We strongly believe every member of Congress should cast an up or down vote on-the-record. Legislation that will impact 17% of our economy, but more importantly, each and every one of us deserves no less. Is it too much to ask that they do the honorable thing - allowing us to see how they represented us?

Mr. Jefferson also said, “Honesty is the first chapter in the book of wisdom.” If you agree we hope you’ll call Congressman Tom Perriello at 888-486-6487 and request that congress cast a yay or nay vote on healthcare.

Annc: This has been Viewpoint from Monticello Media.

Charlottesville listed as one of the healthiest cities

From the City of Charlottesville's website:

In the February issue of Men’s Journal magazine, the City of Charlottesville is listed as one of the healthiest cities to live in the country. He served as Program Director there for two years. Prior to graduation, he was awarded the Media Communication Award for Excellence at WJBC. During his junior year in college, he worked Saturday mornings at WOKI, "The River." This position later turned into weekends/swing, to nights, and then finally, afternoon drive. During this time, he also worked at CMA Award winning WIVK, where he got his country radio start.

After a year of full-fledged country in East Tennessee, he finally came home to Virginia at WCYK, where he did afternoons from November 2006, until a few months ago. His life-long dreams are to tour Europe, interview Bono, and have a spot on VH1's "I love the 80's.” Tom is also actively involved with St. Jude Children's Hospital, the Red Cross, and the Muscular Dystrophy Association. At one point, he was even "arrested" to raise money for the MDA and Jerry's Kids.

Tom owns “three cats, three dogs, and three monkeys” (completely un-true; his apartment complex does not allow pets). He enjoys playing video games, meeting country music stars, traveling, talking radio, and fishing with his old man on the James River. Wake up with Tom and Pam on WCYK every weekday morning, 5am – 10am.

Email Tom at tmorgan@cvillestations.com.
