What the New Year has in store!

It's been over four months since my last review and it's not because I have lost interest. It's simply because I have been busy with numerous projects. When I say numerous, I mean NUMEROUS!

In the last four months, I have launched somewhere in the range of a dozen websites or blogs. All have been successfully catapulted to the top of search results in Google for the keyword phrase and all have generated traffic, natural organic traffic, which has led to me making money off of them. Not a lot of money, mind you, but they have made me money!

How this was made possible was by following the simple and easy methods described in the Thirty Day Challenge I participated in last August. The techniques I learned in the FREE program presented by the very successful team of Ed Dale, Dan Raine, and Robert Somerville helped me get everyone of my websites or blogs ranked quickly and in high positions and it didn't cost me a dime.

Well, now the boys from The Thirty Day Challenge have taken it one step further and created the New and Improved Thirty Day Challenge PLUS! Their plan with the higher concentrated version is to walk you through the process of creating a new product and bring it to market. This is the part that excited me.

For the longest time, I have been trying to produce several products, in the form of eBooks or the likes, to serve a niche or two that I have some knowledge or experience with. One such niche is related to the website/blog I built in the Original Thirty Day Challenge. During that training session I found a niche, built a blog and tried to sell a book from Amazon. I was successful in getting the page to rank and hold 4 of the top ten spots on Google for the keyword phrase and I was successful in selling a few books. However, if you ave ever tried to make money selling books as an affiliate for Amazon, you understand that for every sale you make, you get paid very little.

So, with that said, I have been intending on writing my own book related to the niche based on personal experience and marketing it. Obviously, the work involved is much more intense and time consuming but the reward is also greater. Plus, this opens up the opportunity to put the book on Clickbank and get other internet marketers to help sell it.

This is why I have now signed up for the New, Stronger Version of Thirty Day Challenge Plus! With the new format and syllabus, I hope to be able to finish by eBook and get it online so I can continue to market and promote the blog. I am confidant that with the skills I learned in the Original Thirty Day Challenge that I can get the blog to rank high for the search terms for my niche and perhaps be able to make a modest income form book sales. And, in the end, this is what all of this effort is about.

Commission Blueprint - Read Before You Buy!

Well, I have waded through all the information, watched all the videos (18 of them to be exact), read through all the material, and have formulated my opinion about the recently released Commission Blueprint by Steve Clayton and Tim Godfrey.

If you are considering buying this product, I strongly recommend you read through this review entirely before you make you decision. What you learn here may just save you some money!

Let the dissection begin:

The Landing Page

One thing that I did learn from this course is just exactly what "those in the know" of internet marketing call the various types of landing pages. It appears there are four different types of landing pages and those are:

The Long Form Sales Letter - You have probably seen this one before and if you're anything like me, it's the one that you probably read half-way through and then scroll through the rest to see what the price is at the bottom.

Testimonial or Social Proof - This one is fairly common as well. This type usually tells a story about any given problem/condition/circumstance and then follows it up with countless testimonials from people with the same problem that solved it with this product.

Review/Comparison Site - This one is used quite a bit as well and usually is set up to show two or more products side-by-side so that you can chose the one best for you.

The "Clone" Site - This one can be any of the above and is usually just a copy of the product page that was set up by the author/owner of said product.

For Commission Blueprint, they used the Long Form Sales Letter. I followed my usual approach and read the first few paragraphs and then quickly scrolled through the rest to see how much this thing was. I don't know about you, but I generally look at the price right off to see of this something I may consider buying. I have a set limit that I will spend on something that I have no knowledge of before hand and that limit is usually right around $100, no more. So, with that in mind, I was actually surprised to see that this product was only $77 and not the usual $197 or $497 or $997 that you see so often. (What is up with setting prices $3 short of an even amount? I have always wondered about that.)

Anyway, the page is professional looking and looks like they paid some money or took some time to put it together. There are plenty of recent ClickBank snapshots showing huge payouts so it would be easy to assume that these guys know what they are talking about. However, graphics like these are easily produced by anyone with a little Photoshop experience.

The Purchase

Another ClickBank managed purchase that was uneventful. They do, however, try to upsell you with their monthly program the "Online Marketing Classroom." They present an introductory offer to this program priced at $4.95 for the first week which then converts to $67 per month after that. I haven't had the chance to make a complete assessment of this part of the sale, so I have no review on it at the moment.

The Product

Keep in mind that I am writing this review from the perspective of a AdWords and ClickBank newbie and I have never attempted to launch an AdWords campaign simply because I am fearful of things I don't fully understand. And if you haven't guessed by now, that is what this program is all about.

Upon completing the transaction, you are directed to their product site where you have the choice to either download all the videos or watch them via flash movie in your browser. I chose to download all of the videos which took some time since they are produced at a fairly high resolution and contain quite a bit of content. Like I mentioned before, there are 18 videos in all for 14 different topics of the program, 3 manuals in PDF format, and you can download all of the slides that Steve uses in his presentations on the videos. As a bonus, they give you templates that you can download of the landing page types discussed above. These guys really took some time to put this package together and it shows.

