Spring Hill Rd. Closing at 518 Starts

Event Description: The Somerset County DOT roadway improvement project for Rte. 518 from Province Line Road to east of Spring Hill Road will begin during February 2012. The first phase of the project will include the replacement of the bridge under Rte. 518 at Spring Hill Road. The bridge replacement will require the closure of Spring Hill Road at Rte. 518 to ALL VEHICULAR TRAFFIC. As such, Spring Hill Road will only be accessible from Long Hill Road at the top. Detours will be posted. During initial discussions of this project it was estimated that the closure would be necessary for 6 weeks. Event Description: Four teen volunteers are needed to help at a Children's (preschoolers - grade school children) Drop-In craft. Volunteers will be helping the librarian set up the room, helping the children with the crafts and helping clean up the room. Volunteers will receive community service hours and must be in grade 7 or higher (up to 18 years old). Registration is required and begins Friday, Feb. 3. Beginning on the registration date, you may register by phone (609-924-7073 ext 5) or online (click the sign-up button below). You cannot cancel your registration online. Please call the Youth Services desk to let us know if you are unable to volunteer, so we can invite another person to help. For more information, please call or visit the Youth Services desk.
