ABC premiered it's new season of "The Bachelor". If you've never seen the show, the bachelor is a dating competition where 25 women try to win the affection of one bachelor. At the end of each episode, he gives the women he likes a rose and the ones he rejects, go home.

Have you looked at the options in your life? The bachelor has plenty of options and he always makes the choices that are best for him. It's painful to say goodbye, but he manages to do it every time.

When was the last time you considered you rejected negativity or the things that are sabotaging your dreams? Bad food, bad friends and bad environments can cause the most hopeful person to focus on despair. It's time to go hard and keep fighting for your dreams. be the like the bachelor and walk with confidence and stride and you pick what you want to do in life and don't let anything stop you.

Keep the people in your life who inspire you, motivate you and make you feel like you can do anything. Let your life shine and be bold and daring like the bachelor.

The end of 2011 came with bad news for California girl Katy Perry. She and hubby Russell Brand are getting a divorce. We know Perry from her pop music hits and colorful clothing. As she goes through a difficult time, we can look at her successful career and one of her hit songs, "Teenage Dream" as a source of inspiration. When Katy Perry was a teenager, she dreamed of a being a singer while being teased by other kids.
Everyone has a teenage dream. When you're so young, you see the world as your oyster and that anything is possible. Sometimes as life moves on and people grow older, they lose faith in the things they desire to happen.

Did you have dreams as a teenager? Those dreams can still come true. They may not come true the way that you want them to, but its still possible with faith and hard work. It's OK if your desires change, but make sure the reason you won't go after your dream is rooted in change and not fear to try.

The best thing you can do in 2012, the year of high standards is to challenge yourself to think of creative ways to make life better for yourself and live your dreams now.

It's time to dust off the teenage dreams that you really want and go after them. If your dream is a different career or athletics, you can do it. Don't lose faith, there is hope. Yes, it will be hard but you can make it. Can you have it all? Yes, but don't forget that it happens one day at a time. Rome wasn't built in a day and neither will your dream life.

This year has been filled with twists turns and head turning years. I told you about lots of celebrity news and what it means to live your dreams. From Kim K's fairytale that crashed and burned to Toni Braxton's spotlight return, we've seen a lot, dreamed a lot and hoped for the best together.

On that big list of goals, some were accomplished, others were pushed to 2012 and a few were crossed off because we changed our mind about it. No matter what happened to you this year, its time to step it up and and make 2012 the year of high standards.

In the new year don't accept second best from anyone, especially yourself. Its a year where you deserve the best of everything. Apply for the best jobs, go on dates with the best people and buy yourself the nicest thing you can buy with the money you have.

Reach for BIGGER and BETTER goals and watch your life shine. Follow your path and own your destination because its time for you to raise the standard in your life.

You don't have to eat beans and cornbread all year, you don't have to live in a place you don't like. The choice is yours, raise your standards and don't forget to fight.

You WILL have tough days. You WILL get frustrated, but in the end, you WILL win. As you raise the standard for yourself, treat others with kindness. Spend a little time supporting another person's dream and helping the next generation. A small act of kindness can go a long way.

Oh and DO NOT judge other people while you're living your dreams. DO NOT say and do mean things to people or be a snob. What you dish out, will come back to you.

Life may have tossed you a few curve balls. Marriage, kids, job, family problems, layoff and sickness are among distractions that come, but your dream is still there hiding in your heart.
This Christmas, free yourself to unwrap your dreams. You may think it's too late, but its not. Even if you have to modify how you live the dream, you still can.

What do you do when you lose faith that your dreams will come true? Sometimes its hard to believe in the face of adversary. Car payments, sickness, career and relationship problems can cause even the most faith filled person to lose faith and stop believing. This week we saw the cast of the X-Factor get on stage and fight to win the competition. In all the speeches that were given by the cast, there's one thing they all said about themselves, keep believing.
It takes a lot for those who sing on X-Factor. Long rehearsals, humiliation and being judged by a panel and the people at home.
There's a lot of bumps, cuts and bruises you will get climbing to the top of your dream. You must stay strong, keep positive people in your life and keep working on it. It's easy to quit and live life below your expectations.It takes a champion to keep fighting, keep going and live out their hearts desire.
I have days when I want to quit. This week I had a one. The one thing I remember that keeps me going is this question, "What will you do after you quit?"
Going home and crawling under the dcovers won't work for me and it shouldn't work for you. It's time to shake the dust off and go back to living your dreams. It's ok to cry, scream, and have a fit, as long as you get up and go back to what you were doing. This week I have a few tips for those who lose faith.

