Why You Are Not Working From Home Successfully

Everyone wants to work from home, and today more people are doing it than ever before. Whether it’s a remote job, an online business, or a side hustle, working from home offers flexibility and freedom that many people want. However, working from home successfully still takes discipline, structure, and consistency.

Working from home is supposed to be better than working outside the home—mainly because you don’t have to leave home and you can set your own hours. Not having to fight traffic every morning or worry about being late are great benefits right there. However, just because you are working from home doesn’t mean that you are not working. Don’t get it confused.

I know that since you are working from home and no one is seeing you that it doesn't really matter what you are wearing. However, I think it is better to still get dressed. You can still be comfortable but put some clothes on and don't stay in your pajamas. The reason being is you want to be productive and sometimes when you are in your pajamas you tend to get lazy. It sets the tone that you are getting ready for bed. Which in fact, that is the opposite of what you are doing.

So get up shower and get dressed. Do everything that you would do if you are going out to work. The only difference is you now have more time to do it. Have a good breakfast. After that start your day. You can have a designated place to do your work. Such as a home office. If you have children or have company then this would be ideal. However, if you live alone or your children or in school it's nothing wrong with doing your work outside your home office. It can be relaxing to have a change of scenery. Having a mobile portable desk is great for your work days that you do your work outside of your home office.

It's also a great idea to let people know your work times. Especially, your friends and family. Many people feel that just because you work from home means you have a lot of free time and they assume that you aren't really working (which is so far from the truth). This will help you stay more focused and get more work done and have less interruptions. Be nice but firm. Not answering the phone or texting during your work times (unless it is extremely important) is a good idea.

Having a schedule is really great for working from home. Set your own hours. Whether it is early in the morning (I think this is the best time to work) afternoon, or evening. Whichever, is best for you. Stay consistent with your schedule. It can be tempting to veer off but stay steadfast. You will see improvement in your work and you will get things done. This is why many people don't work from home successfully, because they believe working from home means not working. You are working. You are just working from home. Many people can't separate the two. Don't be one of these people.

Take a lunch break. Eat lunch. Take a little walk or stretch your legs. As I said before the benefit of working from home is you don't have to rush. So, take your time.

How To Keep Your Passwords Safe And Organized

Are you always losing your passwords? Do you have your passwords written on little pieces of paper that you have here, there and everywhere? Nowadays, you have to have passwords for everything and it can be hard to keep up with them all the time. How many times have you lost your passwords? Probably, too many times to count. I definitely know the feeling.

What is that darn password?

You have to make these passwords difficult too. With lower case letters, numbers and symbols. It's impossible to remember all of the passwords we have to make and it's getting bigger every moment. You need a password for everything these days. If I have to make one more password, I'm gonna scream! Go ahead and let it all out. Unfortunately, there seems to be no end in site.

How can you keep your passwords organized and safe and secure? A password book is a great way to do exactly just that. You can keep is somewhere safe offline. I don't know about you but I don't like to keep all of my passwords saved online. It just doesn't seem safe to me. Plus, I like to have something that I can have everything in one place. A password book is a great way to do that. I also like to have something that I can hold in my hands and write in. It feels more personal and private that way.

Password books make great gifts. I know you know someone who also has problems keeping up with their passwords. This is a great gift to give to them.

Why Business Bashing Isn't Good For Communities

What is business bashing? Business bashing is when you talk negatively about a business. I am in a lot of business communities and groups. I noticed that a lot of people speak negatively about businesses. I find that to be a turnoff because, I join groups and communities for support. If a persons business is not illegal I think all community members should be supportive.

I see a lot of people bashing network marketing companies. A lot of people view them as pyramid schemes but that is not true. There are a lot of people who are successful with network marketing and is making good money. So, I don't think it is right for people to hold negative stereotypes about them. Some people don't promote them properly but you see that with a lot of online businesses not just network marketing. If they were not legitimate business opportunities you wouldn't see so many of them. So people are making money with them. I, myself think it's a good business opportunity.

We as online marketers we get a lot of flack for being independent business owners. A lot of people don't think you can make money online. We get this from friends, family and even strangers once they find out what you are doing to make money. I think it is very important for us to uplift each other. We need all the support we can get. It's hard to change your mindset if your own fellow marketers who are supposed to be supporting you are giving you the same old negative feedback you get from people who aren't involved in online marketing.

Why? Because we all need encouragement. It takes a lot of guts to keep going and to believe it can be done. The reality is you can make money online and be successful. So, we should encourage each other in any way we can. Don't become like the naysayers. Even if it is done jokingly. It's not funny. People join communities to get help. You are not helping if you are making people feel bad. That's not what a community is supposed to do.

We are all learning. I know if you have a community or group you get tired of people coming in there trying to spam it to death. For some people they are feeling hopeless. So, that's like a last resort. Obviously, they don't know how to market properly. It's our job to help them learn. Hopefully, by being a member of your community they can learn what tips and tools they need to market properly. We all know having your own business takes a lot of work and it doesn't happen overnight.
