Mother's Day is this weekend, which always turns my brain to Father's Day. I love finding the "perfect" gift for all occasions, and spend months thinking about what would be great. After nearly seven years together, we've given each other quite a few gifts. I think at this point, we really have realized that the best gift is getting to spend time with each other. With two small children, alone time doesn't happen often. So making our marriage a priority is a critical decision to make.

I'm a huge fan of chocolate so when I was offered to review Baci White Chocolate, I couldn't say no, even though I'd never heard of them before.

Baci, is an authentic Italian chocolate, made by Perugina, a legendary Italian chocolatier. Baci White is Perugina's newest confection!

Baci Whites have a gianduia center, a sensuous whipped chocolate filling blended with finely chopped hazelnuts, that is crowned by a crunchy whole hazelnut and enrobed in creamy, smooth white chocolate. Baci confections include a special message of love tucked into each foil wrapper.

I was sent a bag of Baci White to review. The candy was extremely rich and smooth. They tasted great, but were a little too sweet for me. My husband on the other hand LOVED them! I can't believe there's only 2.5 months until summer. My oldest will be going into the 5th grade and it will be his last year in elementary school. He makes me so very proud. I haven't been around lately. I guess that's what work and 2 small children will do to you. Busy, busy. But I'm here, and I'm excited to share The Posh Pea Boutique with you today. This is an Etsy shop with the cutest baby products you can find. You can find burp cloths, bibs, and blankets in the most fun, modern fabrics that are out there. While I was browsing the shop, each set was cuter than the one before. I don't even have a "baby" anymore, and I was drooling over everything in sight.

Catherin from The Posh Pea Boutique was sweet enough to send me a burp cloth set in Yellow Chevron & Giraffes. How cute are these? Let me tell you, they are even cute in person. Chevrons are so "in" right now, and those giraffes just kill me. If you're going to get puked on, you might as well look cute doing it. ;) The quality is great. The burp cloths are made with high quality, 100% cotton designer fabric and backed in super soft, absorbent, white chenille. They even have a coordinating ribbon loop, perfect for attaching to diaper bag or stroller. I also love the contoured shape for shoulder placement. So awesome. Hello! Hello! Hello!

After a few months of missing in action, I'm back! I recently had a beautiful baby girl and have gotten pretty busy with 3 kids. Life is a little chaotic right now, but we're so in love with our baby girl.

My little Ms. Ariel

I can't believe how much fun it is to have a girl. After having two boys, I'm so thrilled see pink everywhere! I'm constantly on the hunt for the cutest dresses and shoes. I'm so glad God blessed me with a daughter!

Max is super into games right now - he will sit and do the same puzzle over and over and over, and really loves the games that Daddy or I will play with him. He's getting to the age where he's really competitive about it too, which can be funny. I really love sitting down and spending time with him doing these fun activities.

I was recently given the opportunity to try the Giant Family Fun Seek & Find book. This book is huge, and there are page after page of fun scenes with lists of objects to find. I really like that there is a regular list, and a "beginner" list so that Max can "find" items on his own- the list is images, so it doesn't matter that he can't read! The book even comes with a fun magnifying glass.

We are really having fun as a family trying to see who can find the items the quickest!

Snapfish Review

I am a photo junkie. I take pictures like there is no tomorrow. Seriously, my camera is permanently out on the side table next to me on the couch, an arm's length away so I never miss a moment. I am totally *that* mom, but I don't care. I'm pretty organized with my pictures, I upload them to my computer weekly, and keep folders by month and year. And I'm good about uploading them onto Facebook to share with my family and friends, but that's where it stops. I'm terrible about getting them printed and displayed. I try to get them uploaded to an online site, but I just never have the money to print that many pictures out, and I certainly don't have time to get them all into albums. It's on my to-do list though.

Every now and then, I do try to get a family picture or two made for my wall or desk. I recently had the opportunity to try out snapfish, and it timed out perfectly with our family pictures. Snapfish had so many different options of products that I really had a difficult time choosing what I wanted. Literally, I spent hours going back and forth. I liked the price option of photo books, and they had some really cute themes to choose from.

My first choice was a canvas print of my favorite shot of the kids. I have a canvas of the kids from shortly after Caroline was born, and I love the way it looks on my wall, and I get so many compliments on it, that I knew I needed another one. I liked the different options, and I picked a simple 16x16, gallery wrapped canvas. The uploading feature was super easy and shipping was super quick. My canvas came in and it's super awesome. It fits perfectly in my house, and I'm already getting more compliments. Honestly, I just can't think of another way of printing a picture that gives me more warm fuzzies than a large canvas. Seriously, if you don't have one in your house, do it now.

