I am seeking sponsorship in every form, from clothing to tote bags, to a full sponsorship where I can represent your company exclusively! There are a few options to choose from and everything is negotiable.

• $50 sponsorship – I will add hand out business cards at the convention.
• $100 sponsorship – The above as well as write a post about your business, and advertising on my blog for 1 month
• $250 sponsorship – All of the above as well as a live blog posts from the event, plus wear any company logo clothing and handle out samples (if applicable)
• $350 sponsorship – All of the above as well as live Tweeting about your company from the event…possibly doing giveaways live on twitter ~2,381 followers
• $500 sponsorship – All of the above plus advertising on my blog for 1 year, and tweeting before and after the convention.
• $800 Full Sponsorship - Exclusive sponsorship to one company, all of the above plus any additional requests.

I am also looking to help promote clothing, a tote bag, camera, and any other BlogHer necessities. I will make sure your products are prominently displayed and get the word out to ever BlogHer attendee I come in contact with…you will not be disappointed!

There is a lot of jealousy that goes on in the mom blogging community and it seems it is never really talked about, but you know it exists.

Lately, I can’t help but to be feel this way myself. It seems every time I turn around there is a new blogger with a sponsor, an invite to an exclusive BlogHer party, (Hello Nikon, Tide, E.L.F, Quaker) or the ever so coveted mom blogger trips.

The most recent trips I have found out about (and wasn’t invited to) were the KMART/Sears Home Design Summit, Sara Lee Conference, IRobot, The General Mills Eat and Greet, and the TJ Maxx/Marshalls event. I know there are others, and there are bloggers who are going to 2 or more of these events. WTH? Why are they picking from the same blogger pool?

Am I envious? Absolutely. As mom bloggers we don’t get paid to blog. I started doing a few social spark paid posts but really that is just pennies compared to the time I commit to blogging. As moms we like to feel rewarded for our efforts and these events are just that. Its nice to feel like a real person for a day or 2 and get to fly on a plane and travel somewhere other than to Walmart or the grocery store. To sleep on a bed uninterpreted and to socialize with other moms who are exactly like us. Obviously, not every blogger can attend every event, but I am sure everyone has noticed (for the most part) many of the same bloggers are getting the opportunities over and over again. I absolutely hate the excuse that some give as to why they get these trips- because their so “influential”. Where is the eye rolling icon?

Well let me tell you, any mom blogger can be “influential” if given the opportunity. I mean really, I know for a fact that the traffic that some of these bloggers receive is skewed. If your giving away a $500+ item on your blog of course your going to have 10x the traffic as a blogger without giveaways. But you know, I question how many people are actually staying and reading some of these blogs.

Alexa is my biggest enemy because none of my readers apparently have the Alexa toolbar installed on their browsers. You know why? Because normal moms who read blogs don’t have that stupid app installed. Only fairly techy people who even care about Alexa and its ratings have it. Not my demographic.

Of course I am not raving over my traffic because there is always room for improvement, but I do monitor my stats and 75% are from organic searches on Google and 25% loyal readers. I am happy with that. People come to my site because I have something to offer, and it is usually not a giveaway. *I do giveaways, but the majority of my readers are not here for those.

I have been blogging for nearly 5 years. It is sometimes hard to see newbie bloggers get perks when they have been blogging for less than a year. At the same time I say this I am not meaning to knock new bloggers. We all had to start somewhere. I suppose its like anything else in life- it is who you know and who you made connections with. Apparently I am not making the right connections.

Yes, right now I am bitter and I will get over it. I am paying my own way to BlogHer because I genuinely want to meet all the other bloggers I read and follow. This is the first time I have been on a plane in nearly 8 years (and I’m scared out of my mind). But right now I am doing it out of pocket because I am committed to blogging and building my own little brand.

I suppose my day will come if I just keep doing what I’m doing. I have been blessed this past year with a few events from Disney (that I am TRULY grateful for) and hope to continue to work with them because Disney is a passion of mine. But sometime it would be nice to get asked to go on a special trip that requires a plane ride and an overnight stay.

Blogging is what I do and I will continue to do so whether I get the perks or not. All I am saying is it is nice to feel “wanted” and “appreciated” and I wish that PR would dig a little deeper to find some other “influential” mom bloggers.

I went on a virtual shopping spree at Armani Exchange and found 3 great pairs of jeans which I LOVE.

After our tour of Bay Lake Towers we made our way to the Treehouse Villas at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort. Saratoga Springs and the Treehouse Villas are Disney Vacation Club Resorts.

Like Bay Lake Towers and the other DVC resorts, the Treehouse Villas can be booked by non DVC members.

There are only 60 villas in the Treehouse section so these are ones you want to book early.

The Treehouse Villas can accommodate up to 9 people, and in my opinion are one of the best values if you want everyone staying together in 1 suite. The villas start at $545 a night during value season, that’s about $60 a person per night if you are splitting the cost between families.

The Treehouse Villas are considered Deluxe accomadations.

I visited the Treehouse Villas earlier in the year before they were furnished. It was neat to come back and see them fully furnished. The Treehouses really came to life with the decor, which has an outdoors-y, log cabin feel. Very warm and cozy.

There are 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms in the suite with a full kitchen.

2 queen bedrooms, and a bunkbed room. The couch in the livingtoom also pulls out to a queen sleeper sofa.

Overall I was really impressed with the Treehouse Villas and this would be a great place to stay with extended family. The Villas have their own pool and bus service as well.

A few weeks ago a big box of Little Debbie 100 Calorie Snacks arrived on my doorstep.  I knew there were Little Debbie’s inside because the box had a giant picture of Little Debbie herself right on the front.

I wish I had this box to show you, but my husband threw it away! BUT you can win 1 of 3 boxes of 100 calorie Little Debbie snack cakes (just like mine) containing 2 boxes each of (new) Lemon, (new) Cookies & Creme, Chocolate, and Yellow cake. All were equally delicious, but the Cookies & Creme and Chocolate were the first to go in our house.

I love the 100 calorie concept and for someone like me who tries to watch her calories it is a great way to enjoy a treat. HOWEVER for those moments when you have no willpower, just 1 cake will not do. You might end up eating the whole box, which would be 600 calories! The first stop on a tour was Disney’s Bay Lake Towers.

Bay Lake Towers is Disney’s newest Vacation Club (DVC). Rooms are also available to rent even if you are not a DVC member.

Today we looked at the 3 bedroom Grand Villa, which was nothing short of AMAZING!

From the moment you step into the lobby, you know this resort is not like any other on Disney property.

Everything is very upscale, clean, and modern. To me this is the deluxe of all Disney deluxe resorts. You can’t get better than this as far as location and view.

The fountain has some of the first buyers of Bay Lake Towers plated on the sides.

Zero entry Bay Cove Pool with water slide, spa, and kid’s zone.

Now for the Grand Villa! The Grand Villa has 3 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, and 4 balconies with a full kitchen and dining area. This suite can accommodate up to 12 people and runs in the range of $2000 a night. For me this would be one of those once in a lifetimes stays with 11 friends splitting the cost.

Bay Lake Towers also has more economical rooms such as the studios which sleep 4. The cost per night on these is in line with the other Deluxe Disney Resorts.

Check out this view! At night you can turn your TV on to a special channel, and the wishes music is piped into your room.

At the very top of Bay Lake Towers is the exclusive Top of the World Lounge, only available to current guests and DVC members.

You can currently book Bay Lake Towers now, but the official opening date is not until August 4th, 2009.
