Add water then add just one drop of mild liquid dish detergent. Set the mixture in the area where gnats are a problem. Today I would like to tell my readers about two great
products, from Glennys. I received them today and I am about to taste test each
one. But first I want to share a little about the company. Glennys has been
making healthy snacks since 1979. This isn't my first time trying their
products, but their Greek Yogurt Bars are brand new, and I am honored to try
them out. Glennys products are great for everyone, especially those who are
working on losing weight, or just eating better. Their products are made for
the Heart Healthy ingredients and soy. For the most part the products are 100
calories, some a slightly bit higher, but always come in sensible portions. What's
also great is the fact that they are certified Kosher. What ever product you
decide to try from Glennys, you will always be guaranteed a great taste.

The first box of bars I received was the Glennys GreekYogurt lovers bar in triple layered strawberry. It was full of all natural
fruit and nuts. And guaranteed to make you feel in love at first bite. This
gluten free bar is made with all natural ingredients, and is also gluten free.
The best part of the bar was the extra layer of strawberry filling.

Next up was the triple layered chocolate coconut lovers bar.
Also made from all natural fruit and nuts. It to was gluten free and filled
with a extra layer of coconut filling. So yummy.

Each bar is enrobed with a deep rich Greek yogurt. You will
find them hard to eat just one. As usual Glennys bars are easy to take with
you, in your pocket, purse, or lunch bag, or even to grab on the go.

Today I want to share
with my readers, a product review on Chameleon chili sauce. I received three
jars from the company, and I couldn't wait to get started. But first a little
about them.

Chameleon Chili Sauce
is a specialty creation with very unique blends of ingredients which anyone
could use in a variety of ways. From dips to pasta sauce, the products are can
be used. All the sauces blend easy with your recipe, in fact they add a flavor
that pops and becomes very distinctive.

So lets get started.
For my first dish I made with the original chili sauce, short ribs. I braised
my ribs, that near the end added the whole jar, no other spices were used. The sauce
gave my short ribs the same tomato flavor as if I had used pasta sauce. The
difference was the flavors were more dominate. The blend was so outstanding there
was nothing left.

Next I cooked some
pasta as a side dish and used the red pepper lime sauce. Again all I used was
the jar of chili sauce, nothing else added. It actually coated the pasta better
than a jar of pasta sauce. You get the taste of the red pepper, and hint of
lime. What was great the sauce already had oils in it and cumin, so I really
had a complete seasoning mix going on.

For a third dish, I
went with a sloppy joe burger, and used the chipotle chili sauce. This gave my
sloppy joe's a southwestern taste. Not to hot but not to mild. It made the
sloppy joe burger's zesty and full of southwestern flavor. The blend of spices
gave the burgers a rich smokey peppery taste.

A neat way to keep fingers from getting sticky is to poke a hole through a cupcake liner and slip your Popsicle stick through. Kids love not getting all sticky, and mom's love it to.

Waiting for me on the porch yesterday was a package from Robert Rothschild Farm. I always know when I open it, something great is inside waiting for me to taste test and blog about. The company is from Urbana Ohio, and I have blogged for them several times, and their products are well worth the typing.

Their products are always rich and bold in flavors, not matter if its jams or coffee, you get great tastes. The company produce's high quality products from start to you finish in your own kitchen. So I can't wait to try the two I received today.

First up was the chocolate chip scone mix. Easy to follow directions gave me such yummy scones to go with the organic French vanilla ground coffee they sent. But first, let me tell you more about the scones. The mix was full of sweetness, and tons of chocolate chips. And they can be served up with so many toppings, such as butter or whipped cream, to fresh fruit. For mine I left them exactly as they were. In ten minutes I had the most moist, yummy scones I have tasted. They were very decadent, so full and rich in flavor, and yummy in each bite I took. They were gone fast, and after you try them, you'll know why. They are great for a breakfast serving or even a snack, and they also look great on a brunch table. The best part as if could be beat, is they are all natural.

Next up, to drink with my scones, I made a pot of the organic French vanilla ground coffee they sent along. Any one in my family can tell you I love my coffee, and flavored is my favorite type. This coffee gives you the taste of sweet vanilla in every sip you take. Pair it with the chocolate chip scones and your taste buds will be in heaven.

Supplies:- Tall, round 3 Quart container with a lid
- Better quality paper towels (the cheap paper towels don't work well on a dirty bottom)
- Knife to cut the paper towel roll in two
- Baby shampoo
- Baby oil

Directions:
1. Cut a paper towel roll in half so you have two short rolls.

2. Set one roll inside the canister. Set the other half aside for next time.

3. Combine and stir together:
1 1/2 cup hot tap water
2 Tablespoon baby shampoo
2 Tablespoon baby oil

4. Pour the liquid mixture over the top of the paper towel roll. As the liquid soaks through, the moisture will loosen the cardboard center making it easy to pull out. If you get lucky, it will bring with it the end of the paper towel roll. If not, carefully pull on the wipes in the center to get the sequence going.