1. Go back to your roots - It's ok to start over. Go back to the place where your dream began and be re-inspired.

2. Stop judging yourself. - the more you judge yourself, the harder it will be to succeed. Hold yourself to a high standard but don't belittle yourself for your mistakes. Everyone is human and mistakes will happen.

3. Learn from your mistakes - the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. You have to change the way you do things in order to get t a new place. do what it takes to succeed.

4. Feed your mind - Read books and websites that teach you more about what you dream about

5. Be more aggressive - don't take no for an answer. When people reject you or shut a door, go kick another one open until you get what you want.

Get out there and live your dreams. it may be tough, but you won't regret it.

How much do you believe in your dream? Thousands of protesters gather in different locations around the world for the "Occupy Wall Street" movement. This week New York's police evicted the protesters from a city park after they camped out there for months. No matter what you think about this group, one thing is true, they believe in their cause.
The protesters are standing in cold weather, living in tents and willing to go to jail for what they believe. How much do you believe in your own dreams and goals to live a different life?
Are you taking no for an answer? Are you pushing hard to get to the next level? It's time to occupy your dream.
The protesters have no problem confronting Wall Street executives, what about you? Is there a house, car or career dream that you are having a hard time with?
It's time you confront problems in a new way and occupy the dream. Occupying the dream means to put your energy and focus into the dream and don't let go until you get what you want. In the words of Kris Jenner, reality TV star manager for her daughters, "If someone is telling you no, then you're talking to the wrong person."
Don't sit there and be defeated by obstacles. Its time to fight and win the war on living your dreams.
Focus your energy on your dreams and they will come true. You may have to change the way you think, make new friends and live a totally different life. Everyone won't be in your corner, and some will even try to stop you, but when you occupy your dreams now, you'll have victory in the end.
The road won't be perfect. You might even change your mind about a few things you want. In the end you will beam with pride and rejoice because you made your dreams come true.

The people in your life can be a help or a set back. Many famous people credit the people in their lives for being encouraging, supportive and always standing up for them. Do you have people who support you or do you walk alone?

Jennifer Lopez got emotional at the annual Glamour Women of the Year awards. J-Lo talked about her great and not-so great moments this year. Jennifer Lopez gave credit to her mother, sister and cousin who stood by her in the most difficult times.

If you're a person with a lot of family and friends, consider yourself blessed. There are those who have a big crowd around them, encouraging their every move. Supportive people celebrate birthdays, parties or funerals. supportive people aren't perfect, but they're there every step of the way.

The person who walks alone doesn't have the Jennifer Lopez support system. It often makes life harder and colder. What do you do when there's no one to support you in your dream? If you're a party of one, you must learn to build a team of your own. No matter who stands with you, stand and be strong on your own.

Yes, you will have days when you want to quit, but you must fight for a better life. You deserve to live your life the way you want no matter who supports you. If they won't cheer you on, then it's their loss. Expect imperfect situations and expect the road to be hard, but if you work hard and have faith, you will be victorious. I believe God has a way of sending you people you need at the right time.

If you keep living your dream, you'll make new friends and find supporters. Its up to you to keep fighting, striving and living your life on your terms. do the right things, honor the people around you and you'll find the place where you belong. try not to focus on who is not giving you support and focus on the mission at hand. In due time you'll have good success and live a good life.

