Along with favoring things with clean lines and structural shapes, I've also been attracted to transparent accents. It started with a hunt for a certain style of jewelry, which had me leaving an antique show with a Mid-Century cube stacked necklace.

I picked up the two vintage bags with chunky clear handles while thrifting. I think they were donated by the same woman, and I would have loved to have a peek inside of her closet.

This outfit is the look I'm gravitating towards this summer. Easy but stylish pieces that come together quickly, but still project a level of sophistication. 

I've accumulated some thrifted pieces in the last couple of months to satisfy my minimalist Celine tastes but without the big budget needs. I don't know if people are still interested in seeing this stuff (I love looking at what other people are buying and wanting but apparently it sends other people into over dramatic convulsions and bizarre conclusions about how and why others spend their money) but if so I'll try to post some pics of my latest finds.

Jennifer Lawrence is kind of adorable in her don't bother me glasses and oversized hat. Plus, that jacket reminds me of one that I accidentally threw away *cries*.

I attempted to play around with layers the last couple of years, but I prefer the ease of pieces that stand on their own. If patterned pairings comes together that's great, but it's normally because I happened to hang two pieces next to each other in the closet and realized the colors work. 

I feel more comfortable letting one piece shine, and accenting with classic accessories like the look Alexa Chung is sporting above. I'm really lusting after those shoes.

My style as of late has been about minimalist, easy pieces made from natural fabrics. This hasn't been the easiest thing to find in stores, but this little skirt has all the right elements. The casual shape, sharp black trim, and silk fabric make for a very attractive package. Madewell, $88

I put myself on a high end nail polish ban for a while, but succumbed to a Dior one last week, and now the tranquil shades of Chanel's L'ete Papillon De Chanel collection are enticing me. Do I want the shimmering turquoise Azure or the electric blue of Bel-Argus? Chanel, $27

A relaxed ribbon is a simple but very pretty way of quickly gathering hair out of your face.

Town & Country has had some gorgeous editorials and covers lately (just check out the April issue with Allison Williams). I clipped this article from the March issue because it featured some of my favorite Spring 2013 pieces—Dries!—and it was shot at Frank Lloyd Wright's home in Arizona. 

Time to drag out my white skirts, stacks of silver cuffs, and dress down my fancier pieces with simple canvas shoes.

Is anyone going to see Oz the Great and Powerful tonight? The reviews are a little lackluster, but I will probably go just for the visuals. 

Prada's Fall 2013 collection was still floating around in my head when I picked up these new socks from J.Crew. I'm wearing them today under knee-hi boots but I thought I'd throw a little Dorothy inspired photo in here as well.

I loved the mood of the Prada show, but I'm trying to picture what the clothing will look like sans styling. From what I can tell shirts and dresses were just adjusted to fall off the shoulder, not made to stay that way, which means you could really do that with any button up top. Though I'm sure not as luxe as one by Prada.