There are almost 5 hours of video with this program and in those 5 hours, there is not much fluff or wasted time. All are really direct and to the point and seep with useful information. I learned more by watching the first three videos than I have learned in most programs that cost 7 times as much and contain twice as much.

The manuals all contain snippets of code for your landing pages, links to products that they use in the program, and samples of everything that they talk about in the videos. Again, they look like they took some time putting these together and there is not a wasted page in them. If you have read any of my prior reviews you know that I am particularly critical of products that contain a lot of grammatical errors and misspelled words. With todays technology, you have to either be in a real big hurry or just not care when you produce a product with errors like these. I was taught in school that when you are writing a report or anything for publication that it was always a good idea to have several people proof read it a couple of times before you send it to print. These two gentlemen obviously came from the same school of thought. I didn't find any glaring mistakes like I have in other products. That's not to say there aren't any, I just didn't notice any.

The templates they provide are useful but I wouldn't say they are great. It gives someone with no knowledge of HTML somewhere to start but they are pretty basic. I think anyone with a little HTML experience could turn them in to some really nice pages with a little work.

The Summary

In summary, I would say that if you are an experienced AdWords entrepreneur, you may find some value to this program. Steve walks you through the method to his madness which involves some really intricate and time consuming details and some pretty primitive methods as well, all of which he uses to pick his opportunities which seem to pay off. Steve also shows you some tools that he uses that aren't even available to the open market yet and, ironically, that I was introduced to as part of the Thirty Day Challenge I am currently participating in. So, if you are already involved with AdWords and are successfully running ad campaigns, you may only find value in the access to the new tools Steve uses.

However, if you are a virgin to the whole AdWords game, like me, and want to get involved I think this program is ideal for you and will give you the knowledge you need to try your luck at it without losing your butt in the process. That right there is worth the price, in my opinion. I feel very comfortable with launching an AdWords campaign now and think I could take the information I learned from this program and not only apply it to AdWords successfully, but to many other aspects of my internet marketing venture.

In conclusion, I highly recommend Commission Blueprint for all the reasons I stated above. And I hope that if you found my review helpful in making your decision that you purchase your copy by clicking here and help me keep reviews like this coming.

I have been bombarded the last two days with emails about the latest program to hit the online marketing market, Commission Blueprint.

Several of you have asked for a review of this product before you spend your hard earned money on it so I have purchased it and will be going through the materials in the next couple of days.

My initial impressions are as follows:

The landing page looks professionally done and not just another copy of the same one everyone else uses.
The story is like most others, "Guy(s) tired of corporate job, guy(s) look for way to make money online, guy(s) discover secret formula that makes guy(s) $109,151.19 in 30 days promoting just one ClickBank product!"
For the cost, which is set at $77 for a limited number of copies and then, of course, they have to raise it to $277; It isn't too painful to pull the trigger on. But then again, if your struggling paycheck to paycheck just to make ends meet like a lot of people searching for an answer are, $77 can seem like a fortune! And that is why I am here.
The amount of content is impressive: 18 Flash videos, 3 PDF manuals, 4 website templates, and some bonus content!

I estimate it may take me two full days to get through all the information/videos. Once I do, I will be posting my review of Commission Blueprint right here on this blog so check back soon and often!

The 30 Day Challenge Has Worked for Me - Already!

Well, I am now on Day 19 of the 30 Day Challenge and I have reached my objective: make $10 online!

Now, some of you may not think that $10 is anything to get excited about but the significance of it is this; I made that money with no financial investment of any type. I didn't have to buy a program, I didn't have to buy a membership, I didn't have to pay for advertising, I paid for nothing.

In 19 days time, I was able to do the following:

find a niche to market to.
establish a blog/web site based on that niche.
find a product to sell and use to test the market.
secure 6 of the top 10 spots on Google for the keyword(s) I chose.
generate growing traffic that could potentially generate much more than that $10.

To me, that is quite a list of accomplishments in 19 days time. I have been working for two years trying to find a place to hang my shingle in this business with no luck. I consider this the first step in a journey of a thousand miles! It's always hardest to take that first step, but once you get going, it should become easier and easier.

I am confident that I could take what I have learned in the last 19 days and apply it again and generate a whole new project in less than 4 hours! I am also confident that with time and repetition, I could narrow that time down to a couple of hours. And you know what the amazing part is? I still have 11 days of training left to go!

With that said, I have yet to see one attempt by these guys to sell something to those of us involved in the training. There has been no mention of any offer, product, membership site, etc. that would require an investment of anything but time. I really have to commend these guys on what they are doing and how they are doing it.

Another incredible part of the program is they are going to leave all of the training videos and lessons up after the 30 days so that those involved can refer back to them at anytime for a refresher or whatever they may need. And it's not to late for people to get involved, you could literally get caught up in just a few days if you were to start now. I would highly recommend it to anyone who was considering trying to get started in internet marketing in any way.

One of the really neat things about this program are the concepts involved can be applied to ANY online business. It doesn't matter if you are selling a product, a service, or just trying to increase traffic to your blog, these lessons will help you. And it's amazingly simple.

