The mandatory coaches meeting will be on

March 7, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at the Recreation Department.

U.S. Sports Institute - Basketball & Sports Camps - Camps for ages 3-14

Basketball Camp YOUTH AGES 6-14

Description:

The US Sports Institute Basketball summer camp is ideal for children who want to
develop their basketball skills in a relaxed and fun environment. The focus of
the basketball camp is to improve the individual’s technique through a series
of fun basketball challenges and drills. Realistic basketball situations will be covered
in small-sided games, with the week finishing with the USSI Basketball camp
Super Hoops tournament.

SPORT SQUIRTS AGES 3-5

Description:

The Sport Squirts program introduces children aged 3 to 5 to a variety of sports such as Soccer,

T-ball, Basketball, Lacrosse and Hockey, all taking place in a safe structured environment ensuring

learning is taking place. Activities are designed to evoke a child’s imagination in which they can Find Nemo,

send Shrek into a spin or capture Jellyfish with Sponge Bob Square Pants. All activities promote hand-eye

coordination, movement and balance and most importantly Fun, Fun, Fun.

YES Coaches aim to develop three traits within players:

Each participant will receive a YES DNA evaluation along with a Legea ball and Dri-Fit Jersey. in 2012, due to the success of last years YESCamp, we will be offering TWO WEEKS OF SOCCER CAMP.

Any family who hosts a YESCoach for the week of Camp will receive a 50% discount on the camp fee.

Looking for a place to have a Birthday Party or event? The Montpelier Recreation Center is the perfect place to have a party. There is plenty of room for games and activities and no need to cancel a party due to bad weather. We also arrange reservation for Montpelier School facilities. Adult Programs

The Montpelier Recreation Department is well known for its kids and youth programs. Remember Recreation is not only for kids! We now offer a wide range of adult programs including, creative outlet programs, cultural and artistic dance classes, exercise programs, and alternative sports programs.

If you have kids that play our youth sports programs, we always are looking for volunteer coaches, just another way to stay involved in the community through the Recreation Department.
