What happens is something that, each year, always amazes me. What is a day of penance and prayer is also a day of great joy and a day which many people say is the highlight of their year: the annual March for Life in Washington, DC and other major cities, not just in the USA

The plan was that everyone would sing it in the same key (!). Groups were asked to send in a video clip to the brethren at the Curia and the angels would do the rest.

This will be the first Solemn Profession in 13 years and we are so excited, not to mention how excited Sr. Mary Amata is!

In his footsteps is Fr. Benedict Croell, OP, vocation director of the Province of St. Joseph. He's hasn't helped that many men come in (yet!) but by the size of the novitiate classes he just might!

However the holiday of Thanksgiving is one the Sisters look forward to. Just like "at home" it is family day for us here at our monastery home. We enjoy talking at meals, eating a leisurely breakfast in the

All day the sounds of chain saws and trucks were the background "music" of our monastic life! So, today we doubly enjoyed the silence that is Sunday in the monastery!

One of the many benefits of belonging to a religious order as old as ours is that we get to celebrate the feast of All Saints and All Souls twice!