There was a famous rapper who said, "more money, more problems." What do you do when you make a bad decision or have bad people in your life? If you don't know, Kim Kardashian reality TV "it girl", filed for divorce after 72 days and a multi-million dollar televised fairytale wedding. She has been made fun of on every media outlet and called a sham and a fake.
We've all made bad decisions in our business and personal life. Some things we've done were really ridiculous while others were honest mistakes. No matter what we do, we can't hold on to things or stay in a place because we care what people think. When you make a mistake, you have to admit it and move on -period.
Instead of making fun of Kim, I think we can all learn a lesson from the most famous of the Kardashian clan.
We all saw it coming, Kim married an unknown basketball player who had a tough personality. She filed for divorce quietly to get out of it, but was forced to release a statement as people slammed her with vicious comments and accusations.
Should Kim have taken marriage more seriously? YES! Once she walked down the aisle and filmed it for TV she was in over her head in a marriage she couldn't handle and trying to save face to the world. She could have stayed in it longer and tried to fix it, but deep down she knew it was doomed to fail.
She did a lot of things wrong in the situation. People got hurt and others got angry.
One thing Kim did right, she admitted her mistake publicly, dropped it and went back to work. She might have a hard time getting presents at her next wedding (She WILL do it again) but she will sleep better at night knowing she admitted her mistake. The public humiliation will eventually fade and people will go back to tuning in to her many reality shows.
Are you in a relationship, business deal or in a place where something is not working out? You owe it to yourself to let it go and move on to the thing you really want.
You likely have some friendships that need to end, business relationships that are not profitable or maybe you're trying to hang on to a career that's not for you or even bad real estate. Either way, it's time to drop it.
I'm not advocating for married people to drop their spouse like Kim, but I am advocating for people to drop what doesn't work and move on to what does work.
Drop the argument, move away from the bad thing and do what works for you. Apologize if anyone got hurt in your bad deal and start over.
The only way to live your dreams is to be honest with yourself. Stop holding on to things that hinder you and drop them. You'll be glad you did.

Role Model' is the last title you expect to hear associated with reality TV star Nicole "Snooki" Polozzi. This week while promoting her new book, Confessions of a Guidette' she talked about her reality TV personality as an alter ego. Off camera she said she is a strong, independent woman who is a good role model.
When living your dreams sometimes you have to step outside of yourself. Snooki's on camera persona may be a little too much, but it has bought her fame, money and a career she's proud of.
Stepping outside yourself isn't easy. There's insecurity, criticism and fear. You must believe in yourself and your own dream. Do what it takes to make them come true. If you've never traveled alone, don't be afraid to do it. If you need to promote your business, be bold and daring. Staying inside of your little box won't change your life. It definitely won't land you on TV or gain you the attention you deserve. It's time to step out of the box and go for it. Here's a few tip's to creating your alter ego and living your dreams.

1. Don't take yourself too seriously - Step outside yourself, make fun of your flaws and magnify all your good points.
2. Look the part - Dress like your dream ( or at least fake it til you make it)
3. Take Big Steps - baby steps will keep you in the box .. grow up, put the milk down and go grab a steak

This week E! television network aired two days of footage from Kim Kardashian's Fairytale Wedding. Kim Kardashian, who is living a real life fairytale with a lavish wedding and basketball hubby, isn't the only person who can live a dream.

You can live your own real life fairytale, no matter who you are. You don't have to grow up rich to have the life you want. Living the fairytale involves a little escape from reality. Fight for things you want, let go of things that don't help and ignore discouraging people and situations. Being strong and courageous helps the situation a lot. Don't allow overdue bills, the job market or your relationships to determine if you get to live your own fairytale. Here's a few tips to living your dreams and your own fairytale.

1. SET HIGH STANDARDS - The only path to living your dreams is to aim high. Always go after the best jobs, best dates and best of everything. Motivational speaker Les Brown says, "Shoot for the moon, and if you miss, you'll end up among the stars."

2. DON'T TAKE NO FOR AN ANSWER - If you don't get what you want, learn to negotiate or find that person that will say yes.

3. TAKE CHARGE - Don't allow people or circumstances to determine where you end up. If you're looking for love, try online dating. If you want to be a chef, go to culinary school. You can turn your career or life situation around. Don't let anyone tell you that it's not possible. have faith, work hard and believe in yourself.

4. PUT YOURSELF OUT THERE - Success comes to the person who is not afraid to put themselves out there. Keep going and be aggressive. Learn from your mistakes and be unstoppable.

5. REWARD YOURSELF - When you accomplish a task or a goal, don't forget to celebrate. A little bragging is ok. Repeat the steps when you finish celebrating.

