So in my last blog, I mentioned something about dancing in LA. Well, I’m not sure that’s gonna work out for me! Haha. I tried it, 2 nights, I just can’t go from being a feature dancer to a house girl, not that there’s anything wrong with that, it’s just that, I’ve worked so hard over the years to establish a name for myself. I don’t really want to be going up to guys asking for dances! And I don’t want to be racing to the customers as soon as they sit down, fighting for a lap dance! So I think I’ll stick to featuring, just taking a little break from it for a while.
I’ve been offered some funny as hell scenes lately. One of which I took. It’s a new craze called ‘Cuckold’. It’s where I have a slave/Submissive guy, who I treat like shit, humiliate with his small penis, boss him around, spit on him, step on him, kick him, hit him, and at one point, made him put on a chastity belt! All the while, I was fucking the legendary ‘Sean Michaels’, who ended up jizzing on the cuckolds head! Hahahaha. It was hilarious! So maybe your not laughing with me, but I’m sorry, this shit was funny, and it’s always nice to try new things. Though I’m not trying to crossover to Femme Domme scenes, I did just turn down a scene for tomorrow, not only was it a humilation/domination scene, but they wanted me to fuck the guy up the arse with a strap-on. At this point, I don’t think I want to start being type cast for these sorts of roles. Lol.
Chicago Exxxtacy convention was awesome! I’ve always loved that city, the people are just really fucking cool! A lot of fans showed up, I think a lot more than intended, which is great and means for sure they will have another convention next year. I also feature danced at Club O, which was fantastic! Big turn out, great crowd, did one awesome show on Friday night! Went out Saturday night with my good friend Noname Jane and her man Dick Danger, and the lovely Nikki Benz. We ended up at the Underground nightclub, where I gave my number to a hot bartendar. Haha, no I don’t do that all the time! We never ended up getting together, bad timing, but shiiiiiiit, maybe one day?? Why do I never meet anyone in LA?
Tuesday night, I co-hosted Porn Star Karaoke’s 7 year anniversary at Sardo’s in Burbank with Nikki Hunter. Co-hosted meaning, sat around talking to people, taking photos, drinking Chia Tequila, throwing out t-shirts and singing one song ‘Take it off’ by The Donnas. It was a huge turn out, very crowded, lots of porn stars, fans and industry peeps. Fun night actually.
I’m currently going over a script for a softcore movie I’m shooting, 7pm call time, which could mean 7am finish! It’s called ‘Emmanuelle’, based on the original series back in the 70’s. Though it’s very unique, bit of an Alice in Wonderland musical with simulated sex! Interesting. Will see how this goes! Not sure which channel it’s going to be on. These things usually end up on either HBO, Cinemax or Showtime.
I was going to start kick-boxing training again tomorrow, but got called to do this movie, it’s a 3 day shoot, very long nights. So I guess I’m putting off the training until next week! Can’t wait though, I miss kick-boxing so much, it’s been over 10 years since I’ve trained properly. Gonna be brutal, but for sure worth it.

Feature dancing is not what it used to be, so I’m actually contemplating stripping in LA! I think I’d prefer to not travel so much as I have been, and just stick around town and work for a while. Though I am headed to Chicago July 16-18 for the Exxxtacy convention, where I will be signing and selling merch and pics.

Well, I never quite took a vacation, though I did have a great time upgrading my apartment and running amok the last month! I’ve been out and about a lot lately. Had a great time seeing the Murderdolls at the Keyclub last week, and went to the after party at their house, good times!
Went to Porn star Karaoke on Tuesday night, and oh boy, drank a little too much Patron – no-body should have let me sing that night! Haha, but I was having a great time, letting loose for a change, and don’t really care what they say in the press! Though I hope there’s no terrible photos of me, since there were quite a few photographers there.
For the last couple of months, I’ve had a tough decision to make, regarding running as a candidate for senate for the Australian Sex Party. At first, it would seem like a great idea, however, after looking into things further, I decided it would be against my best interests right now, and would not be a good career move at this time, though I do still support the policies of the Australian Sex Party and wish them all the best! Last week, I shot a feature in which I was the lead female. I played a ghostwriter, for a ‘rockstar‘, the movie is called ‘Party like me – memoirs of a rockstar’, in which I did a solo scene and a boy/girl with Bon Jonsyn for his company ‘Pimp Luck Productions‘, Chris King shot the photo which I have attached. I had an Australian film crew come to set, who were filming a documentary about porn, they filmed me while shooting, and also an interview.
It’s quite depressing how slow the porn industry is. Although for some it’s great, however, I’ve been around a long time and shot a lot of movies and magazines! I don’t think I’ll transition into doing all the really crazy stuff that most girls are doing these days, not even anal, and therefore no double A, DP’s, ATM’s, gangbangs etc… Feature dancing is not what it used to be, so I’m actually contemplating stripping in LA! Don’t get me wrong, I am still down to shoot! There‘s just not that much work. I work damn hard to stay in shape and spend a lot of money on keeping myself looking good, and I’m not going to go through all that for nothing! I still love shooting porn, and really miss the acting side of things – yes I know, it may be cheesy to some, and a lot of you fast forward those parts, but it’s a hell of a lot of fun for me!
Actually, tomorrow I’m shooting some BG pics and vid for my website www.monicamayhem.com. I update my site as much as my schedule allows. I don’t just sit around waiting for work. I’m always doing something to stay busy. But then again, don’t want to burn myself and over-shoot too much content, since there is so much of it for free on the internet, it’s hard to get people to join websites!