5. Pull out the amount of paper towels (from the center) that are needed. Reseal after each use.

6. If the wipes are not wet enough or the lid doesn't get put back on, just add more water. If the wipes are too moist, leave the lid off for a little while.

Philly Cheese Steak Stuffed Peppers

Allow the 1 1/2 cups butter and eggs to stand at room temperature for 30 minutes. In a small bowl, stir the 1 tablespoon melted butter and the 1 tablespoon cocoa powder together to form paste. Brush inside of a 10-inch fluted tube pan with cocoa paste; set pan aside.

2. For cake: In a medium bowl, stir together the 1 1/4 cups cocoa, flour, buttermilk powder, baking powder, salt and baking soda. Set aside. In a large mixing bowl, beat butter with an electric mixer on medium to high speed for 30 seconds. Gradually add brown sugar, beating about 5 minutes or until light and fluffy. Beat in vanilla and coffee crystals. Add eggs, one a time, beating 1 minute after each addition and scraping bowl frequently. Add one-third of the cocoa mixture and 1/2 cup of the water, beating on low speed just until well combined. Repeat with another one-third of the cocoa mixture and the remaining 1/2 cup of the water, beating on low speed just until well combined. Add the remaining one-third of the cocoa mixture, beating about 30 seconds or until smooth. Spread batter in the prepared pan.

3. Bake in a 325 degrees F oven about 60 minutes or until a wooden toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool in pan on wire rack for 10 minutes. Remove cake from pan; cool thoroughly on wire rack.

4. Split cake in half horizontally. Set cake top aside. Spread Marshmallow Filling on the bottom half of cake. Place cake top on Marshmallow Filling. Drizzle the Chocolate Glaze over the top of cake. Using a long serrated knife, cut cake into wedges.

Chocolate Glaze:

Ingredients

1/4 cup whipping cream

1/3 cup semisweet chocolate pieces (2 ounces)

Directions:

In a small saucepan, heat whipping cream over medium heat. Add semisweet chocolate pieces. Heat and stir over low heat until chocolate is melted and smooth. So simple! Layer cheap plastic beads in cake pans (no lining required), melt at 400 for 20 minutes, let cool, & then just flip them out. Drill a hole in it to make it a suncatcher!

Orange Cake you have to try

Today I received two curd and tart fillings from a company, Robert Rothschild Farm. The company has sent me several products to review in the past, and I always look forward to the new one's they send. Robert Rothschild farm, is proudly owned and operated by family in Urbana Ohio. They have over the years, produced award winning foods, like toppings, curds, dips, sauces and much more. Their products are made with care, and love, which you taste in each bite.

The first product I tasted and reviewed is the Lemon Curd & Tart Filling. The filling is just so delectable, and fresh tasting. You get the tartness from the fresh lemons, and the sweetness comes from the sugar. The filling can be used not only for baking but for cooking as well. It can also be simply used as a spread on a fresh baked scone. The recipe ideas are just endless. For my taste test I used it in baking, a small tart, and some lemon curd General Tso chicken.

The tart came out so creamy, and I might say, very tasty. I made a homemade crust and filled the tart with nothing but the filling. Baked it, and ate it. The tart was one of the best I ever made, thanks to the filling.

For my chicken, I made General Tso, and instead of the soy and other ingredients, I used the curd, on my cornstarch coated chicken. My family definitely wants it again.

The next test was to taste the Key Lime Curd & Tart Filling. For this I made cupcakes. I not only used a few tablespoons in the dry mix, I used the remaining curd in my frosting. It made the cupcakes very moist, and kept you wanting more. The filling also made the homemade frosting smooth and creamy. You got the combined flavors of the key lime and sweet butter in every bite. I would also use this as a basting on chicken as well, possibly even a roast pork with some pineapple. However it is used, the end results will be the same, yummy.

If you would like to know more about the company, and their many wonderful products, head over to their web site www.robertrothschild.com.

BREAKFAST CUPCAKES

This is a really easy dish to prepare, and it looks so darn cute! It is also a great dish to serve on a buffet table because each serving is completely self-contained and can just be picked up and popped on a plate.
1 20 ounce package pre-shredded hash brown-style potatoes
2 large eggs, lightly beaten
4 tablespoons flour
1 small sweet onion, coarsely grated
2 thick slices deli ham, chopped into small bits (about 1 cup)
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
1 dozen eggs, scrambled*
chives for garnish
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F., and lightly spray a 12-cup muffin tin with non-stick cooking spray. Mix the first eight ingredients together in a large bowl. Spoon potato mixture into each prepared muffin cup until about 1/3 full. Gently press the potato mixture down in the middle and up the sides of each cup. Bake until golden brown, about 25-30 minutes. If the nests have puffed up too much in the center, scoop out a little with a teaspoon. Spoon a few tablespoons of scramble eggs into each nest and top with chives

Pineapple Cake

Miss Susan’s Pineapple Sheet Cake

Miss Susan’s Pineapple Sheet Cake
2 cups AP flour
2 cups sugar
2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
2 eggs
20 ounce can (about 2 cups) crushed pineapple, in juice, don’t drain
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup nuts- I left out due to allergies

Mix all together until smooth. Pour into greased 9×13 inch baking dish and bake in a 350 degree oven for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. PLEASE SEE UPDATE BELOW!

