Isn't it amazing? After winning the Best Album in the recent AIM, Faizal has Two of his songs in the finals of Juara Lagu. Trailing not far behind success is OIAM Season 2 winner as well!

Faizal Tahir and Ayu are in the finals of Juara Lagu 2009. Their songs, Coba, Sampai Syurga (Faizal Tahir) and Hanya di Mercu (Ayu) are finalists for the ballad category.

To date, Faizal has been nominated and won numerous awards and this is Ayu's first time in Juara Lagu.. and she's in the finals!

Lend them your support and hopefully someone will emerge the winner and make Monkey Bone proud.

Pengumuman Pembatalan Konsert ‘KAMI THE GIG’ di Kuantan

Petaling Jaya Selangor. 30 Julai 2008: Untuk perhatian semua peminat Konsert `KAMI THE GIG’, Konsert ke-5 `KAMI THE GIG’ yang bakal berlangsung pada Ahad ini, 3hb Ogos 2008 bertempat di Dataran Indera Mahkota, Kuantan terpaksa dibatalkan pada saat akhir.

Pihak Monkey Bone memohon ribuan ampun dan maaf di atas pembatalan yang tidak dapat dielakkan. Pihak Monkey Bone telah diarahkan untuk menghentikan persiapan Konsert bermula hari ini oleh Majlis Perbandaran Kuantan (MPK).

Konsert terbesar yang menggabungkan pemuzik-pemuzik indie anjuran Monkey Bone, ini telah pun masuk ke tahun kedua. Manakala pada tahun ini Konsert `KAMI THE GIG’ telah ditaja oleh HOTLINK, syarikat telekomunikasi pra-bayar no. 1 di Malaysia.
Konsert ‘KAMI THE GIG’ 2008 telahpun melepasi 4 bandaraya besar iaitu Johor Bahru, Ipoh, Melaka dan Penang yang mana telah berjaya menarik lebih dari 10,000 kunjungan peminat muzik indie dari dalam & luar negara.

Petaling Jaya, 13 JUNE - It's been awhile we didn't hear from our first grand winner of "One In A Million" and now she's back with her first newborn album simply entitle "Finally | Akhirnya". Suki, won the much talked-about reality singing competition "One In A Million" in 2006, garnering 39% on overall total votes.

"Finally | Akhirnya" contains 11 tracks which had the touch from various composer such as Kieran Kuek, Audi Mok, Anton Morgan, Sembilan, and Zain to name a few . This album brings the concept of pop rock to all the music lovers out there.

Kieran Kuek, once again, had given the opportunity to work in this album and produced his magical touch on writing and composing songs, as he had done previously for Ferhad and also Jaclyn Victor. Kieran had composed 3 songs for this album including the new dual language single entitles "Don't" and "Usah", featuring Head M and Daly of Ahli Fiqir, and Gadis Luar Biasa (G.L.B.).

"Don't" tell the story about teenage 'puppy love' and Suki did share her whole experiences on this song. "'Don't' is something different and fresh. It shows the real me, the real Suki. I believe this song suits me very well and it is something new to the fans. I always wanted to do this kind of music and Kieran had given me the opportunity to record this song. This song also features Head M, currently one of Fly Fm's DJ and Daly of Ahli Fiqir for "Usah". Hopefully the fans will like this song as I had worked hard for this one and gave the best of me to the fans!"

Music Video for "Don't" & "Usah" will also be release during the press conference. Both videos directed by Zali from Kino-I has its interesting story line about a girl who always dream to be a singer one day.

Suki had expressed her most gratitude feelings on her newborn album," I just feel relief that all the hard work is finally paid off. I would like to thank Ahmad Izham Omar, for giving me the chance to choose my own direction for my first album, writing my own songs and giving the opportunity to work with the best in the industry. I also would like to thank everyone who had work hard just to make this album a successful one. I just can't wait to see the reaction of my fans that had waited so long for the 'birth' of my album"

The One In A Million First Season Winner is Back!
It's been awhile we didn't hear from the previous grand winner of One In A Million First Season and now she's back with an album single. Suki, won the much talked-about reality singing competition "One In A Million" in 2006, garnering 39% on total votes.

Suki is releasing her new single, entitle "Don't", from her upcoming debut album due out in stores in the end of May. This song is produced by Kieran Kuek and features Honey Madu, the ex VJ from Hitz.TV and currently doing DJ with Xfresh FM.

Yeay! Congrats to our grand winner of One In A Million Season Two, Ayu, as her single Hanya Di Mercu, is the number 1 song for Carta Era on the 20th April 2008. Hanya Di Mercu had been on the chart for 7 weeks and thanks to the fans, the hard work had already paid off!

Hanya Di Mercu was on the 2nd place behind Chantek, sang by Altimet and Adeep of Fabulous Cat, last 2 weeks.

The music video will be showcased on the website soon. In the meantime, visit our youtube channel and be a subscriber! The video clip was shot in KL, selected areas and it includes beautiful sceneries. Oops, FULL STOP. Sorry, we can not give you guys the details on the video. After a controversial perfomance at the beginning of the year, our very own Superman has bounced back, bagging awards at the recent Anugerah Planet Muzik (Best New Male Artiste, Most Popular Male Artiste), and now conquering AIM 15 with 4 awards.

Penang Shanghai World Star Quest has been invaded ... Penang Shanghai World Star Quest has been invaded …Read all about it! Yes. The news is true. One of our monkeys or should we say the cutest monkey, Shila, had won the judges heart with her dazzling performances, in the Penang Shanghai World Star Quest 2008 (PSWSQ 2008), representing Malaysia.

