Fantastic fit!

It's not that thick. It seems thick when you hold it in your hand, but it's actually fairly trim!

Emerson is on the tightest waist setting and the second rise setting. This diaper is an amazing fit!

It's all mesh inside so this cover could easily be used as a swim diaper as well, but chlorine can affect PUL and Elastic, so I'd recommend it for a pool in your backyard or sprinkler play!

The insert is Bamboo Fleece and Hemp French Terry! Then the moisture wicking mesh on top!

Since it's an AI2 it's easy to buy a few of these inserts or you can just lay a prefold in and get a second use out of the adorable cover! And it is adorable!!! She makes diapers all one print/color, or this duo OR she can do scrappy's that are squares or stripes of random fabric pieces.

The diaper washes clean every time. I usually don't snap the insert together. It makes it easier for me. I just trifold it, snap it in the back and put it on him. But I just love this diaper. It's SUPER absorbent, like think he can go 12 hours at night and still have it be only half wet and he's a super soaker! It also doesn't leak at night because it's not totally soaked.

This diaper is super cute. I love the cars and the orange. It's just wonderful. The fit is perfect and I just love it.

I love makeup. I have an entire drawer storage tower FULL of makeup products. I have one drawer for eye shadow, one for face products, one for nail and one for unopened products. That drawer is the fullest unfortunately!!!

I was very fortunate to receive some wonderful eye shadows from BFTE Cosmetics. I received a Get The Look Mini Collection in Two Faced Duo Tones. I also got a sample

The Mini Collection came in it's own little container. One of them was open, but luckily it was sealed with a plastic sealer.

The 3 colors. From left to right
Beautiful- Gold that Shifts to pink

Riddle- Golden Bronze that shifts to green with hints of red

Dew Drop- Pinkish purple that shifts to greenish gold

And a sample of Elegant which is a clean clear sky blue!

I've never been good at getting those beautiful looks on the eyes. I'm a 1-2 color person. I still haven't been able to pull it off well, I don't know if I'm using the wrong brushes or what. But I love all these colors and they're all gorgeous even on their own.

I love these mini collections, for those that can do eyes like this it's perfect!

The eye shadows glide on smoothly, they are very nicely pigmented. They go on nice and colorful the first time. No need for a second or third layer, although they do layer on nicely!

BFTE stands for Beauty From the Earth! It's a gorgeous name! They have over 400 colors of eye shadow! You'll never be bored with your eyes again, that's for sure!!

I'd love to try out Meteor Shower

Lunette and Diva Cup Review & Giveaway Comparison

Now that we're past that!!

Lunette and Diva Cup both generously sent me a cup for review purposes! I already was using mama cloth, so this was the next step I wanted to try and I'm so glad I did!!

The Lunette

I received the Selene, which is a really nice blue color!

And the Diva Cup

As you can see they both came with a bag that is used to storage and they both came with really detailed instructions.

I got the size 2 in both of these since I have had children. The size 1 is meant for teenagers and those under 30 who haven't had children and the size 2 is meant for those who have had children OR over the age of 30!

I toyed with the idea of using a cup for a year practically. I was thinking of switching right when I found out I was pregnant with Emerson and then toyed with whether or not I would use one after he was born. I had one period after him and then realized it was time to switch! I got both of these right around the start of my 2nd postpartum period.

They are both different, but both have a lot of the same qualities as well. They are both just about the same size. Both cups hold 1.0 fl oz! The diva cup is a little bit longer in the body which works great if you have a longer canal and your cervix is higher. The stem is shorter on the Diva Cup than it is on the Lunette however.

My first cycle using these cups I definitely preferred the Lunette, the stem was easier to grab for me since it was flat as opposed to the Diva Cup which has a round stem. Plus the stem is longer on the Lunette so it was easier.

The Lunette cup is a bit shorter so if you have a higher cervix it may be harder to reach, although the longer stem makes it easier.

I have no problem with either cup. They are both easy to get in and get out. They both hold what I need them too and they never leak.

I did have the Lunette leak one night when I used it, when I removed it, it wasn't full. I think the problem was I put it in RIGHT before going to bed, so my body wasn't able to pull it into position.

When you put in the cup it is a bit uncomfortable at first. It is sitting low and your body needs to let it settle into position. After about 10 minutes or so this feeling goes away and all is well. So I recommend putting it in 10-15 minutes before going to bed to let it settle and prevent leaks.

Neither stem pokes me, I haven't had to trim either one, although if you need to you can do so with both cups. The stem is trim able, but don't trim too short or you can't get it out!

