Acne is one of the culprit that takes away a teenagers confidence. When I was in high school, it created too many scars on my face that somehow I felt that the moon’s surface and my face is almost identical. So now that I have my own children, I want them to be prepared for battle. Not literal battle, but the battle against acne. I want them to be prepared in entering the world of puberty and all those physical changes including acne.

After I posted about hoping to get my own READBUD payment proof, I decided to search online for screen shots of payment proofs posted by others. Unfortunately, I was only able to get two screenshots dated a few weeks after the site was launched and most of these had comments of being fake. :(

Aside from that, I was also led to forums discussing the legitimacy of READBUD. Most have concluded that they are indeed a scam because of too many complaints posted by members who weren’t paid for their work.

Reading all those negative comments made me want to use the best wrinkle creams in the market. The news of probable scam has created major worry for me causing me to frown while reading them. I am determined not to go crazy for the holiday season this year. Now, I say that every year and every year I spend more than I want. If I'm going to cut back on the holiday spending then I know that I have to be smart. So I made up a list of rules that I think will help keep the holiday spending to a minimum.

The first thing I am doing is taking care of the work world by organizing a big gift exchange. Every year I get one person something and then feel bad that I'm not getting something for everyone. This year we draw names out of a hat, we then determine a dollar amount and I have one person to shop for and no hard feelings. This will ensure that I don't spend more than 25 dollars.

For my brothers and sisters we are getting a little older so what we decided was that we were only buying for the kids and not ourselves. Although I'm sure my sister would like one of the many handbags I know she's been eyeing, I'm going to focus on her kids instead. This will be a good way to see the people happy who are truly in the holiday spirit.

I'm not going to buy anything that I think I can get online for cheaper. I always see something in the store and grab it because it's easy. But I want to make sure that I am saving my money. So anything I see that I think is pretty common I'm going to wait and go online and get it for cheaper. If I can't I'll go back for the item. If I have to I'll buy it and return it, but I'm not spending like a crazy person this year.

According to Paul Woolley, a professor at the London School of Economics, devoting such a high percentage of the economy to finance is dangerous and ineffective.

Woolley compares finance to a utility such as gas. Most people on Wall Street do not buy into Woolley’s assessment, but he is providing the numbers to back up his claims. His Woolley Centre for the Study of Capital Market Dysfunctionality is in the process of attempting to prove his thesis that markets are not the effective systems that most Wall Street players claim.

Woolley formed this claim after watching the collapse of the dotcom bubble in the late 1990s. Watching people throw money into a technology and industry that had not been established showed Woolley that many investment banks seek out trends and surf bubbles rather than putting their money into the most productive outlets.

Banks have superior information and can charge enormous fees to client who are willing to bet on something unsure — due to the advice doled out by the bank. In short it is in the bank’s economic interest to make a massive short profit regardless of what happens to the investor. This transfers wealth to bankers and produces the type of environment where families are like leaves blown about by the whims of the market.

Most of us think that to gain muscle definition and tone, lifting weights is necessary. However, that is not true. Squats are also an excellent way to shape up the lower body muscles. Just like with push-ups, vary the positions of your feet to workout all your muscles.

My children are very excited every time Christmas season comes. They always expect to have new toys and eat lots of unusual dishes like spaghetti, ham, Queso de Bola and many others. Somehow, as a parent, I don’t want to disappoint them since Christmas only happens once a year.

Okay, you may remember that last time I really resolved to lose weight because my figure is getting worse. I started on everything that would get my body back to its original shape--diet, exercise, and then I told diet pills. But then I lost track and I lost my resolve again to continue with my weight loss regimen. So It has been three weeks now since I have set foot in the gym and I have been bingeing on sweets. Not a good idea.

I had tried a diet pill last time that had Resveratrol and it was pretty good. It is just that I did not continue with it. Maybe next time for my second batch I will buy diet pills online because they are cheaper. I will just have to compute the shipping charges though. Sigh... My friend and I have been talking about how to invest in gold coins. It gives a special feeling that we are talking about such things. If I were made to choose, I would buy an HP Laserjet Printer. HP printers had always been reliable and cost efficient. I have a friend that uses HP laser printers in their office and she says that their two printers have not given up on them in a period of five years. The printers were just replaced because of wear and tear and not because of trouble. And the laserjet toner, especially the laserjet 5500 toner, lasts quite long, too.

Toners can cost a big amount of money when you buy them. They are not expensive, they just cost big. That is because they can print a lot of pages. My friend says that their proofs for their magazines are printed on their printer and one article can be edited up to five times before the final page is released to the printing press. I can only imagine how many times they use their HP laser printer in a day. But despite that, their HP printers last long.

Wow! I have been reading much about gold on the Wall Street Journal and I have learned so much! They call gold as an inflation "hedge", especially that now almost everything is affected by the global economic crisis. I was struck. I have never considered or thought about buying gold in the past. But I think that I will have to strongly consider to buy gold with my hard earned Paypal money.

You see the value of the dollar has greatly diminished. For a dollar earner like me, that is a big problem. In the past, my $100 would rake me P5,000 but now, I am good if I get it at P4,100. Imagine that. While it may be good for the country, it is not good for individuals like me who spare sleep just so I could earn some few dollars online. That is really sad. So with my readings at the Wall Street Journal, I am given a new perspective about investing. The next step is where to go and how to handle gold transactions especially online. I am thinking of printing some advertising materials and marketing collaterals for my online business. Although my business is mostly online, there will be people who will benefit if I advertise my products and services. Maybe I can have fliers printed and then given out during special occasions. And I will really get to printing my business cards. We do hold blogging events and it would be really nice to promote myself to new bloggers.

I have thought of asking around local printers but I found that I could also get printing for less online. It would be nice to have local printing but sometimes I really do not have the time to go around. And most especially, I really do not know my way around the city yet! haha Well, I do know how to go to SM City and Robinsons and other major establishments. But if I don't, I ride a cab.
