming at first and I think she covered it all so well.

In Jeanine's book The Everything Guide to Living Gluten-free, you will find:
- an understanding of what gluten is, where it is found, and why it is harmful to so many people today.
- why a gluten-free diet helps those with celiac disease, as well other symptoms that can be alleviated by a gluten-free diet.
- how to read labels, set up your gluten-free kitchen, and avoid cross contamination.
- tips on how to travels and eat out while maintaining your gluten-free diet.
- how to be an advocate for your child at school, with their friend’s, and other family members.

Also in this book are 100 gluten free recipes as well as information for gluten-free vegans and vegetarians. If you are gluten free or know someone who needs to be, what a great giveaway this is!

Mmm, fresh warm crepes!

Some of the recipes I have marked from the ebook I am reviewing are:
-crepes
-pumpkin muffins
-corn bread muffins
-pumpkin snickerdoodles

I reviewed her gluten free crepes recipe, my oldest has been asking for them so this was a wonderful time.

Her crepe recipe includes:
brown rice flour
potato startch
tapioca startch
xanthan gum
granulated sugar
baking powder
salt
milk
eggs
oil (I used butter)
vanilla

After mixing the batter, heat small-medium skillet with a little spray/butter. I used a 1/4 cup scoop of batter (the recipe says to use 3/4 c) and swirled it in the pan covering the entire bottom. They cook quickly so once golden flip the crepe over and cook until that side is done. Layer cooked crepes between sheets of wax paper. May be chilled for later use. I was able to get about 13-14 crepes in a single batch (I did double this because it did not say how many it makes, just that a single batch serves 4). I have blogged about regular crepes before, see my post for that recipe and technique if you do not need to be GF.

Cream Filling:
1 c light sour cream
1 8oz pkg. light cream cheese, softened
1 c powdered sugar

Combine all and keep chilled until ready to serve.
Add a little filling to the middle of the crepe, add berries, roll up and garnish as desired. Enjoy!

These crepes are wonderful!! I love the smell of them as they're baking, and being gluten free, the batter and cooked crepe was so easy to work with! They held up beautifully even being chilled in the fridge for another treat the next day!

For my review I chose to get a Potted Fragrant Gardenia for the yard. This plant is 12-14" tall and arrives ready to bloom in 3-4 days, they say. It can be kept indoors in a sunny area or outside in mild climates. I chose the free natural woven 6” diameter basket for decoration. What I liked about the shipping of ProFlowers, you can choose the days it arrives. Anywhere from say tomorrow to weeks away.

My gardenia plant arrived quickly, safely, nicely packed and protected. The plant came with damp spanish moss to keep the plant moist, otherwise there was no plant care instructions included other than the paper that said to remove the moss. So I hope I can keep this little beauty going. My blooms are taking much longer than they say to bloom. Once they bloom, be sure to watch my Instagram as I'll share them there.