I like to use the push down fold

Basically you grab the lip and push it down into the cup, similar to the U fold, but you fold it down more so it makes the opening smaller.

It makes it easier to put in.

Make sure you hold the fold until it's well inside you, if you release too early it is VERY uncomfortable... It will shock you and make you jump :) That's your warning!!!

I love both cups, This period, I preferred the Diva Cup. I still think the Lunette's stem is easier to grab, but I've had luck with the Diva this go around.

Just a couple of things... You do not bleed as much as you think you do. TRUST ME!! Before Emerson my period was very light. I would use a regular tampon and change it every 4-6 hours. On my heaviest day a super and change every 4-6 hours.

After him my period was heavier. Not extremely, but that first period I used a super plus tampon and changed every 3 hours or so.

With this cup, I still like to change it every 6-8 hours, but I go 12 at night and the fullest it's ever been was half full after 12 hours, that's .5oz HALF AN OUNCE! They say your entire period is about 1.5oz which is probably accurate! Usually after 6 hours there's probably .2oz in there. Not much at all.

Also I bled for 5 days before. Lately I've been spotting for 2 days, then bleeding for 3 and then spotting for one more. So it's been lasting 6 days, but 3 are spotting, just enough for a liner, not the cup. So it's been wonderful!

Commercial products have so many chemicals in them and they make you bleed heavier and longer, thus making you buy more of their product.

The cup is really wonderful!!! And it's good for YEARS AND YEARS!!

After you're done with your period, you just boil the cup for a few minutes to disinfect it.

It's also cleaner than a tampon! It's not nearly as messy. The only time my hand comes in contact with 'stuff' is when I go to rinse and wash it out. I rinse it really good before introducing my finger though. It's cleaner than a tampon that's for sure! Plus there's no stink like with tampons and pads!! And it's not drying like a tampon either, so you don't get that uncomfortable feeling when pulling out!

To get the cup out you just bear down and push a little until you can grab the stem. Then push a little more as you slowly pull it out. When you can reach the base of the cup STOP PUSHING, squeeze it to break the suction and pull out the rest of the way!! It's really easy.

In a public bathroom, pull it out dump it in the toilet, wipe it out with toilet paper and put it back in until you get home and can clean it!

Super easy!

Little Baby's don't necessarily need shoes, but they're so dang cute on them. So I contacted Mini Toes about a review for this event.

I was very thankful she agreed, because I had fallen in love with the White with Lime Green Running Shoes for Emerson

Elastic at top of foot to hold shoe on!

They are so cute! I got the 0-6 month and they fit Emerson well. A tad bit big, but that's good! I wanted them to last.

Since it's been HOT here we haven't really been wearing these lately, but if it's in the lower 70s he wears these shoes. They're perfect for summer since they're white, but are super adorable!!!!

They are constructed really well. Handmade right in Canada! The upper is leather and the sole is suede. The suede is slightly grippy so baby's won't fall very easily! The suede is also breathable, so this isn't a very constricting shoe.

She has some other wonderful shoes!

Shoes are from sizes 0-6 month to 18-24 month!

Price: Each shoe is $35! This is reasonable, they are handmade and I'm sure have a great resale value if kept in good condition!

I asked him to include the Bamboo insert because Microfiber can get stinky. I'm so glad he did. I usually stuff the pocket with a microfiber and a bamboo. The bamboo is a lot thinner than the microfiber, but it's so much more absorbent!

Over night we usually use a fitted with a cover for better protection. A boy belly sleeper causes lots of leaks out the front. But with the microfiber AND bamboo insert, Emerson doesn't leak at all. Usually I change his diaper after about 8 hours at night, but I put this one to the test, I used it the full 11 hours and he STILL didn't leak. It was definitely saturated, but not enough to leak!! I was so happy about that.

This diaper really is no different than the Alva baby's and GoGreens. It's basically the same diaper, but it's a good diaper and I love it. I have a few of these diapers (different brands) in my stash and I love them all. They're all slightly different, but all perform the same.

I don't like that there aren't any crossover snaps. Obviously we don't need them but since Emerson is 14.5 pounds and is only one snap away from being the tightest, I know an 8-9 pound baby would need the crossovers. Especially considering Emerson's belly is skinny.

I do love the diaper though and it comes at a great price of $11.99. All of their diapers are just $11.99!!!

We received the Jake hat from Star Blossoms for our review.

He was only 2.5 months old here!!!