The competition took place at Auto-City, Juru, Penang on the 26th of April 2008. She sang her new single, Memori Tercipta and one cover song from Britney Spears, Oops I Did It Again! The song, Memori Tercipta, produced by Aubrey Suwito and lyric by Tinta S, also was chosen as the best song through out the competition.

Shila has not only done our country proud but she also emerged as the youngest contender to win this competition ever.

Shila was shocked when her name was mentioned as the grand winner of the Golden Award of PSWSQ 2008,

"This is best thing ever happened to me and as a recognition to myself as one of the best singer in this country. Syukur Alhamdullillah with this winning, it has not only done our country proud but also as a gift to my fans who had supported me from day one.

I also want to thank 8TV and also my record label, Monkey Bone who had given me the trust to be in this competition. Obviously, the trust had been paid off and this whole excitement had been a new memory for me"

The ‘Superman’ Is Flying Way Up High!
I think it is not too late to wish congrats to Faizal Tahir who had won 2 awards, Best New Artist and Most Popular Male Artist at the Anugerah Planet Muzik 2008, which was held at KL Convention Centre recently. Faizal marked down two out of four nominations, which saw Best Male Artist won by Anuar Zain while Best Album grabbed by Gigi from Indonesia.

Faizal had stolen the show with his stunning performances with old time favourite, Mahakarya Cinta and also lovely duet with Bunga Citra Lestari, with Aku dan Dirimu. Faizal also did a gimmick where he changed the ends lyric of Mahakarya Cinta with an advice of reminding the people not to take off their clothes. The performances were the first for Faizal for an award show, after the ban which ended last 15 April 2008.

Faizal during the interview, express his most gratitude feelings, “Syukur Alhamdullillah for these awards. I wouldn’t be here without the supports of everyone, especially my wife, my two kids, my parents, Ahmad Izham Omar, who kept faith in me, Audi Mok, my record label, Monkey Bone, my management The 8Unit, media friends and also the fans! And I hope that Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore, together we can be the next music power house and go international!”

This is a huge comeback for Faizal despite the ban which prohibits him from performing live on television or any other media for a period of 3 months from January 15th 2008, due to his misconduct during the 8TV 4th Anniversary Concert, last year.

The next ‘battle’ for Faizal is at the AIM 15 Award. Faizal received the highest number of nominations for a male artist in Anugerah Industri Muzik 15 (AIM 15), scheduled to go on air on NTV7 the 3rd of May 2008 at PWTC, Kuala Lumpur. He received 6 AIM nominations namely: Best New Artiste, Best Vocal Performance In An Album (Male), Best Engineered Album, Best Rock Album, Best Musical Arrangement In A Song (Non Bahasa Malaysia) (La Da Di Dum) and Song Of The Year (Mahakarya Cinta).

The headline speaks for itself as this month our monkeys will be appearing and hopefully winning a couple of awards this month. Two of the major award events are Anugerah Planet Music (APM), which will be held on the 20th April 2008 and also Anugerah Industri Muzik (AIM), on the 3rd May 2008.

Our 'Rocking Superman', Faizal Tahir is back with a stunning start (after the big controversial thing, hmm..let'not talk about it) which saw him been nominated for 4 categories in the Anugerah Planet Muzik. Faizal is nominated for:
1. Best New Artist
2. Best Male Artist
3. Best Album and
4. Most Popular Male Artist.

Wow! What a great year this has been for Faizal. In the mean time we here at MB would like to thank each and everyone of you who voted for Faizal and let hope that our favorite 'Rock Star' wins an award for that night.

Anugerah Industry Muzik 2008
The fortunes have not ended there. Guess what? Faizal is also being nominated in Anugerah Industri Muzik 15 (AIM 15) and he holds the highest nominations for male artiste with 6 nominations. That is what we called a huge comeback! And the nominations are:

Suki, who is still in the studio recording her album, is excited with the nomination. "I couldn't believe that I was being nominated in this category as I'm busy with the recording for my first album which will be coming soon. I'm flattered with this".

"Its a great feeling..."
Faizal also had expressed his feelings, "Syukur Alhamdulillah with these big recognitions. I'd been through a lot and I could say that this had been the best year of my career. I believe there is a wisdom behind of all that had happened. And yes, I'll be keep on rocking!"

Make sure you guys catch both of our monkeys live at the APM Award as well as AIM Award. And maybe just maybe Faizal will be performing on both shows (I said maybe because I just want to keep it as a surprise ; ) ).

So, pray hard that our babies will prevail and triumph on both shows so we at the office will be more proud of them (I know you guys will be proud too… )

One in a million finally closes its curtain recently and Malaysia already knows who the winner is... Ayu from Sabah clinch the title as the second winner for the competition enabling her as the next One In A Million winner.

After giving a string of good performances during the weekly shows, Ayu gave superb rendition of her first song called Hanya Di Mercu, a song specially penned for her by the great Aubrey Suwito. She beat the challenges from favorite Shila and award winning singer Sara. Ayu showed beauty will never beat talent, and talent that won her the competition.

After a whole month of controversy and backlash from Malaysians, will Faizal Tahir stay and fight for another day? Rumor mongers are saying that he is planning to quit being a singer period. Are they true? Apparently this will not happen as Faizal has bounce back from the event bigger, bolder, faster and stronger (where have I heard this before???)

Sources close to him has revealed that he will make a huge come back when the time is right. He also added that during his lay off from live television events and shows, Faizal is preparing himself mentally and physically for his huge come back.

"Faizal is devastated about the whole ruckus and brouhaha that is happening around him and he has promised to show Malaysians that nothing will make him lose his confidence and ability to be the greatest performer in Malaysia" the source was quoted saying. Hopefully he will gain support from all his fans (Rockenstein's or not) so that his dream will come true.
