For those of you readers that received report cards recently in the mail for your kids, Blockbuster has a benefit for them! Any child with a report card that shows B's or better gets a free rental from the family section. Since my girls only get numbers on their report card it all looks good :) So, a free family movie night is coming up at my house. You have 30 days to take that report card in.....don't wait!

Hey friends, I am going to head to Walgreens today for a few great deals. My favorites: Kashi cereal ( I have some coupons that came in the mail and I love this stuff), U by Kotex,, Shick Shaving Gel, and Benadryl. Looks like I can get all of this for less than $3 with my coupons and Register Rewards. Check out the full list from a new blog that I am enjoying. I think the saving for Disney idea is superb!

Cheap jeans/t-shirts

I stumbled upon a great deal today that I will pass on but you need to act fast. The Springfield Canned Food Warehouse, 14th and Main has a stack of assorted jeans from different makers for $6/pair! I picked up some Old Navy Jeans for myself for $6! They do not appear to be seconds but just overstock or closeouts. There are also tons of Gap and Old Navy T-shirts for $4 each. I bought 2 of the Gap simple t's for myself and a couple of x-small for my daughter. All sizes there in assorted colors but they will not last long. Tomorrow this will be advertised in their circular. I do not know what is available at the Eugene location. If you do, please post a response.

safeway $10 off $50

Just in case you didn't see it, there was a $10 off $50 at Safeway in the Tuesday Register Guard and also is available in the free Emerald Daily shopper that comes to my door on Wednesdays. I stopped into Safeway today and bought a lot of meat as well as a few items I needed like milk, bread and eggs and came out of the store paying $30.68 for $65 worth of groceries. My checker took the $10 off $50 before the manufacturers coupons but after the safeway coupon for turkey breast, which is how I got down to $30. I love the $5 turkey breasts that are on sale with a coupon (also found right below the $10 off $50), they make great lunch meat. Then another $11 in Ranchers Reserve beef (coupon available on their site) plus bacon etc for the Weekend Easter plans. I always look through the comments on these posts and usually learn about a few other deals. Also, may sure to watch for the new 50% off stickers on items throughout your Safeway. Where they used to only put these on close to date dairy items, I am now seeing them on lots of different products. Today I scored a jar of Select Hot salsa for $1.17 because they are discontinuing that brand. Worth a look for the red tags!

OK, do you drink juice 100% pineapple or pineapple orange? That is what I got last night. Deal is as follows Buy 10 selected frozen food items, get a catalina for $10 off your next purchase. There are only a few varieties of Old Orchard that are tagged with a blue bottom showing you they are part of the deal. Buy ten of them, use two $1/4 coupons juice firefox coupon, you can double those with two of the doubles in todays ad. Print the coupon twice!
Here is the math
10 x $1.29 = 12.90
-$2.00 off 8
-$2.00 for 2 doulers

$8.90 for 10 juices
Get $10 for another purchase on anything in the store!

Now, you could theoretically buy 8 juice and 2 other items to get to the magic 10 number. Just make sure that they are frozen food items that are part of the Just CHILL deal.
You can take the $10 catalina and do the transaction again and buy 10 more even without coupons for $2.90.....that is cheap juice I would say! Other great deals this week are laid out for us at FRUGAL LIVING NWlink

I am a Tazo tea lover so when deals like this come along....I pounce. Safeway has a promo starting today on buy 3 select coffee or tea items (Tazo included) and get $6 deducted automatically. Then there is a printable coupon for Tazo tea. Link in on the Safeway frugal living list Safeway Frugal living

You can only print two coupons off per computer. I had to print one more from my husbands but it should get me a box of Tazo for about $1.50! That is less than .10 cents/cup. Do you know how much I pay for the same thing at Starbucks? Crazy!!!!

Great shopping deals!

For any of you that are looking for some kids clothing or even clothes for yourself or hubby, I have seen some great clearance events around town.

First, I received a $10 off $10 purchase in the mail from JCPenny's this week so stopped in yesterday to pick up some needed under garments for the girls (for FREE :)) While there I was pleasantly surprised to see all the 60% 70% and 80% off racks of clearance items. Wished I had been alone and I might of scored some more great deals but instead had to leave it for you since I had two kiddos in tow.

Second, I was in Fred Meyer trying to score some free laundry soap before the catalina was pulled and found a 60% off clearance on all their clothing/shoes. I love these once a season type sales since I can often find great tennis and sketchers for my kids for really cheap! I even found a great pair of Eastland sandals for myself! Happy Spring. Be aware, these sales mean boxes of shoes out of order. Having the kids along was a tad distracting but I did strap them into a cart at least....and brought some toys

Albertsons has double coupons this week!