Now, I may sound like I am trying hard to sell this thing and that would be correct and there's a good reason for it. I have spent thousands of dollars on programs in the past that were supposedly going to help me create an online business and "start making $5,000/month!" We've all seen those offers, right? Out of all those programs I paid good money for, none contained as much information or taught me as much as this program has and I want to do my part to help others out there looking for some help. I want to help people save their hard earned money, especially with the economy being what it is today, and invest it in something that will show them real results instead of a screen clip of some unknown account that shows all the money a person has made using some "Top Secret Magic Code"!

Day-By-Day Training to Start Making Money Online

I recently joined a program that touted it would teach me how to finally start making money online. Now, in my relentless search for a way to free myself from the daily grind, I have come across many programs claiming that they would teach you "everything you need to know" to start making money online and I usually give them my information to "learn more" only to find out they want my credit card number before I can learn anything. I have found that most of these programs are simply crap that charge a enormous fee to learn things that are readily available online and have simply been compiled into a link-farm type document. However, the program I recently joined is nothing of the like.

Some of you may have heard of the "30 Day Challenge" put together by three blokes by the names of Ed Dale, Dan Raine, and Robert Somerville. If you haven't heard about it, these three guys have created a system that takes the participant from Internet Marketing virgin to finally making money online by holding their hand and walking them through each step. Not only do they teach you everything you need to do to find a unique niche to work on, but they provide you access to some tools that some of the gurus wish they had. And this is not their first run with this program. They did this exact same thing last year and helped a bunch of newbies finally make money online. Now, they don't make promises that you will make tons of money in your first 30 days, they set the goal at an easy $10 mark. Why? It's more about the process required and not the profit acquired. I can't wait to see the future modules and if they are anything like what they released already, they may just have some tools that will change the game as we know it. True Harmonic Wealth for You?

Many people have been wondering where I have been and where I am in my quest for independence. Well, I have been buried with work at my daily 9-5 grind but I have also been doing some really good studying and educating myself on just how I can break free from the rat race.

In my studies, I have come across many books and articles about what it takes to be successful, how to go about it, and who to emulate to help your chances of success. Several of the books I read involved ideas about visualization, concentration, and intention. Many of you may be familiar with these words and methods already and I was somewhat aware of the concepts before, but I have broadened my knowledge of these ideas greatly in the last few months.

Many of you may have heard about or even seen the movie "The Secret." I have seen the movie and while I was intrigued, it didn't really seem all that believable to me. That is, until I started studying it more closely. During my research, I began to think back to times in my life when I accomplished things that were above average or exceptional and I broke them down on how I went about making those things become reality. Every one of my great accomplishments in my life involved me visualizing the end result, setting my goals, and staying on course in my effort to achieve them. Also in my research, I began to study some of the various leaders that were presented in the movie "The Secret." One of those leaders that I really found interesting and easy to listen to was James Arthur Ray.

On one of my recent business trips to California, I was unable to return home for the weekend so I was stuck in a town where I knew two people and they were gone on vacation. So, with nothing to do I went to the local book store to find something to read. I had picked up a couple of books that interested me and as I was headed to the checkout, I say James Arthur Ray's latest book on display on an end cap of one of the book isles. I decided to take a quick look at it to see what it was all about and the rest is just a blur. Four hours later I found myself sitting in a comfy leather chair still in the book store and closing the book I had picked up having read it from front to back without break. For some reason, I was just enveloped in the book and what he was trying to convey. The book really hit home with me and made me look at life in a different view.

This videos introduces you to the entire course, as well as the teacher himself. You'll learn what you can expect from the course, and why it's structured the way it is.

Michael realizes that you may not have heard of him, and so he spends some time establishing his credibility with you by sharing some of his biggest successes. It doesn't come across as bragging at all. Michael explains that, in order for you to get value from the teachings, you need to have faith that the teacher actually knows what he's talking about. By the end of this video, you will have no doubt.

By the way, this is a good lesson for all of us product developers. If you want people to accept you as an authority on any subject, you first need to establish your credibility with the reader. That way he's willing to relax, and trust that what you're telling him is sound advice.

VIDEO 2 - THE BASICS

This video will introduce you to the basics of mini site marketing. This will set the foundation that all future learning will rest upon, so it's important to pay close attention to this one.

The answer is 'squeeze pages'. This video will teach you:

* Why using a squeeze page is far superior to other opt-in methods.

* The single most important thing you must include at the top of your squeeze page to skyrocket your opt-in rate.

* The secret structure of a squeeze page, and why most marketers get it wrong (which costs them a LOT of money).

* The most important to include in your opt-in process that will make sure that people actually receive your email.

After watching this video, you'll know everything you need to know to start building a massive opt-in list right away. This will probably be the first video that you 'take action' on. You'll be so excited about the possibilities, that I guarantee you'll go and create

VIDEO 4 - MINI SITE COPYWRITING - PART ONE

Nothing happens until the sales copy is written. Graphics alone will never sell a product, but sales copy alone WILL. This video begins to demystify the mysterious process of writing words that make people whip out their credit cards and buy.

* Why you need to learn copywriting, even if you “hate to write”

* What a compelling offer looks like, and how to tell the difference.