Isn't it ADORABLE?!?!? We got the 6-12 month size. It was a bit big on him there, but it fits him pretty perfectly now at 4.5 months old. I think her sizing may be a BIT on the small side, but I'm sure this will fit him for a few more months!

It's so cute, Everything is stitched just perfectly. Not even the slightest mistake. The button really makes the hat and that is stitched on, it's not glued, so the chance of it coming off is very slim!

I love the colors. They really bring out his blue eyes. Her work is just beautiful and I love all her other hats as well!

So cute!

Babies, children and kids all look adorable in hats don't they? And they look even more adorable in handmade crochet or knit hats!

We received the Newsboy Hat with Brim and Band in light blue for Emerson. We got the 6-9 month which is for a 16"-17" head. Emerson is right about a 16" right now.

A bit big, but will definitely last through spring and probably part of summer as well!!!

I think it's so cute on him!!! It's made really well and is constructed nicely. Every stitch is perfect, tight and uniform.

This hat is just so adorable it's irresistible! Just check out those pictures of Emerson in this hat!! WAY too cute!!!

I feel like her sizing is dead on too! Emerson was about 3.5 months when this picture was taken. Head's grow fast, but I think this will easily fit until he's 8 months old or so! His head is in the 25% too so it's not like it's huge or anything!!

I received an embroidered diaper from Rumpkinz. She sent along a Great Cloth Diaper Change diaper.

Although we didn't go to the change, I put Emerson in this diaper that day!

How adorable!

I love this diaper!!!! It is thick, it's PUL and then minky so it's fairly thick and a little bulky, but it's so adorable that it's worth it! We've never had to size up in pants for ANY of our diapers, so I don't think it's THAT bulky!!

I love the embroidery, it looks AMAZING on this diaper. I love the sage/mint green color and it's just so cute. LOVE the insert it comes with too. It's great stuffed in the pocket, but is also amazing just laid in as well.

Very absorbent. The insert doesn't look that big, but it's super absorbent!! Everything washes nicely and comes clean easily. I love the hemp insert because it doesn't collect stinkies like microfiber does so we don't have to worry about that!

This diaper is really well made. The stitching is great on it and it just looks amazing!

She also has fitteds, Changing Pads, unpaper towels, embroidered t-shirts, and wet bags!

Ella Lane is a store that has some adorable women's items! I received a beautiful top from them and just love it!

It's a dressier top, not one I would wear every day, but it's a fun shirt for a little occasion!

I got the Color Block Top

I love, love, love this shirt! It has so much going on!!! The top striped part is ribbed. The stripes are 3D!! The purple part is the same material as dress pants as is the yellow and the white at the bottom is t-shirt material! It has so much going on, yet is so pleasing to the eye!

I do love this shirt a LOT. I wore it when I took Jon out for his birthday to The Melting Pot. It was perfect for that occasion. It would even be great for a graduation, birthday party or any other get together like that. It could be worn with jeans every day if you wanted, but for me it's a bit dressier than that!

It's a little short on me. I just put a black hip-t underneath it and it works great! covers everything I need it too without feeling uncomfortable!

Other than that, I love this top! It's adorable too!

This event starts May 22nd! It's the Baby, Toddler & Kids Giveaway Hop! I have some great sponsors for this event and here is our first one!

Peter Rabbit Organics has wonderful orgnaic fruit and veggie purees for children! They have just introduced 5 new flavors and we got to try each of them out!

The new flavors include Pumpkin, Carrot and Apple, Banana and Apple, Pear and Apple, Pear and Pea and Peach and Apple! Wonderful new flavors to add to their lineup.

Much to my surprise Avery chose the Pumpkin, Carrot and Apple to try first. She loved it!!! I tasted it as well and I'm not a pumpkin fan, but I too loved it! The fruit that's in these purees masks the veggies which is great. Children can't taste them, but they're still getting the nutrients and they're building their palette without even knowing it!

Emerson got to try the Banana and Apple since he's had both of those before and he devoured it! This was his first mixed puree. Before this it was one fruit or one veggie only! So this was a nice change for him!!

Avery had all these gone within a week. She pretty much had one a day until they were gone.

I think these are great for the diaper bag. There's always a healthy snack on hand in those just in case moments!!!

Peter Rabbit now has 11 flavors in their lineup!

I have done a couple reviews for Cate & Levi in the past. They have wonderful upcycled items! They use all natural and reclaimed items and hand make each item right in Canada!! A wonderful company indeed. And I've had the pleasure of reviewing their stuff 3 times now!!

