I recently shared some photos on my blog about Kristen’s turns 5 and mentioned that I would be blogging about her birthday party this past weekend. I envisioned a certain look for her party and thought I would have been super detailed, but I didn’t have as much time as I thought. I’ve been a bit busy with my wedding photography and other projects. The one thing I’m so glad I did was to reach out to the vendors that provided all of her desserts. I couldn’t have imagined all of it to turn out the way it did. Chad from The Cake Guys did a phenomenal job on Kristen’s cake. I even sent him a quick note right after I picked up the cake to let him know how beautiful his cake was. It was more than a cake to me at that moment, it was art. I know he and his staff must have put their heart and time into creating this masterpiece. They have been making out cakes since our wedding and I was just Wowed! when I saw this one. I don’t know if Wowed is a word, but let’s pretend it its. Ha! Now on to the cookies; McKinney Cookie Vanessa went above and beyond too! I had sent her a few photos of what I thought would be a good idea, but I’m just glad that she took the lead creativity with the cookies and designed them. She is great as a photographer and now as a baker! Vanessa is the photographer that took our recent family photos. Maria with Sweet and Delicious Candy Buffets also created a mini candy buffet for us and the cute purple cake pops! I did notice they were a hit and they were also strawberry flavored like the cake. I forgot to mention that the chocolate cupcakes were also from The Cake Guys.

All my other details like the seashell plates, sea related plates and cookie holders I bought a various stores like Home Goods and Pier One Imports. Also, a big thanks to Plano Party Animals for the awesome face painting and balloon making. She was great to work with and all the kids liked her. She is a fantastic artist when it comes to painting faces and creative at making out of the box balloons.

Our little girl is growing up so fast and today she turns the big 5! Happy birthday to Kristen and I’ll post a few photos from her birthday party this coming Saturday.

Seth and Griselda are a super sweet couple and we met at the Gaylord Texan Hotel in Grapevine, TX for their engagement portrait session. We used a variety of locations throughout the hotel for their gorgeous engagement photos. I also had the opportunity to take Griselda’s bridal portraits this past Friday and she looks stunning in her wedding dress. I can’t wait to show them to you all after Memorial Weekend!

Alexandria and Zach’s wedding reception at the Fort Worth Stockyards. 

Here is part two of Zach and Alex’s wedding! Earlier I posted part one on the blog and that wedding photography blog included some of my favorites from their outdoor wedding ceremony at the Fort Worth Botanic Gardens.  Alex and Zach had a fun wedding reception that included a live band and it’s local Fort Worth Latin Express Band. They also enjoyed our photo booth and you’ll see a few fun photos in here with the bride and groom in the photo booth as well as Alex showing their son Logan how to make silly faces for the photo booth pictures.

 Plus, you’ll see the cute bride and groom portraits that Alex and Zach took during their wedding reception. Logan came out at a good time and we included him in a few. He loves to give his mom and dad hugs and kisses!

Alexandria & Zack tied the knot!

Fort Worth Wedding Photography at the Fort Worth Botanical Gardens::

We are delighted to share Alexandria and Zach’s beautiful outdoor wedding ceremony at the Fort Worth Botanic Gardens. Their wedding ceremony was filled with love and tears of joy. Plus, what made their wedding ceremony even more beautiful was that their son Logan wanted to stand with them the entire time. Logan didn’t complain about standing, he just wanted to make sure he was right next to his two favorite people. They also had the music from Twilight playing as the wedding began. I immediately pictured Bella as she walked down the aisle to Edward. lol. It’s always fun to see how each wedding will be different and this was one of the things that made Alex and Zach’s wedding unique.

Paul and Sara’s gorgeous Destination Wedding at Le San Michele in Buda, Texas.

I met Paul and Sara over a year ago when I took their engagement photos in Grapevine. At that time they mentioned they were going to plan a destination wedding in Las Vegas. I didn’t think more of it and was just glad that I had the opportunity to meet them and photograph their engagement pictures. Fast forward months later and Sara contacted me. They had changed their wedding location to a venue near Austin, TX. I was thrilled when she asked if I could photograph their destination wedding! Of course I said yes and then we just kept in touch and waited for the big day to roll around. Sara and Paul you guys truly outdid yourselves! Your wedding was filled with so many details and I enjoyed capturing and documenting every moment of it.

I hope this sneak peek shows all of you what their wedding day was like. All the guests were wonderful and the wedding vendors were great to work with. Thanks again for allowing us to capture your wedding day.

I asked Ashlee Voda from Rachel Events, Sara and Paul’s wedding planner, what she loved about their wedding. Ashlee mentioned to me that she loved how the guests picked sides in regards to the groom’s cake. His cake was Dallas Cowboys one side and the Chicago Bears on the other. The Cowboys fans wouldn’t eat cake from the Bears side and the Bears fans wouldn’t eat cake from the Cowboys sides. She also loved all of the details that Sara created for the wedding and you’ll see those in the photos. ”Per Ashlee - Paul and Sara are two of the kindest people I have ever met and their family and friends are just like them. A great celebration that ended with a lot of dancing and the sweet scent of lavender.”