* Bullets that force your reader to keep reading the whole page, and makes them insanely curious and want to buy your product.

* How to take the risk off people's shoulders, so they'll feel safe buying from you.

* How to craft your 'call to action', and get people to whip out their credit cards and buy immediately.

OK, so I have been away from my posting duties for a while but I haven't been doing "nothing." I have been doing countless hours of reading and research trying to find my ticket to freedom. While I am not quite there I feel as though I am getting closer ever day. During my relentless pursuit of the right fit for me, I have found that, just like in everyday life, 5% of the people in Information Marketing make the most money and the other 95% either fail miserably or make very little. This article by Chris Rempel lays it all out in a very simple to understand way.

It all starts when some well-meaning (yet misdirected) person encourages a budding internet entrepreneur to "start in a niche they know alot about", or base their business around "something they're passionate about"...

As horrible as it may sound - they've unknowingly sent the hopeful entrepreneur down a path of false expectations, poor results and eventually - failure. In fact, the myth of "do what you love and the money will follow" has been responsible for more failure than likely any other influence - perhaps even more so than laziness or a lack of perseverance.

Because the simple truth of the matter is that the only way you're going to make real money on the 'net is if your business is based around two crucial things:

1) Large Demand

2) Buyers

In other words - you aren't going to get rich selling a $15 ebook about growing square watermelons - even though that might be a great passion of yours.

The demand just isn't there. Maybe there's a few searches a day on Google for the topic, and perhaps there's some interest in the online "gardening enthusiast" communities - but you'd be hard-pressed to make even a few hundred dollars a month from ebook sales.

Similarly, you also aren't going to have a particularly easy time getting rich by building websites about some seemingly "popular" topics like humor, jokes, funny pictures and so on. And while there are a few ways to "monetize" your site (with AdSense, CPA Offers, CPM Banners, etc.), it takes literally millions of website visitors to make even just a few thousand dollars in markets like that.

The demand is huge - but the visitor value is extremely low...

Instead, if you want to make it big online - pulling down an impressive six-figure income - you need to tap into markets with tons of demand, where the majority of the visitors are valuable.

You need to capture tons of traffic that wants to buy something. If you take this approach, you'd practically have to hijack your own order links (or affiliate links) not to make a sizeable income.

In fact - did you know that some affiliates make several thousand dollars daily just by promoting a single product in hot markets? (Just imagine what the merchant is making...)

In some markets there's actually so much demand that the vendors are quite literally selling over a thousand units - or more - per day. Digital products, with practically zero overhead/delivery cost.

But it all comes back to tapping into valuable demand. In most cases, it takes no extra effort or "skill" to market to a valuable market than it does to struggle along with something you're passionate about.

These two factors - demand and buying traffic - are what seperate the "wannabe" marketers from the millionaires. Because there's no real secret - you just need to sell what thousands of people are already buying.

If I had a dime form every time I have read or heard those six words, "the money is in the list," I wouldn't need the list because I would have plenty of money! Well, if your like me, just starting out in this online journey, you probably don't have a list and in order to build a list, you need a product, a website, a large chunk of cash to buy one with, ... or some help!

Affiliate Marketing Questions & Answers

Since starting on this journey to find a means of making money online instead of trading my time for a paycheck in the "blue-collar world", I have come across lots and lots of different programs. Some seem interesting and others are just the typical scam or burnt out offer. While there are new programs getting offered everyday, most are just duplications of similar programs that are already out there and have been used, they just put a new face on it, call it something catchy, and re-release it. Others are just continuations of the same program but they add a number to it, i.e. "Make Money 2.0". This usually means they just refreshed the copy and graphics and are looking to market it for another round to generate some more cash. While not all of these are scams, there are just too many for the average Joe to filter through.

I consider myself one of those Average Joe's and have been searching for somewhere I can read reviews and I found one that provides just that. The Gentleman at www.onlinereviews-now.com have reviewed several programs that might be worth looking at. You can also get a FREE website through this site as well to help you start an affiliate marketing program of your own. On this site, he claims to have evaluated over 100 affiliate marketing programs that claimed to help an absolute beginner, like me, make from $300-$700 per day with no experience, no product, and no website, again all like me. If a person could get two websites that made him or her and average of $500 per day, do you know what that translates to in an annual income? $182,500/year, not bad if you can make it happen. I would be happy with half of that but would gladly take it all.

PS Lawn Chair Millionaire Update - I have been involved in the Lawn Chair Millionaire program for a little over two weeks and I have to say it is easier than I though it ever would be. The initial placement of my ads was the most difficult thing I had to do and they are consistently providing me new leads. As of today, I have still 9 sponsored members in my direct downline but have 16 new leads in my prospect list that are getting emails daily of the benefits and potential of LCM. The Reverse Funnel System and Their Sales Plan

It's been a few days since I have done anything with the Reverse Funnel System. It's not because of lack of things to read or participate in, more rather because I wanted to step away from it and see if I was still as interested in joining after separating myself from all the marketing hype. And believe me, there is plenty of hype that goes with this. I receive numerous emails daily from Ty Coughlin wanting me to jump in and get involved now, or check out this page with testimonials, or join this call to hear the stories of people just like me that are making money with the system.