Icing
8 ounces cream cheese
4 T. butter
3 cups confectioners sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup nuts- optional

Beat butter and cream cheese until smooth and creamy. Add Vanilla. Slowly add sugar and blend after each addition. Fold in nuts if desired. Ice cake while still a bit warm. Serves many as this cake is rich and sweet, so cut the pieces small as you can always have seconds.

Yummy Goodness

It seems that if she tells someone she is then called a snitch. It took her entire family to instill in her that she has to tell. That it is very important and this is how she will get help. It sadden me to see her self esteem go straight to hell, by someone who was only jealous of my daughter having a birthday party which she was not invited to. As a parent it is also important to keep after the school to do something about the problem. They aren't as diligent as they should be. Even though here in New Jersey we have tough anti bullying laws. Its been two days and I am still waiting to hear from the Vice Principal. Please talk to your child and go over a few things they should know if they are bullied. I would rather my child be called a snitch then to get so depressed she does something, well I don't even want to go there.

Mr. Coffee BVMC-KG5-001 Single Serve Coffee Brewer Powered by Keurig Brewing

Today, I received two fruit spreads, from the Robert Rothschild farm. They are a family founded company located in Urbana Ohio. They make great products like spreads, dips and so much more. I couldn't wait to get started tasting and testing them.

To get started, I used the blackberry tea and sage fruit spread on my pork roast for dinner. I also added fresh blackberry's as well, to make a sauce to drizzle over my pork roast. To say the least the pork roast was a huge hit. Nothing left is a good sign. This is such a great tasting fruit spread, that can be used in multi recipes. The fruit spread is somewhat on the tart side, but then you get the sage and black tea taste that balances it all out. It was just heavenly on the pork roast. I would also use this as a spread on a muffin or toast, and on ice cream as well. In every bite of the Rothschild spread you can taste the love, that is put in their product. Best of all its made with all natural ingredients and is gluten free.

Second up was the strawberry lime basil fruit spread. Again, this is a product the company makes with all natural ingredients and is gluten free. I used this for a spread on top of my homemade bread that I made yesterday. It spread so nice and smoothly, and tasted fantastic. Made with a blend of the sweetest strawberries and a hint of basil gives you a sweet and tangy spreadable fruit spread. Simply stated, its so good.

The company has a ton of other great products, so if interested in knowing more head on over. Their site is www.robertrothschild.com. You not only will find their products but recipe ideas as well. One thing for sure you will not be disappointed.

I have for you today three different types of whole wheat popped crispy chips from Glenny's. These are new products for 2013. Let's get started.

Glenny's is a business that makes wholesome, healthy snacks. They have been in business for 30 years and is still going strong. They have a ton of products to choose from and today I am going to taste and review about three of them.

First up for tasting was Glenny's Whole Wheat popped Barbecue Crispy Chips. There are many popped chips on today's market, but I must tell you these chips from Glenny's taste fantastic. You get the crunch of a real chip with the taste of Barbecue. Just like a potato chip, you will not stop at one. The chips have only 3grams of fiber and also have 3grams of protein. They are all natural, and the best part if you watching your waist line they only have 100 calories. Another great fact about Glenny's whole wheat popped chips is that they are certified OK pareve kosher. They are not only low in fat, but have no cholesterol or preservatives. It doesn't get any better than this.
Ingredients

1 package (16 oz.) NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Ultimates™ Refrigerated Dark Chocolate Delight Cookie Dough
2 packages (8 ounces each) cream cheese, at room temperature
1 can (14 ounces) NESTLÉ® CARNATION® Sweetened Condensed Milk
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
24 peppermint candies, unwrapped
Directions

PREHEAT oven to 325° F. Paper-line 24 muffin cups. Cut each square of dough in half. Place one half of dough in each muffin cup.

BAKE for 10 to 12 minutes or until cookie has spread to edge of cup.

BEAT cream cheese, sweetened condensed milk, eggs and vanilla extract in medium bowl until smooth. Set aside.

PLACE peppermint candies in heavy-duty plastic bag. Then place bag between towel layers. Crush candies using rolling pin or other heavy object to about 1/4-inch in size. You should have a little over 1/2 cup. While holding strainer over batter, pour crushed candy into strainer. Shake to release all small candy pieces into batter; stir. Reserve larger candy pieces.

SPOON about 3 tablespoons cream cheese mixture over each cookie in cup. Top each with 1/2 measuring teaspoon of reserved candy pieces.

BAKE for additional 15 to 18 minutes or until set. Remove from oven to wire rack. While still warm, top cheesecakes with additional 1/2 measuring teaspoon of candy pieces. Cool completely. Refrigerate for 1 hour.