I’m currently feeling very free and happy to be back home in LA. After a grueling, 5 weeks of filming the reality show ‘Tight’ with an all girl, porn star rock band. We first stayed in Vegas in a house with one bedroom and one bathroom, for 12 days. It was disgusting how quickly the house turned into filth! And no, it was not my doing, as I am a clean/neat freak! When we arrived, we were told we had 5 days to rehearse before our first 3 gigs, though not every day was spent rehearsing, as we had a lot of other stuff to film, including the hardcore scenes for Adam and Eve’s DVD version of the show.

The first few episodes will show me in a bad light, as I didn’t agree with the way certain things were being done, I didn’t like most of the songs, and I was being realistic rather than optimistic, on top of all that, I ended up getting really sick (and no-one, except Alicia the drummer, believed me) – which dragged on the entire tour, but I got through it anyway, and still rocked out to the best of my ability!

However, I did turn my attitude around by the time the tour started, as I had seen a doctor, got some much needed anti-biotics and I had got used to everything by that stage. I decided to just suck it up, deal with the drama, and rock the songs in my own style, rather than hate on them. Although the guitarist Layla, would not tune down to my key on certain songs, thinking she knew everything, which made things quite difficult for me. Not to mention dealing with bad attitudes and immaturity (the youngest girls were 19 and 20).

The cities visited on our tour were Denver, Santa Fe, Phoenix, back to Vegas then LA. Of course, no reality show would be complete without total drama! The camper van we traveled in was horrendous, there’s no way anyone could sleep in that thing, so tiny and crammed, very old. Some of the gigs were just terrible, whether it be the venues, or the fact that were weren’t prepared, and needed a lot more rehearsal time. The one place we really rocked, was ’Aces and Ales’ in Vegas, owned by Alice Coopers guitarist, Kerri Kelly. We played a great version of Poison that night.

I’m not going to go into too much detail, though I have kept blogs on the whole tour, for a special write up somewhere – will let you know when that is available in the future. All I can say is, there was at least one occasion where I lost it on Layla and Tuesday – the bass player, for being bitches and talking shit about me. No I did not hit anyone, I refrained from doing so and walked away before things got really ugly. Though Alicia on the other hand, did end up slapping Layla later on down the road, for her own personal reasons, which was awesome!

So to sum it all up, the show consists of Sex, Drama and Rock n’ Roll. It’s definitely going to be worth watching when it comes out. Not sure of the network yet, as the producers are going to edit it themselves and shop it around when finished. Will keep you all informed!

So right now, I am enjoying some much needed time off, after filming 35 days, a lot of 14hr days. I’m trying to take a mini vacation, but things keep coming up, perhaps a couple of days next week by the beach! I’m currently catching up on emails and phone calls, and have spoilt myself a little with a new bed, TV and a trip to the day spa! Can’t wait to get back into hiking and my healthy lifestyle. No more crap food from the road!

I really celebrated on the long weekend, hitting up a couple of hotspots in Hollywood. And had a farewell party on Wed night, as my best friends are moving back to OZ. Very sad. I think I’m going to take it easy this weekend, although, you never know what may happen!

It’s been a crazy hectic few weeks for me. Signed at Adultcon for a couple of days, which was great and so nice to meet my LA fans!

Meanwhile, I’ve been learning these 13 songs for my upcoming tour/reality show with ‘Tight’. I don’t know if I have everything fully memorized properly, but I did the best I could do with what little time I had to spare. It’s a lot of work taking care of business and preparing to leave town. There’s a lot involved but it’s TMI to talk about.