Well, this morning I received one of those emails about a call, so I decided to listen in. I also decided to record it for those of you who aren't "privileged" enough to get an invite from Ty himself. Now, I have to hand it to them, it is pretty motivating to hear all these people talking about how easy it is to make money and how little they work each day doing it. It makes a person envious and stirs up those emotions that make one want to get involved right away. Now, I know that some of the people on the call are plants, meaning they are from the top echelon of RFS and making tens of thousands of dollars. One of the "plants" was Eric from Scottsdale, AZ. He is featured in the testimonials and was the main member on one of the previous calls. I call him a plant because he is probably one of those "unusual results" they put in their disclaimer. I don't mean to sound harsh about these "plants" and I understand they have a right to be there but I want to hear form the new guy, just getting going and how he's doing. I liked the testimonial fromthe 69 year old man who was previously a business owner that appeared to make him a lot of money ($500k - $1 mil/year) but sold it when he retired. He is now making a go of it with the Reverse Funnel System and Global Resorts Network. He is easier for me to relate to than Eric from Scottsdale. He took his time in getting involved (3 months) and took even more time after that to get things rolling but he seems to be doing fairly well at it. Guys like this tell me two things; one is that anyone any age is a potential buyer of this program and the other thing is people like me who tend to drag their feet a little when it comes to big purchases can still make it work.

In summary, Ty Coughlin and his "System" do an incredible job of marketing and following up with prospects. The also do a great job of motivating people who are sitting on the fence with these types of calls which they seem to have several times a week. This would be a great call to drag a skeptical prospect to to help them make the decision. I almost pulled out my credit card and bought in right there! I will hold off for just a little longer to make sure I am joining the right team. I am still getting emails from Mark Hoverson and his team and they hold similar calls like this weekly. I may post one of those for you to listen to in the future but they often include a webinar type presentation which I would have to record to give you the full effect. Stay tuned!

Positive Cash Flow in LessThan a Week in the Business.

I am officially on the right track. I have been involved with Lawn Chair Millionaire for 8 days and now am in a positive cash flow situation. I have sponsored 9 people giving me $180 in immediate commissions and $135/month residual income. I have invested a total of $128 in cash and probably in the range of 28 hours of my time. That's pretty good, all things considered. I think the appealing part of Lawn Chair Millionaire is that it has only been active since December so it's not over played yet and it really isn't that difficult to get on the plus side of things.

Here is a brief summary of what I have done to get those 9 people in my downline. I have published classified ads in about 17 different online venues. All of these are free venues so it comes at an affordable price. I have spent some time on HitSafari and EasyHits4U surfing for credits to get my ads displayed, this is real easy and a little monotonous but a cheap and easy way to get some hits. I have, obviuosly, advertised Lawn Chair Millionaire on this blog with links and banners and have actually generated some traffic from those. The best part about LCM is their campaign tracking program that allows you to see just where your hits are coming from so you can do more of the good stuff and eliminate the non-productive campaigns.

This little taste of success really gets me excited and I am now starting to keep my digital voice recorder by my bed at night because I have woke up several times with ideas on how to market this and had no way or recording it or writing it down to review the next morning. My wife thinks I am crazy but hopefully it will pay off enough for her to understand. For now, I will be as quiet as possible when I record my ideas or it may be painful. I tend to get less sleep when I get in these kinds of modes because I can't seem to shut my mind off fully at night, it's always churning and working. I can't go like this forever, but a few more good ideas and I'll be happy and can then find a way to shut it off.

On a sadder side of things, I learned today that my company is laying off some people because of the slow economy. This is both sad and nerve racking because, while I made it through this round of cuts, you just never know when the hatchet is going to come down on you. More reason to try hard to make something like this work, right. Keep checking back to see how many more I can add in the coming weeks. $2,000 in Less Than 12 Hours, AMAZING!!!

Well, after some extensive research and countless hours scouring the various forums, blogs, and web sites, I have made my decision. I signed up for the Reverse Funnel System last night. Now, I wasn't expect things to really take off right away but I decided to stay up late and place some ads as they recommended. It really wasn't too difficult and the cost was reasonable so I figured "why not get started?" I then went to bed and didn't sleep very well because I couldn't get my mind to stop working. I was brainstorming all night on ways to make this thing take off and really work for me. I got up this morning at 4:00 am to get started in my advertising campaign, checked my email and, to my surprise, I had already earned $2,000 in commissions! I thought I was dreaming for a moment but after several pinches, some cold water in the face, and a minute or two, I realized it wasn't a dream. This is amazing! This thing really works, and works well. All I did was follow the easy to understand instructions on placing ads and BAM! I made a quick two grand!

Unbelievable?! Well, it is... APRIL FOOLS!!! I haven't joined RFS yet and am still undecided as to which way I will go. I am almost certain that I will join Global Resorts Network but just not sure who's team I will be a part of. The reason I can say that I am certain I will join is I think it is a remarkable value for the price and since my wife and I like to travel, we could benefit form the membership alone. If I can find a way to turn it into an income generator, all the better!

