Thrown over for Zombies!!!

Throwin' over for the Walking Dead.
Last night I had Sara in her walker in the living room with her daddy. I went to our room and was cleaning and putting clothes away. A little bit later, I walk in the living room and in the sweetest clear little voice you can hear 6 1/2 month old Sara saying "da da da da da" Steve was so tickled with her. I pick her up and get something on my hand. "OMG!!! She has....POOP coming out of her diaper!!!" I take the diaper off and she has poo pasted all over her butt!! I hollar at Steve to go back to the bedroom and get the wipes off the changing table, I look up in my time of need and he is panicking because the Walking Dead Premiere is on and the satellite went wonky. I flew past him with a baby covered in poo paste on her bottom to get the baby wipes. I get most of it off over the trashcan. OMG its not helping she needs a shower!!! BAD!!! I take her in the bathroom...NO HOT WATER?!?!? You have to be kidding me??? Oldest daughter needed to use every drop of hot water....so I gave Sara to da da while we waited for the hot water, no diaper, secretly hoping she peed on him lol He said "I didn't know she pooped she was being so cute saying "da da" as clear as a bell" I said "That was her call for help 'I pooped!!!' Steve said " I didn't know...she wasn't crying"

Lessons learned about life on the farm and redneck fishin

We bought a farm that is about 300 ft off the road and I LOVE it here!!!! We now have 1 billy goat, 4 nannie goats and 8 adorable goat kids, 2 Peking ducks (which my husband hates lol), about 20 baby chicks, 2 dogs and a cat.

The weather is starting to finally warm up and I can get out and start gardening and go for walks in the woods. I have some awesome neighbors and enjoy talking with them about getting back to living off the land and things to do to save money and gardening. We went out walking in nature this weekend and it is so nice to have friends on the same page and we can learn a lot from each other.

I want to start sharing some of the things I learned recently
1. ducks and meat chickens stink and produce a LOT of manure lol

I took the kids redneck fishing tonight to help restock our pond, meaning....sticks with fishing line, bobbers, and a fishing hook with a real worm on it. I know some basics of fishing and I mean basic. My 5 year old daughter and my 10 year old son didn't listen to me when I told them they needed to move away from each other and ended up with their fishing lines, hooks and bobbers in a giant knot so needless to say they were done because we didn't have anything extra with us. Some how I ended up with my own fishing hook in my pants leg and my youngest Lacey knocked over the worms while I was trying to get the hook out. I did manage to catch 2 blue gill once I was able to get the hook out.
My 16 year old brother was getting aggravated because he had a regular fishing pole and wasn't catching anything and we were using sticks and catching fish. We soon realized it was because he was using a hook with a fake worm. He converted to real worms and caught the first large-mouth bass and a blue gill.

My oldest daughter Sheridan was so thrilled with herself that she was able to use a stick to catch fish and that she didn't have to have a high tech new fangled fishin pole to do it lol. She caught 5 fish tonight in about an hour. She was the winner!!! We caught 9 fish total (7 blue gill and 2 large-mouth bass and lost one blue gill adding water to our bucket of fish. So we ended up with 8. By the time we got home we had 2 more fish that were dying (trying not to feel bad...circle of life right, feeding something else a good dinner). Well upon talking to my husband, even though we were only fishing for about an hour you should change the water every few minutes or keep them in a fish basket in the water until its time to leave so they don't run out of oxygen...lesson learned. But it didn't help that 1/2 their water flopped out on their 3 mile ride home to their new pond. All in all we have a very fun and enjoyable fishing experience.
The lesson for tonight was for my kids to realize that they don't have to have all new things from the store to survive. Stores weren't always around and in their life if they needed to they could very cheaply feed themselves. They also learned to put a worm on the hook and take off a fish when they catch it. I learned a few good lessons myself tonight.
1. Never get a fishing hook to close to sweat pants without a knife or a lighter
2. Do not let a 5 year old and a 10 year old fish together
3. Keep and eye on your worms
4. How to take my fish of the hook
5. Use a fish basket in the water
6. Always have extra fishing line, hooks and bobbers

I love my country life!!!

I am going to share with the world some of the good ole forgotten ways of life with this blog. I feel like we as people have become really brainless almost, not all of us, you know the ones I am talking about and they are everywhere any more.
I hear all this stuff about a "Zombie Apocalypse" there are people that truly believe that it is going to happen. I joke and say we are already in the Zombie Apocalypse, it is a disease called "Stupidity" it is spreading like wildfire so beware I think it is contagious!!!
In all honesty we have become herd followers, we depend on other people to tell us what to do or what is best for us and our life. It amazes me that most of us live in the USA (home of the free ha ha) we have more access to information that most other countries in the world yet we are turning into one of the poorest, uneducated and sickest countries in the world. Why? Because we blindly believe what we are told. That person is a professional .. doctors for example we believe them because they are an educated doctor so they know how to help me....right? Well guess what people....DOCTORS are not GODS, they don't have all the answers. I heard it said once that if doctors where right 50% of the time they would be perfect. They know what they have been taught, that is it!! I am not saying I am anti-doctor I do believe there is a place for doctors for the right reasons. I am not saying that I have all the answers....But guess what? I know that I have a brain and that if something doesn't sound right or feel right I am not going to do it. Is there a cure for cancer? Many of you will say NO!!! But the answers is YES!!! Many!!! Do the research its out there. I can't tell you a drink of water will cure your thirst without the risk of being thrown in jail. So I won't. But guess what we are being poisoned everyday by the food and drugs we are choosing to put in our mouths every day in the name for making a buck. If we would all be cured of ailments naturally the big drug companies don't make any money. I could go on and on but I will just leave you with this...you are beautiful, smart people and it is time to start doing research of your own. If you don't watch out for the well-being of yourself and your family, nobody else is going to. If it doesn't sound right or feel right...there is a reason for that, dig up all the info you can before jumping in head first.

Wholesale Vitamin Supplements Product Quality Natures Sunshine Products It occured to me after talking to some friends the other day that most people don't understand the importance of taking suppliments or if they do why they should NOT buy them from Walmart or the grocery store. Retail stores don't care what they sell you...They can package low quality and fillers and sell it to you cheap as possbile and you buy it because you don't know any better. Children's Health Natures Sunshine Products

I wanted to share Nature's Sunshine with everyone because it has helped us so much but, right now I wanna talk about the Children's Vitamins. I was very concerned about my kids getting the nutrients they need. I don't know about you but I have 3 kids; ages 3, 8 & 9 and they are very picky eaters. With the Nature's Sunshine Heroes Vitamins my kids beg everyday to have their vitamins, I know that sounds crazy but they ask every morning and they fight over who gets them first. My 3 year old cries because she wants more after she already ate hers. She says "Please Momma I want more!!" with her sad little face looking at me. I have to explain to her that she already had hers for today.
Before I knew better I bought my kids vitamins at Walmart and they NEVER wanted to take them and I later found out that the vitamins you get at the store are filled with fillers and not much vitamins