In a world full of checklists and goals its easy to be judge, jury and executioner of yourself without anyone saying anything. I'm talking about the judgement you give yourself. This week superstar Jessica Simpson put her wedding on hold with her fiance. She took the pressure off of herself by putting the wedding date on pause. Simpson, who recently had a show about beauty, doesn't take herself too seriously because she has a lot of critics.
Are you your worst critic? Are you always tearing yourself down thinking it will make you better? Being overly critical of yourself will only hurt you in the long run. You'll spend your time, energy and money trying to prove to something to yourself.
There is nothing wrong with you or what you have. You just have to make yourself better. Mistakes happen, failures happen and a hair will fall out of place. Don't cry if you miss one hair appointment and don't die because you feel like you said something wrong.
I recently had 30 seconds of fame on a national TV show and the wind got to my hair a little. I was so worried about it all day. At the end, I looked great and it was no big deal. My hair wasn't perfect, but its ok. I'm not defined by a hair day, a bank account or where I live. What's important is my heart and who I am. Mistakes will come but what's inside will always count.
Stop judging yourself and live your dreams. It doesn't matter if you're not the smartest, richest or the most put together. What matters is getting what you want. The road along the way will be paved with bumps, so enjoy the ride.

Giving up is easy when things get tough. This week NBC kicked off season 12 of The Biggest Loser. The reality weight boot-camp gives a group of obese and overweight people a chance to change their life one pound at a time. One the first day of training, the cast is pushed to the limits.

When was the last time you pushed yourself to the limit? Top speed treadmill runs, laps in the dessert and military style push-ups are just a few of the tough tactics used to whip the cast in shape for the TV show.
A 400-pound man broke down in tears, while another person wanted to quit. But in the end they didn't give up.

It's time for you to climb the highest mountains and become stronger and better in your life. Hiding in your house will not change anything for you. get out there and take a risk, start something new or finish the things that you abandoned. You deserve a good life and a great future. It's time for you to get out their and make it happen.

Yes, it's going to be hard, scary and sometimes you won't want to get out of bed. In the end you must do it. You , must enjoy your life and live your dreams. Live a life you're proud of and be the person you've always wanted to be.

Take the first step today. Go do something that challenges you. Do something to take yourself to another level. Make a plan and stick to it. Find an accountability partner if you can. If you can't, network with people who are doing the things you want to do. Write and read positive affirmations everyday to keep yourself motivated. As always, I'm cheering for you! When it's time to wear a fitted party dress sometimes the gym takes too long. My new must-have fashion accessory this season is none other than Spanx. It's a formal wear undergarment favorite that can cross over to everyday life underneath any outfit, making Spanx the new black.

Eva Longoria and Kim Kardashian are among many celebs who wear them to achieve perfection. For those who don't know, Spanx are the undergarments that hide thick thigh, belly felt and smooth and shape lumpy things on your body. As a thin mama that always kept a healthy weight with small curves, Spanx were things that "other people" wore until recently. Now in my battle to lose a few extra pounds, I find the need for a little helper in making my clothes look extra fabulous.

From extra long to extra tight, the types of Spanx are endless. My best tip is to let the experts at the store help you. I love the customer service in Neiman Marcus. They are very helpful and have Spanx starting from $28 to $98. There's also a few different body shaper brands in other stores. Kate Gosselin, reality TV mom has lost her job with the cancellation of her show "Kate plus 8". Rumors are circulating about the mom's fear of how she will financially take care of her babies. Kate is a great example of how scary it can be living your dreams now. In my own life, fear, doubt and discouragement is responsible for many stumbles in my personal life and career.
My advice to you and Kate is to live your dreams in spite of fear. The worst thing you can do is run away, hide or live in defeat. Try to save as much money as possible. Kate may have to skip a few fancy shopping trips and go to networking events with entertainment industry people to get more gigs. The happy blond mom must believe in herself in order to do something new.
You must believe in yourself on your worst days. Quitting can not be an option. Settling can't be an option either. You must feed, clothe and give shelter to yourself and family but you must not go down a bad path that will lead to depression, hopelessness or a dead end job.
Believe in yourself and have faith that things will work out for the best. Work harder, learn new things and go work every day at your dream. Surround yourself with like-minded people and keep motivating things around you. Prayer works too!
Go out there and make new dreams come true. Be obsessed with mastering your craft and reaching the goal that seems impossible. Even when you feel your worst, dream at your best. Dream the scary dream and reap the rewards in reality with hard work and a positive attitude.