On a more serious note, I sat in on a "newbie" call last night for Mark Hoverson's team and found it quite interesting. The title of the webinar was "How to Avoid Rookie Mistakes, and Get Started FAST with Global Resorts." The things that were discussed were the top 5 mistakes "newbies" make when starting out in GRN, all of which made good sense and were accurate. The webinar was hosted by Mark Hoverson and one of his affiliates named Debbie. Debbie is new to GRN but apparently is doing really well. She initially discussed how she got started and her reluctance in making the jump to internet marketing. She talked about how she went to the beach to make her first video, which appears to be an important part of Hoverson's marketing plan, and ended up wasting all the daylight trying to muster up the courage and find the words. She eventually gave up a went back home to try another day. Well, she finally made that video, now has a web site set up, and is able to find the courage to lead a webinar for over one hundred people. Debbie used a Power Point presentation to go through her information and, not to be harsh, but it was primitive to say the least. What this showed me is that you don't have to be a computer or marketing genius to get this to sell.

I consider myself to be above average in computer literacy and I can handle my own in Photoshop, HTML, and Power Point so if Debbie can do it, so can I, and maybe even a little better. I have generated some really unique ideas on how to advertise this and I will be testing them for the first time with this program. The Follow Up....

I sat in on a conference call the other night with one of the top performers in the Reverse Funnel System, Eric W. Eric is on the testimonials page for RFS and has worked with Ty Coughlin in the past. He seems like a normal guy, says words like "dude" and uses phrases like "right on" a lot. Also on the call were several people like myself who still have questions or reservations about joining Global Resorts Network. While there were a few questions from people on this call that were answered in all of the emails and web page text if they would have looked closely, Eric was patient and went through it all with the caller to make sure it was clear. I really appreciated his ability to put everything in layman's terms and his honesty. While I can't be 100% sure he is an honest guy from one phone call, I do think you can tell when someone is trying to sell you and when someone is just trying to answer your question. Eric wasn't trying to sell us, he was simply there to clarify any questions we callers may have had.

I learned a lot on this call and not about GRN or RFS, but more about the demographic of the people this program reaches out to. To sum it all up, it reaches out to all walks of life from all parts of the country. There were people on this call from all corners of the United States and from all levels of income. One lady had a sad story about her child being in a terrible car wreck that broke his neck all while she was going through a nasty divorce leaving her with little disposable income but she was determined to find a way to get involved. It is determination like that that makes this country great!

While the jury is still out for me on this program, I have been brainstorming on how I could set myself apart from all the other people out there selling this and have come up with quite a few ideas I think may work. I won't share those with you yet, but if I join, I will tell you everything and whether it works or not.

Oh, by the way, LCM has a campaign tracker in their back office where you can track the various campaign and see which ones are performing and which ones are duds. This is a great tool which I check regularly and will use to replicate successful ads in other places.

In my relentless research and search engine queries for information on RFS, GRN, and other affiliate programs, I stumbled upon one that caught my eye. Lawn Chair Millionaire promises to pay you your first commission the first day you are a member. Well, I am here to tell you that they came through. I received an email this morning telling me that I had been paid. While it wasn't a $1,000 commission, at least it was something. I have made my first dollar on the 'net! And I have a guaranteed commission coming to me next month and the month after and I haven't done anything but sign up. But... There seems to always be a "but..." doesn't there.

Anyway, to join it is a $49 membership fee and then a $29 monthly maintenance fee. My commission from signing up yesterday is $12.69 and my guaranteed commission for next month will be, at least, $15.32 and the month after $18.23. That totals to $46.24 minimum. I signed up late in the day and the site leads you to believe that the earlier you sign up, the bigger chunk of the pie you get for that day. If anyone has any input on that, feel free to comment about this post below.

Now, the commission structure works like this: if I directly sponsor someone, I get a one time $20 commission for their commitment and then a $15/month residual commission as long as they stay active. If my math serves me correctly, I need 2 directly sponsored people to sign up under me to cover my monthly fee. They offer some unique products in a section they call "The Vault" which offer bigger paydays. One kicker is you have to be a member of their program or purchased their system to get those commissions. Again, if my calculator is correct, a person would need to invest $660 more to be able to sell the items in "The Vault" and get paid for them. One of those, as best I can tell, requires a monthly fee of $100 to stay active. In the Vault are two ForEx trading systems, one virtual sports betting system, and one futures trading system. If a person were to sell one of each of the items in the vault they could make $307.50 with some opportunity for residuals.

The exciting part is when I checked my back office part of LCM, I found that I had already accumulated 225 people in my downline. I have never had 225 people in any downline, let alone one I didn't have to work for. What this does for me personally is yet to be seen. None of them are "direct downline" members, but I haven't done anything more than enter my info thus far.

One of the things they don't tell you up front is they only pay with by crediting your debit card (which they set up for you). No checks, PayPal, eGold, wire transfer, etc. You have to pay another $49.98 for set up and shipping.

All things said and done, to sign up and get paid, a person needs to invest $127.98. I will receive a guaranteed commission of $46.24 which leaves me in the hole $81.74. I need to recruit 4 people to cover this expense and then I will have $60/month residual coming in. May sound like it's an upside down program but Rachel Long, who is a member of who's-who of the internet marketing circles, has over 2100 sponsored members. That means she makes over $31,000/month just on residuals. Wow! Surely I can get four people, right?