I also decided that I needed something for my office. I started my job in August, so there are not too many personal touches yet. I decided on a framed print of the same picture (it's my favorite!!) and a collage mug of all my favorite shots. I love seeing my babies at work all day, and it makes me so happy. The frame is a nice touch to my window ledge, but the mug is extra big (for more coffee!) and it's totally my style. Creating the mug was easy - I just picked the pictures I wanted, and it automatically put them in the grid for me. I picked the background color I thought complimented the pictures the best, and decided against adding any text. I think it would be nice if you could put the pictures where you wanted, but that wasn't an option. I just kept randomizing until I was happy with it.

I couldn't be happier with my products, and the prices were completely comparable to any of the other photo websites out there. I love doing personal, photo gifts for Christmas, and if you are thinking about doing something similar, I would highly recommend checking out snapfish! I'm thinking personalized calendars for the grandparents would be a huge hit!

Max is really into reading these days. He will "read" book after book after book, and our bedtime routine would go all night if we let him. He has his favorites, of course, (specifically Where the Wild Things Are, since the character shares his name), but he's really not much of a book snob. This makes me so happy, because I was a big reader as a kid, and I just know that it will help him when he gets into school if he loves to read.

Do you remember those Scholastic book order sheets that you used to get in elementary school as a kid? Where you would BEG your parents to let you buy one or two? They still do those! I actually received some in Caroline's outbox at daycare last month.

I recently learned that Scholastic and Kellogg's have partnered with Walmart to offer free books to kids. With the purchase of specially marked Kellogg’s products at Walmart stores, parents can redeem a coupon for a free Scholastic book of their child’s choice. How awesome is that??

Lately I've been hearing about all the great benefits of Argan Oil. People are raving about how great it is for your hair and skin. This really caught my interest, since having my son my skin has become really dry. Plus I'm always looking for great products for my hair! When I was asked to review some products from Cleopatra's Choice, I just knew I had to try the Pure Argan Oil for Hair and Skin. It has 4.5 stars out of 5 and the reviews are very high. People love it!

I've been using the Argan Oil on my hair and skin. I wear flip flops every day and my feet were extremely dry, so I started using it on my feet too. I've been applying it daily after showers and my skin is much more softer. My feet look great too, no more dry skin! One of the great things about this product is how long it lasts. You only need to use a little bit and the bottle is quite large. I'm so glad I got a chance to try it out!

Another product I reviewed was Adovia Dead Sea Minerals Eye Gel. I don't have wrinkles yet, but I'm starting to notice small tiny lines under my eyes. The eye gel is very light and not too greasy, which I like. It leaves my skin feeling very soft. I've only been using it for about a week now, so I can't really say I see any results, but it also has really great reviews! It has 4.5 stars out of 5. My favorite thing about the eye gel is it's fragrant free! I can't stand heavy eye gels that have strong a strong fragrance, they usually end up burning my eyes.

Anytime Costumes Review

It's that time of year again!! I love Halloween, and have since I was little. Really, though, what's not to love? Getting dressed up in crazy outfits and candy! My favorite costume when I was little was a punk rocker. I used to be cool. ;) In college, I remember how the costumes got a little sexier...

Now that I'm a mom, costumes are back to G-rated! Max is at the age where he kind-of has an opinion about what he wants to dress up as. Boo! But lucky for this mama, Caroline is that prime age, where she's old enough to trick-or-treat, but I get the costume pick and candy! Yes! I've been checking out new costumes for 2012 since mid-summer.

I had the opportunity to check out Anytime Costumes and pick one out for Caroline. I loved this little bumblebee costume, and when it arrived on my doorstep, I couldn't wait to see it in action. Oh my goodness, I died from the cute. Look at my little bug! The wings! The antennae! THAT STINGER! Gah!!! Not only is it fracking adorable, but I love that the costume is comfy for a 1 year old, and will definitely keep her warm if the weather gets too cool.

Now, all I need to do is convince Max that he really wants to dress up as a bee keeper...

A new school year has started and I'm the proud mommy of a very smart and handsome 4th grader. I still can't believe my son is in the 4th grade, he's growing up so fast. As much fun as it is to watch him grow and learn, I feel a little sad that he can't stay small forever. I'm not sure I've explained my ~~obsession~~ love of hairbows and headbands for my daughter, Caroline. But as much as I love those, I'm a real sucker for hats. Especially ones with ears, for the love of Pete. Ears. On my baby's head.

KnitBabies.com sent Caroline this "Lamb Chop" hat, and it kills me. This is the best picture I could get, because Caroline is too quick. I love that it has the long tails - makes it harder for little hands to rip off. I love the long sides, which are perfect for keeping her ears warm this winter. Max had an animal hat once, but the ears never stayed up, but the ears on this (super soft!!) hat are perfect. KnitBabies has tons of super cute hat options that would be perfect for photo props (owls! hippo!). They are just too sweet!