What do you do when the whole world knows you made a mistake? Michael Vick's $100 million deal is proof that no matter how bad things get, you can live your dreams now. Everyone knows his story, Vick lost his career due to illegal dog fighting and gambling operations. People said he'd never play again. He lost money, freedom and the media slammed him for all his mistakes.
If you've ever made a bad deal in business or accepted an assignment at work you did poorly, then you can understand how tough it is for people to judge you, make fun of you and write you off as a total loser. When he want to jail, Vick's dream of being a successful pro-ball player was shattered. Many said he'd never play football again.
Did you fail at living your dreams or do you feel stuck and don't know where to start? Failure and disappointment are a part of life. There is no perfect person and there is no perfect dream. You have to take charge of your life and look forward to the future. You CAN have a great life and live it on your terms. You DON'T have to give up or quit just becasue you hit a few bumps in the road.
What would have happened to Michael Vick if he would have given up in his jail cell and decided to just go away and never speak to anyone again? Michael Vick was not a quitter. Once released from prison he apologized for his bad behavior, became a spokesperson against animal cruelty and even landed a spot on a football team. This week he made the news by signing a $100 million contract with the Philadelphia Eagles, one of the biggest NFL contracts in the leagues history.
Vick has plenty of people waiting for him to fail, but they'll be disappointed. His body is in shape, his financial problems are over and he's doing what he loves. He's an inspiration to everyone who has or needs to start over.
It's time for you to toughen up and get back on the road to living your dreams. Yes, it's going to be hard. At times you may be your own cheerleader, but you can do it. Michael Vick is on top of the world and you can be too, when you live your dreams now and don't give up.

This week Kim Kardashian got married, R&B great Nick Ashford of the R&B power couple Ashford & Sinpson died and hurricane Irene made her move on the east coast. Though celebrity occasions were both happy and sad, the hurricane is the focus as we live our dreams now.

Being timid and shy won't get you to the top. You don't have to be rude or mean, just keep going in spite of any drama, confusion and obstacles that may be in your way.

Every now and again a single diva needs a vacation. For two weeks I've been on an announced hiatus from chiming in on celebrity examples on the Live Your Dreams Now! blog.. My vacation is like Jennifer Lopez giving birth to twins, time to start something new. I've renewed, refreshed and continued to travel. Now its time to motivate you again.
Life is more than a job, bills and responsibilities. we all have to take time to reflect on who we are, where we're going and how we get there. When was the last time you took some time for yourself?
Kids, jobs and all the issues of life are no excuse for you to skip taking one day or many days to relax and rebuild yourself from the inside out. Before you get that high priced vehicle or next high end label, don't forget about your personal needs. You're the most important detail of your life and you can't fall apart. Who said you can't live well in spite of your problems? Take the example of United States leaders. Budgets are cut, spending is slashed. Pick up the remote and you will find that every news outlet is talking about the same thing - DEBT. The government is in financial hot water and everyone has a different opinion about what to do.

On the topic of living your dreams now, in the times of crisis in America and in your own life, everyone has an opinion about what you should do.

Giving up your dreams and doing what other people think is best could be a great solution or a great disaster. What do you do when you have a great deal of debt, low or no income and few prospects? Giving up on whatever your dreams are might seem logical but think again.

You could spend years doing something you hate. Considering the state of the economy in the United States and many other countries, you could end up being laid off and losing the income from something that you didn't even enjoy.

You may be in debt, you may have problems, but giving up on your passions is not an option. You have to fight in a time of crisis and find a new way to get what you want and dream about. It won't be easy, but you can and will do it.

In the meantime, make as much as you can, save as much as you can and spend the rest on what you need. Come up with a new plan and study those who excel at what you want to do. If you're doing something new, study the closet person you can and go for it. Fear has never made a dream come true, but faith and hard work unlocks the door to it all.