In all of my many hours of research and efforts to find out more information on RFS and GRN, I opted in to a few lists and one of those lists was Mark Hoverson's. I wanted to get my hands on a "FREE" report he was offering. With that "opt-in", I was added to his autoresponder and no receive emails almost daily. One of those emails, which I received today, was Mark asking me " What's your impression of the reverse funnel?" Come to find out, Mark is a member of Reverse Funnel System, or so it appears, and has his own little website. I was aware he was a member of the "TruthtoWealth" Team but not RFS. Now, don't get me wrong, I see nothing wrong with this and I think it proves he is a smart business man. He hasn't placed all his eggs in one basket and has diversified his offerings which increase his chances for success. I like the way he thinks. I am curious as to how it all works out in the end, meaning, which one pays him more. It appeared to me that all of his videos on YouTube were for "TruthtoWealth" and I didn't find any for "RFS." One thing is for sure, he is a firm believer in Global Resorts Network and perhaps "RFS" is how he got his start in it to begin with. If you want see how much enthusiasm this guy has, check out his videos here. Perhaps he felt, like many others I have run across in my many hours on Google, that the $299/month web site was a bit steep? Or perhaps he felt there was a better way and decided to venture out on his own and find it? One question I would like answered would be, does he use the same member number for Global Resorts Network in both systems?

Well, Mark, if your reading this and you get any hits on your website from it, I want a finders fee. Since I don't have a link of my own yet to post, I can only solicit a "finders fee" and not a "commission."

While I will continue to research this more, $3k is a lot to drop without doing your homework, I will be making a decision in the coming week. Check back often to follow me on my trek to set my family and myself free from the "vacuum" of trading time for money.

Well, I spent most of yesterday researching "Reverse Funnel System" and "Global Resorts Network" and these are my thoughts up to this point. The "Reverse Funnel System" seems like it has mostly positive feedback on Google and on most forums. While I was able to find some negative posts regarding Ty Coughlin and RFS, most of those were from skeptics and not actual people who had participated in RFS. Most of the posts seemed to be by people who had been burned in the past by other programs or people who assumed it was a scam and the only person that was making money is Ty Coughlin. Now, keep in mind, there are a lot of people on these posts defending the RFS system and they are obviously members and are working the system. As of right now, I am still undecided on RFS.

As for Global Resorts Network, I am actually kind of excited about this program. not just for the compensation plan, but more for the savings on accommodations at resorts. The wife and I like to travel and I can really see this being a value to us. The best I could tell, if you use two weeks from GRN you could easily pay for your membership fee. While we would like to travel two weeks a year to a nice resort, we simply can't manage that right now with two young kids and the existing budget we are living on. Remember, I don't have enough money for beer let alone a week in Cabo San Lucas, even with a big discount.

I was able to find other ways or teams to join GRN through and in all actuality, a person could join GRN directly through GRN. But I am leaning toward joining under a team that provides some support and advertising coop or training. One of the "teams" I was able to do some research on was one that a fellow named Mark Hoverson is a memeber of. If you do a YouTube search for Mark Hoverson, you will find numerous videos from Mark talking about GRN, RFS, and the pros/cons of each. Mark is definitely doing well with GRN and if you watch any of his videos you will see why. He comes across as a very likable guy and seems to have all his ducks in a row. Mark is a part of the "TruthtoWealth" team. "TruthtoWealth" seems to offer the same kind of support that RFS does but for a fraction of the expense. Don't get me wrong, you will still need to purchase a GRN membership for $2,995 but their web site and virtual assistant tools are less.

I will continue to do some more research and if you have stumbled across my blog because you are doing the same thing, feel free to post your comments if you have found anything I haven't talked about or may think would be relevant.

The Presentation!

OK, I watched the presentation. It took all of the requested hour to view all the information and videos as well as listen to Ty's audio. Now, when I paid my $50, I thought I was going to get a report on how to make money online using the Reverse Funnel System. I was excited right away when, shortly into the first audio from Ty, he promises access to 7 revenue streams. This got me excited because if you are anything like me and have been looking for an online business to supplement your income, you have probably ran across plenty of reports or books that all have recommended having multiple streams of income. This seemed to be right in line with that concept. As the presentation continued, I was presented with my first revenue stream, Global Resorts Network.

Global Resorts Network (GRN) is just as it sounds, a network of resorts all over the world that offer incredible discounts for weeks of accommodations (avg. $298-$699/week). Now, I will admit, there are some nice resorts in their list. The kicker is it costs $2,995 to join GRN plus a $100 yearly maintenance fee. So to get started, it's a total of $3,095. That is a big nut to cover to get started but if you vacation a lot and like to stay at 4 or 5 star resorts, accommodations could cost you as much or more than your membership fee for one weeks stay which would make this a no brainer.