Hoover WindTunnel Air Vacuum Review!

A few weeks ago I was chosen to review the WindTunnel Air Vacuum. I was so excited, because I've never owned a Hoover vacuum before. I was expecting the best from Hoover and I was not disappointed.

I received the WindTunnel vacuum and I loved it. One of my favorite things about the WindTunnel is its size. It’s compact, lightweight, and the design is attractive.

My husband and I were extremely impressed with the suction of the WindTunnel. We vacuumed the living room, bedroom, and family room and were shocked to see how much dust/dirt the WindTunnel picked up. My husband was really liked the bottom release dirt cup. Unlike most bagless vacuums where you have to remove the filter and dump the cup, the WindTunnel has a button that releases the dirt from the bottom. No more dirty hands!

I really liked the deep recline of the vacuum, it makes it easier to vacuum under beds and other furniture. The handle of the vacuum is also a built in wand, which detaches, it's very easy to use. The vacuum has a very very long cord, which is also nice.

My husband and I really love the WindTunnel and would recommend this vacuum to others!

George Foreman Grill Review and Recipe!

I've been a fan of the George Foreman Grill for many many years. We bought one about 4 years ago and it still works great. It's so easy to make burgers and grill chicken, and I love that it removes the fat out of the meat.

Recently I was chosen to review the George Foreman Removable-Plate Grill. I was excited to review this grill because the plates come off, making clean up easier. The George Foreman Removable-Plate Grill has a non-stick coating which eliminates the need for oil or butter, and just like the original George Foreman grill, it removes the fat. Having the removable plates is a huge plus! With my older grill I would have to clean it up right away or the food would harden and get stuck, but with this grill I can let the plates soak in hot water. It's so much easier to clean!

As part of my review I was asked to include an original recipe using the grill. I created the:

"Crispy Doritos Chicken Strips."

Ingredients:

Doritos Taco Flavor Chips
Salt
Pepper
Egg
Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts
Panko Bread Crumbs (not pictured)

Preparation:

Finely crush the Doritos Taco Flavor chips. About a cup of crushed chips will do, although you may need more if you plan to make a lot of chicken. It's a good idea to crush them in a food processor, but you can also do it by hand. Mix a half a cup of Panko bread crumbs into the crushed chips.

Wrap chicken breasts in plastic wrap and pound them until they are about half an inch thick. Once they have been pounded, slice the breasts into strips. Season them with salt and pepper.

Turn on the grill so that it will be hot and ready before cooking. Dip the chicken strips into the egg, then dip them into the Doritios/Panko bread crumb mix and put them on the George Foreman Grill. Leave them on for approximately 10 minutes. Cooking time will vary depending on the thickness of the chicken strips.

Enjoy the chicken strips with your favorite dipping sauce!

Basically, Rendi helps you DIY without actually having to do it yourself. You choose the item you like, and in the design page, you can completely customize your sign or frame to what fits YOU. I think these would be an awesome personalized gift.

I was given the opportunity to try out the design process, and I picked out the Pure Cottage Classic Sign I changed the saying to this one, after a lot of playing with different ideas. I loved that it was completely customizable - you could edit all the texts, change the colors and pick your fonts. There is even a quote library to give you ideas. I love, love, LOVE how the sign turned out. It came super fast, and the quality is amazing. It came ready to hang, and I think it looks great on our main wall. And I think that because it's "MY" work, that I love it extra.

My husband and I are excited to announce we are expecting our 3rd child!! So far my pregnancy has been pretty easy. Of course being pregnant means needing a new wardrobe! Skindinavia Review

Where I live in California, summers get really hot. Most summer days are in the 100's and we feel like we're melting. It isn't easy being a girl in the summer, especially when you have to blow dry your hair and put on makeup. Going out in the heat leaves my hair frizzy and makes my makeup melt and look shiny.

I was recently asked to review Skindinavia, a makeup finish. You spray it on to set your makeup and it prevents it from coming off, so you won't need any touch ups. I've never used a makeup finish before, so I definetely wanted to try it.

Using Skindinavia is super easy. You apply it after putting on your makeup but before using mascara. Spray 2-4 times in an "X" and "T" formation. It's a light mist and it didn't smudge or mess up my makeup. I like that there wasn't a scent.

I tested Skindinavia on a day when I had to run errands in the heat and be at a friends party later in the evening. I knew I wouldn't have time to fix my makeup before the party so I was counting on Skindinavia to work. I didn't leave my friends party until after 11 pm and all of my makeup was still on and in place! I wish I would have taken a picture but I was so busy I forgot. I didn't need to reapply any foundation and my makeup didn't look shiny. Skindinavia works great! It really did keep my makeup on for hours.