I’ve been shooting here and there, did two movies for New City Releasing, which I believe will be on Cinemax, softcore of course! We did a bunch of vignettes, all girls, very sexy stuff!

I shot some amazing solo videos for my website with Jay Allan and his fabulous new camera, I think it‘s the Canon SD or something, but everyone in the industry is now discovering this amazing piece of equipment. You can use still camera lenses on this HD camera, which, if you know anything about photography/cinematography, is a really big deal, and makes a huge difference in quality!

My webmaster is using the same camera, so you’ll be seeing some top notch content on my website.

Today I shot for twistys.com with photographer Dean Capture. Really beautiful stuff. 3 solo sets of pics and videos, which will also be added to my own website Monicamayhem.com I’m attaching a sneak peak of one of the pics.

I still haven’t finished packing for my 5 week trip, it’s tough to fit everything into 2 suitcases. Stage clothes, regular clothes, workout gear, pajamas, hair products, makeup, this that and the other! This is going to end up being a last minute rush job on Friday morning I’m sure!

I’m gonna try and have an early night tonight, preparing for my photoshoot for Hustler tomorrow. Let’s hope it makes the magazine! My first Hustler cover was November 2001, it was one of my most memorable days in this business to see that on the newsstands!

As much as I have to do right now, I thought I should get to writing my blog, since it’s been a couple of weeks. I needed a time out of my brain, and this is my mental release.

I’m completely overwhelmed, trying to take care of business, shoot here and there, preparing to go away for 5 weeks, having to maintain my looks, and learn 13 songs (which I had no say in FYI), and I gotta say, this could just be one of the toughest projects I’ve ever taken on in my life!

I can’t eat, I can’t sleep, and I don’t want to get hooked on xanax or sleeping pills to get me through. So what else can I do to de-stress? I’ve tried everything, passion flower, sleep herbs, meditation, yoga, cardio. Nothing works! I got no-one to help me with my day to day work, and no-one to come home too other than my furry little friend ‘Smokey‘. It’s really quite sad. Staying up till 2am every night trying to get work finished. Then not being able to sleep. But if I don’t do it, I’ll always question myself and kick my own ass for giving up. So failure is not an option at this point!

In case you didn’t know, as of 23rd April – 31st May, I’ll be on tour, filming a reality show,  with an all girl porn star band, consisting of: Layla LaBelle – Guitar, Alicia Andrews – Drums (brand new to drumming), Tuesday Cross – Bass, and Bree Olson as the ‘Manager’. We will also be shooting an x-rated version through Adam and Eve. We won’t meet until 23rd Apr, live together in a house for one week in Vegas to rehearse, then we go on tour – Vegas, Denver, Santa Fe, Albuquerque, Phoenix, Reno, Sacramento, San Francisco, and LA. And all the while, the cameras will be rolling 24/7, no doubt this show will be highly entertaining to watch! The show is called ‘Tight’. I’ll provide more details as I get them.

I really had no time to recover from coming back from Australia, 2 days later I flew to Plainfield, CT to feature dance at Stars. Which was great, rides for 5 was a big hit with that club!

Then I flew home, unpacked, re-packed, and drove to San Diego (2.5hrs from LA), to do 3, 45min live webcam shows for Naughty America. Still jet-lagged, by 9pm, I drove home and didn’t get back till midnight due to border patrol stopping everyone along the way! Then I had to read over the final contract for the reality show, sign, scan and send. That day was crazy!

The next day I shot my movie for Penthouse, tentatively titled ‘Bad Girl Club Sluts’, which involved a music/rehearsal video with a band I put together in a matter of minutes a week before! (Thanks Guys!). They really nailed my song ‘Fallen’, (although we had to play to a track, but I could hear them behind me) and the video is going to come out great I’m sure! I shot a hot g/g scene with Breanne Benson, and we were out of there by 1 or 2am I believe! I don’t mind, I love shooting with a big crew, and doing creative movies like that. And of course, feeling so glamorous as the star, being pampered in the make up room!

Since then, I’ve been trying so hard to catch up with everything that I need to do. And in between, which is actually part of my job, staying fit, hiking was the highlight of my weekend, it was a good 2hrs, around Griffith Park, with my best friend, catching up. Such a nice day. Will be doing a lot more of that from now on. I always feel so good getting out in nature and getting a good work out at the same time.

So now, it’s back to work for me. Speaking of working out, I need to call this kick-boxing trainer. That will surely help take my mind off things!

Oh and BTW, I released my first single online through Itunes and every other major digital music outlet. It’s called ‘Escape’ by Monica Mayhem (not Sweet Avenge anymore). Very happy to have done that!