This time I received one of their new People Puppets! We got the Princess. Since each item is handmade using reclaimed items each one is DIFFERENT! They are all one of a kind!

Since Avery's birthday was May 9th, I reserved this to give to her!

and she LOVES her Princess Puppet!!! It is so adorable and of course, different than the one on the site. She has an aqua dress and purple crown. The back of the dress is purple as well!

All of their items are just wonderful. We've also reviewed a Giraffe puppet and a Hippo shirt! Both were wonderful.

They mostly use wool pieces which are super durable. So these items will withstand your children's play!

They also sell Blankets, Change Purses, Pillow Pals, Stuffed Animals, Journals and much much more!

They just have some adorable items!

Price: The puppet we received is $30 and this is very generous for a handmade item. Each item you buy you can choose boy or girl colors, so that's always nice!

I have done a review for My Baby Clothes in the past and I loved their items. They had sent me a Lion Romper for Emerson. It was a 0-6 month and although he outgrew it by 2 months it was still uber adorable!!!

This time I received the Little Me White Crab Rashguard Tee. We all know summer is coming and especially with little delicate skin it's great to have a UPF tee.

Don't worry everyone! The pink is sissy's bed :)

I got the guard in a 6-9 month. I figured when we're in our hottest part of the summer (June-Aug) that should fit him pretty well. Plus tops fit him longer than bottoms do. He's still in some newborn and 0-3 tops!

This shirt fits him great, this one is true to size, it is supposed to run a little tight as it's form fitting and supposed to fit snug to prevent sun from getting in better. I love it and it's perfect for anywhere really, the park, zoo, when sissy is playing in the sprinkler or bounce house. Any time we'll be outside for a long period of time, this is wonderful to protect him from the sun! It's UPF 50!!! So it's better than a lot of sunscreens!

I also debated between the crab and the frog

In the end, I decided the crab was cuter!!!

I love My Baby Clothes quality!! The items are great quality and are reasonably priced as well!

I get headaches fairly often. They were really bad when I was on birth control because of hormones, but I find that if I don't drink enough water during the day I get a headache. I get one about once every couple weeks.

This past weekend I had a migraine that lasted me 2 whole days. I wish I had my Ally's AromaRemedies with me then!

I received the Head Tonic as well as the Mellow Melody. Both are massage oils. The head tonic is meant to rub on your head when you have a headache, but also for neck and shoulder tension as well. I have been having this lately. Emerson is teething and likes to stand a lot, my shoulder cramps up often so this would definitely come in handy and I didn't even think about it when this was all going on.

The Mellow Melody is for de stressing and for relaxing!

The Mellow Melody has Bergamot, Lavender, Neroli and Sweet Orange (among others) in it. It smells really good! The perfect blend of all the oils. The carrier oil for both products is Jojoba!

The Head Tonic is Lavender, Frankincense, Chamomile and more! This one doesn't smell as appealing, but it does work! I used this twice now and it has rid of my headache within 10 minutes. It is really a godsend. I need to put a little bit in another container and keep one in my purse and one in the diaper bag so I always have some with me.

The Mellow Melody we haven't used it. If it works as good as the Head Tonic does, then I'm all for it!!!

All of Ally's products are 100% natural. They use essentials oils and jojoba which is all natural from the earth so these are great products to have!

They carry other products as well like A Girl in Need for menstrual cramps, Mommy Belly Oil for stretch marks, Skinny Legs for sore legs and muscles, Breathe Easy for sinuses, Cheerful for a good mood and a LOT more!!

Price: The 1oz bottles like I received are just $12!! 4oz bottles are $40, but this isn't that expensive at all. 1 bottle of a regular plain essential oil (Orange, Lavender etc) is about $8-$10, so for this they mix it all together for you and it's ready to go! Nice and easy and very affordable. Plus one bottle will last a LONG time!

Halo Review

You all know just how in love with Halo I am. I love all their products and we've gotten plenty to try. A while ago I blogged about their new Crib Set. Well this time I got one for review.

They didn't have my favorite, the Serengeti Blue, so she sent me the My Dog Sam instead!

This allows a blanket free sleep zone. The newborn swaddle is too small for Emerson now, but we've been using the small sack. It fits him perfectly. The size small is up to 6 months old and 18 pounds. Emerson is 14.5 so it will last him a while yet.

We still don't have a crib, so I haven't had a chance to try out the skirt and the sheets, but the sheets are a super soft cotton jersey. I love the pattern on the skirt, it's boyish, but adorable at the same time!

Once we get a crib we'll definitely be using these sheets for sure!!