Now, the commission structure with GRN is generous but a little confusing. You get $1,000 for every person you sponsor after the first one who joins under you. What this means is for your very first sale, you get nothing because they call this your "qualifier." This "qualifies" your first level. This happens on every level of depth to your matrix. The commission from the first person to start a new layer goes to the house, those above you. But everyone else that hits the level, you get paid on. Now, I can see a real opportunity to make some money and see how they can advertise making $20,000/week. I think there is the potential there but just how much effort, how much time and how much money you would have to spend (i.e. on AdSense, PPC, Banners, etc.) to get there is yet to be seen. One of the promises made by Ty Coughlin is that they will show you where and how to place all your advertising to get traffic and make sales. One question I have at this point is, like all MLM programs, there comes a point in time when saturation is met and makes it difficult to make the kind of money as all those who joined early do. I wonder if GRN is close to that point or if there is still room to get in? I will do some research on this.

While I do have the money to invest in this, if I were so inclined, I can't get to it right away. I have to transfer these funds and it takes a few days to get this accomplished. This is a great way to prevent an impulse buy and if I would have had easy access to this money I would probably be a member of Global Resorts Network right now. The presentation, testimonials and all the sales copy were pretty convincing!

But, since I didn't have easy access, I was forced to wait. I have since done some more research on GRN and if you Google "Reverse Funnel System" or "Global Resorts Network" you will get plenty of hits. There are a ton of videos on YouTube about it all. There are some made by members of RFS that show their back office and show just how much money they have made. There are also some videos of people who are members of GRN but not via the RFS. They, too, are making money with the product. I call it a product because that is exactly what it is, a product that you sell and get others to sell below you. It is a typical MLM setup but with a little more equal commission system. You get the same commission as the person who is three levels above you on each sale. I haven't seen a MLM ever that offered that type of commission structure.

Well, I haven't committed to join GRN so I wanted to see what the next revenue stream may be. But it appears that you can't move on to the next revenue stream unless you accept the first one. This part is a little disheartening. I haven't even been given an affiliate number to advertise RFS and try to bring in leads. This is really strange to me because everything I have seen in the past, they give you an affiliate number right away so you can start bringing in more affiliates. Perhaps this is because they don't really have anything else to offer and make all their money off affiliates joining and not the products or information they are offering??? RFS seems to be different.

In conclusion, I am in a holding pattern right now with the Reverse Funnel System and Global Resorts Network. I will check back in after a couple of days to let you know what I have decided to do. Right now, I am going to continue my research about all of the above.

The Beginning

I have set this blog up for a couple of reasons. First off, I am tired of my job. Don't get me wrong, the job itself isn't bad it's just the fact that I am away from my family all week. I work on two projects in our state and the closest one to my residence is 120 miles away. The furthest one is 217 miles from home. With gas prices being so high, it makes no sense to commute everyday so I stay in a hotel. With that said I have been searching for a way to work from home, make as much money or more as I currently do, and have more time to spend with my kids.

I have searched thousands of web sites, blogs, forums, etc. looking for that one thing that will set me free. I have spent a lot of money on a lot of crap thinking "this is it!" when in fact it was sh*t! Now, I have signed up for a program that I have seen ads for numerous times but never looked at. That program is Ty Coughlin's Reverse Funnel System. Perhaps you have heard of it, perhaps not. I have applied to be a Joint-Venture partner with Ty and am awaiting news on whether I have been accepted to work with them or not. Evidently, they don't take just anybody. I am excited about this and plan to make the best of it, do everything they recommend, work it hard, and see what I can do to make it work.

The second reason I started this blog was to document my success, or failure, at implementing this program, if accepted. I plan to post at least once a day and document my progress, my actions, money spent, and money made. I want to detail every step I take to let you see just how well things are going and how long it takes me to turn a profit and if the system is all it's claimed to be. This will be an honest and unbiased diary of everything. Now, don't think for a second that I will be revealing any of the secrets or methods or material that Ty provides as part of his program, that would be unethical and illegal.

Now, perhaps your wondering why I chose the name "Money-4-Beer" for my blog. Well, it's simple, not long ago, after being gone all week and a unusually taxing week at work, I got home and all I wanted to do after kissing my wife and kids was to sit in my recliner and drink a beer. I went to the refrigerator and opened it up and I had no beer. What disappointment. I then decided I would go to the store and buy a six pack so that I could sit in my chair, relax, and tip a few back. I checked the balance in my checkbook and I didn't have enough money to even buy a six pack of beer. I thought to myself, "how pathetic. Here I work all these long hours, travel all over, am away from my family all week and I still don't have enough money for a six pack of beer." I was putting all of my money into my gas tank or the hotel and restaurant industry while I was traveling. The real depressing part of the story is, I had ten days to go before I got my next paycheck. It was at that point forward I decided I needed to do something different. I needed to find another way. From then on, it has become my mission to find something that I could do part time and make some extra "money-4-beer."

So there you have it, the beginning of a new blog where you will be able to watch my progress on this new journey. You will see all of my successes and failures (hopefully these will be limited) and judge for yourself if;

I actually made an honest effort to make it work.
the system does what they claim.
the time invested is worth the profit.
it might be worth a try for you or someone you know.

With that said, my next post will be to let you know if I was accepted or if I have to find another plan.