Just a heads up that in your Albertsons ad today you will find three double coupons! You can only use three per visit but I plan to stop in there a few times this week and maximize the savings.
The krazy coupon lady has laid out many great deals. Her final prices do not reflect using a doubler most of the time.

My main plan is to buy
Angel Soft tissue (there are printable $1/1 coupons at coupons.com) final price $2.99/12 double rolls! STOCK UP
Del Monte vegetables and tomatoes using the coupons for $1/4 from last week plus I will get a $2 catalina at the register if I buy 6 or more at once
Bumble Bee tuna
Ronzoni Pasta

Do you need Chips?

Well OK, who really NEEDS chips, but oh if you are planning a superbowl party this weekend and need some really cheap snacks.....head to Walgreens this week!

Here is the deal. Spend $20 on Pepsi/Frito Lay products and get a $10 Register Rewards voucher to be used on your next purchase.

Oh, chips are all $2 this week, so to make it really simple, buy 10 bags and get them for $1 each after the RR. I just took the RR and used it to buy the blink tears and other free after register rewards deals. The only catch is that you can't use the $10 RR to buy more pepsi products. But you can use the other RR like for the Blink or Zicam and use those to buy more pepsi products.

Some other ways to make this even better. My store had .50 off 1 peelies on the 2 liter sodas. They are priced 4 for $5
I did not buy all chips....here is my transaction today since I am planning for a family trip to Sunriver later this month. We normally do not buy soda but for a fun getaway I do.

6 bags of assorted doritos and tostitos =$12
4 2 Liter Sodas                                  =$5
1 tostitos salsa                                 =$3.59
                                                       =$20.59
Used 2 .50 off coupons for soda        -$1.00
1 $1 off chips and tostitos dip           -$1.00
                                                      =$18.59

Got a $10 RR back which I used to buy some other great items!

I figured that I would have paid $8.59 for two bags of chips/salsa and 2 2 liters at WINCO this week so the other 4 bags of chips and 2 liter of soda were FREE :)

Think big...what about youth group functions etc. This could be a way to stretch lots of snacking budgets

Yummy Dnner Sweet Thai Basil

In case those of you in Eugene did not know about Sweet Thai Basil Restaurant on Pearl.....I thought I would give a short review tonight. If you like restaurants with great ambiance and fantastic presentation.....check them out! We had the fresh wrap appetizer (check out the coupon link) and also the Green Curry with Shrimp. Shared that main dish since we are trying to cut calories but oh was it tasty! I would highly recommend this Thai restaurant. We are on a mission to try all the Thai places in Eugene this year. I will keep you apprised.

Safeway and fruit snacks

I stopped at Safeway today and picked up 5 fruit snacks, one oatmeal box of instant packets and two boxes of Life cereal. I paid $2.60 OOP ( they doubles all three coupons I had plus I had $1.40 in coupons loaded to my Safeway card) and got a $3.50 catalina back! I also picked up some ground turkey breast for $1.99/pkg. It was Jennie O brand and I had a $1/2 coupon that I applied to the two packages. Very lean and great for chili etc. I am stocked for the "snack mom" role. Good thing since I have snack next week at Cubbies!

Don't throw away the Albertsons flyer today, there are three double coupons on the back of it! $3 for 3 $1 off doublers! Check out this list of good deals when you use thesefistful.
I picked up some pampers with a high value coupon I had and 2 boxes of free jolly time popcorn as well as 10 Knudsen cottage cheese and fruit combos.
The deal is this:
buy 5 Kraft cheese products and get a $5 catalina for your next purchase. Good through 1/24. The Knudsen is a Kraft product and the cottage cheese and fruit combos are $1.29 this week. however at my store tonight they had the strawberry variety for $1.00 each. I bought 5, paid $5 and out spit the $5 catalina. I went back and got 5 more and then paid for them with the catalina and got another catalina. Sorry, the strawberry are gone at Thurston Albertsons but check what is closest to you! Never know, they might have some free cottage cheese. Basically I got 10 Cottage cheese and fruit for FREE! LOVE IT. I might go looking for more tomorrow.

Old Navy Sale starts tomorrow! 1/15

I stopped into our Oakway Old Navy tonight to check out the clearance sections and also to verify that the 50% off the CLEARANCE price is starting soon....TOMORROW is the day! If you are at all in need of kids clothes or Mens clothes, get there soon. I picked up a sweater vest for my husband that will be $3 tomorrow. Good selection of girls clearance but in true Old Navy fashion, a real mess! Huge selection of women's clearance, although I must admit I don't have the stamina to deal with the racks, and also still some coats for kids. I try to plan ahead one year and pick up jeans for $6 or less, winter coats for under $10 and long sleeve shirts to start back to school for CHEAP! Hope you get a chance to save big as well this weekend.

BTW, Old navy lets you price adjust for 14 days, so I just am planning to return with my receipt later this weekend to get my 50% off. :)
