Money on Thread is a free, simple, yet effective, personal finance manager to keep track of your money. The program displays your income and expenses on a timeline thread that allows you to review your financial transactions at a glance. In addition, you can also view a standard transaction list, view a graph of your spending history and generate a pie chart that shows how much money you have spent in different categories. Money on Thread supports custom categories and recurring transactions, as well as custom report options.

Money on Thread is a simple way to keep your money tied very well on your personal thread, so no single penny can go away without tracking.

In a nutshel, this is a free simple software for personal finance, house budget, or household budget. You add, delete modify the trasactions that you usualy have (salary, mortgage, rent, bank rate, car rate, credit cards due payments, real estate) on the "thread", and thus you can have a quick view when you might have some short cash, or not :-) It's very simple indeed!

Money on Thread comes with a set of preconfigured categories, like salary income, personal expenses or health and education and you can manually define categories according to your needs. Transactions are shown in excel file and you have an option to filter the text in it. This software comes with so many features that you will be amazed when you use it, that too free of cost.

Money on Thread "speaks" the following languages: English, French, German, Spanish, Italian and Romanian, using the Google translator tool; so, please, be kind and send me the corrections if something sounds "funny"!

So, in order to use the application Money on Thread version 1.6.4 built on 2011-10-01, you have to do the following actions.

- For the archive versions w/o JRE:

Download "Money on Thread" version that you want (either the one for everyone, or for the IT experts), by clicking on one of the available links in the "Download" section, and then "Save As" to your computer.

Unzip the archive file, which you just downloaded on the previous step, somewhere on your computer, by right-click on it and choose one of the available options: "Unzip here" or "Extract here".

Start it with the command "StartThreadMoney.cmd" by double-click on it, or from the command line.

If you are updating an older version, just unzip the application over the older folder.

- For the installer:

Download the setup file MoneyOnThread-n.n.n-setup.exe and start it.
The new installer is a classic wizard installer, basically it's just "next-next-next" button :-)
This application requires the Java Runtime Env. (JRE >= 1.6.0_16) - and if you don't have it - don't worry, the installer will propose to download it, directly from the Oracle website
Start the application from "Start > All Programs > Sorinel Cristescu (SCC) > Money on Thread n.n.n > MoneyOnThread"
